My night time routine
I have been asked many times about my night time routine. Here it is. Short, sweet and to the point. As always, any questions are always welcome!

At age 58 I've always been a morning brusher only and way less than 2 minutes. When I found your channel a few months ago I began brushing morning and night 2 minutes each and using the waterpik once per day, usually at night. My dentist is going to flip when she sees me in 4 months. lol.

Thanks to your previous videos I purchased a waterpik about 6 months ago and my dentist has never been so happy with me!! So refreshing in the morning. I don’t have sensitive teeth (I can bite into ice cream no problem), but oddly enough I find putting “quite hot” water in my water pic much more comfortable than Luke warm water… but each to their own! Thank you for your videos.

Hello, My name is Marian Stoica, I'm from Romania, and I only found out about this RU-vid channel today, and thank you very much for all the videos posted here! These tips are very useful, because this is how we learn to overcome the fear of the dentist! Unfortunately, I didn't know how to take care of my teeth, and now, at the age of 45, I don't have half of my teeth anymore... a lot of teeth decayed, and in the end I had to to go to the dentist, and he found that there was no way to save them, and he extracted them! And the only solution is to get dental implants, but those are very expensive, and I can't afford them! Kind regards! Marian Stoica

Try the the new oral b io 9 toothbrush, if you havent already. It's a bit pricey but it'll take your tooth brushbrushing to a whole new level.

I already have it. And use it. Thank you

I have an oral B electric toothbrush. Is there any concern to use either the oral b or sonicare for crowned teeth and/or implanted teeth? I've heard some say that that it's best to use a manual toothbrush for those teeth because the electric brush may be too agressive (vibration wise). Also I saw on the other video about the orawell products. I have a routine that I use organic virgin coconut oil, add a couple drops of clove and eucalyptus, maybe a drop of teatree oil. Oil pull for 5 mins each morning and then brush. What do you think of that. Thanks.

There is zero contraindication with using an Oral-B or Sonicare with crowns or implants. The vibration helps remove and loosen bacteria. They are 100% safe. Manila brushing is far less effective and sometimes does more damage if a person uses to heavy of pressure. The electric brushes have so much research behind them. I’ve personally used them for years. As well as have most my patients use them. As for your oil pulling then essential oils, again not an issue. As long as your gums do not burn or tingle, you are good to go. Each of those oils are excellent for a healthy balance of bacteria in the mouth. Sounds to me like you have a pretty solid, consistent routine. At the end of the day, it’s the consistency that matters most. Keep it up 😷

Do you leave the toothpaste on your teeth after brushing or rinse your mouth? It looks like you put a little water in your mouth but you didn't spit it out.

I rinse with very little water. I mostly spit out the excess toothpaste, then use a little water to get paste off my lips

Doc is that electronic toothbrush, and how often should you use it to buy a new one? Thanks

It is a Sonicare. Which is a rechargeable electric toothbrush. I use it twice a day. Everyone can use it twice a day every day. You replace it when it breaks or no longer holds a charge 😷

I am brushing my Invisalign trays. I wear them roughly 21 hours out of the day and they need brushes along with my teeth

@@holistichygiene I’m doing Invisalign too! I brush them with bar soap, and I clean them in an ultra Sonic cleaner with some hydrogen peroxide twice a day-I’ve never had any issues with them! I also use the same water & hydrogen peroxide mixture for a week. Some people use denture cleaners for theirs daily, but that gets expensive, and what I’m doing works great to keep them fresh and clean! No build up. I only drink water and light colored tea with mine in, like peppermint tea or green/jasmine tea.

I wish this routine took me three minutes lol I have to waterpik, floss, then brush for 3 minutes lol it’s a lot to try and keep your teeth. I can’t believe I have to do this for the rest of my life so I try not to lose them 😢
@holistichygiene

It is a lot of consistency. But it’s worth it! I usually brush for over 4 minutes at night. And waterpik. It is a habit I have put in place as a teenager. Use your phone to distract you while brushing. It helps pass the time 😷
