Well, I said screw it and brought the car to the body shop yesterday to fix the damn paint. Gonna take 2-3 weeks; you all will see it in about 6 months lol
Still looking good, i have a white 16 coupe v6, unfortunately its touring so no stick but still enjoy it alot , i bought a paint stick to touch up some stone chips but it only has 98 km on it , already had belt service , just want the vcm module to get rid of the vibration, its quicker than i expected, enjoy your content man 👌
My 8th gen sedan needs so much interior refreshing and this just made that even more apparent to me. Two years of slinging pizzas did a number on my car, but at least she still has it where it counts!
I just bought one of these one owner clean carfax full matinaces records. The hood has some small chips in the paint from road debris but the rest of the car is flawless. 120k miles $13k I don't like the color much though I like blue better than red. Really like yours.
I have a 2013 accord coupe in blue, I recently did some touch up paint work and it was totally worth it! My oem chrome lug nuts are starting to rust as well. I plan to get the black lug nuts to change it up. Do you just keep the spline drive socket in your car if you ever have an emergency and have to take it to a tire shop. OEM was $120 to replace all 20. I plan to just go to my local auto shop for after market ones that fit my accord for $32. Is that what you would recommend. Love these accord updates btw. My 4 cylinder accord coupe just broke 67.5k miles and love keeping it as new as possible. With it being a 10 year old car it has been incredible.
After some thought, I ended up dropping the car off at a body shop a day after I made this video lol. It'll be right after that. Yeah I keep the lug nut key in my glovebox. If you have factory wheels you wanna make sure you get the proper replacement lug nuts; most aftermarket wheels use tapered seat but the factory wheels are different I believe.
Great car. I've got a 6-6 and it's in worse shape than yours for sure, but def looking to your build for some inspiration. Mine is in the grey color pattern for the 2016 year, def liking the stealthy look your car has so I feel I'll probably lean the same way. How would you feel about some electric cutouts for the exhaust?
Thanks man. Mine's definitely still a little rough around the edges cosmetically but video hides it well lol. I don't like how these sound without cats or resonators so I wouldn't do that personally, not to mention it's not legal here
That sucks about the manifold. I think because the IM is magnesium it's tougher to do properly? I've been on the fence about mine because I hate the look of the cover too. I've been thinking about just polishing the upper portion of the manifold while still on the car and painting the top plate wrinkle red as my 6-6 is San Marino. Great video.
You can go to your dealership or buy online from an OEM parts retailer. Just get the badges for a 2017 Honda Civic Type R. The rear one is a tiny bit smaller but it's not really noticeable unless you put them side by side
Maybe? I'm sure someone makes a navigation capable double din, but at that point I'd just get one that supports CarPlay (like I had) and use your phone for navigation.
im comited into owning one in the future, determined to buy one, not as my first, I dont wanna end up in no mans land if that makes sense, probably not, but nonetheless this gen of accord is the best cause of the v6 in my opinion. Keep it as long as you can, im sure it has been bulletproof and robust since you bought it. And makes great noise with aftermarket exhaust. i wonder if there is some kind of aftermarket thing that adds carplay and android auto to the unit itself, im not sure but if you dont need it, why bother. I know there are aftermarket headunits out there to modernize your interior but its debatable if its worth it
Fully agree, it's my favorite gen of Accord for a reason. It needed some TLC when I bought it but since taking care of everything it's been dead reliable. It does have CarPlay and AA, that was standard with EX and up starting in 2016. Unfortunately the radio crashes and glitches out frequently but I'll take what I can get lol
@Dell0304 hey you know you win some you lose some, what really matters that you drive your dream car everyday and its always an amazing feeling to drive it.
That's not how it works lol, wrap will show any and all imperfections in the underlying surface. Car needs paint. I'm considering just getting the fender done for now
