Wow! This made me smile! So nice to hear about your experience! I play keyboards this tour with them and can say that its true, they are the kindest and humble guys ever! The animal on the cap is actually not the same as Kapybara, its a ”Beagle” a mix of Beaver and Eagle since the tour is in Canada and US ! (National animals) henriks idea.. 🥰😂 Thanks for coming!!
Ohhhh hahahaha! I love their sense of humor. I gotta say you were the cornerstone to their set. I was listening to your vocals in amazement the whole night. Even though most folk probably don’t realize it you really make their live sound as close to the recordings as possible! Lots of respect! 🫶
I was at their fantastic Seattle concert a week ago and I was just as impressed with your talents as a keyboard player, vocalist and vocoder master. You were an irreplaceable part of their sound that night. Best concert I have seen in my 72 years. As with most of the audience, I am a musician and vocalist and the level of musicianship I witnessed that night was totally off the charts.
You rock, man! I knew they had a fourth musician when they toured live since I'd seen some videos, but it was so cool to see you in action with the other guys.
This made me so happy! Thank you, Jeff, for sharing this wonderful meeting with the guys, the legends. What a great feeling for you to see Jonah's smile - and he looked so happy to see you. I can only imagine being on tour, seeing thousands upon thousands of faces, and suddenly see someone you recognize. What a joy! Thank you again, Jeff. This was wonderful to see. Cheers from Gitte 🫲😃🫱
Great video, thank you! I saw them in Montreal in March, had a VIP pass too. They are very down to earth, easy to approach, such nice folks! The concert was of course amazing but what probably impressed me the most was Jonah's voice. His live performance given the demanding pitch range and all is just incredible.
You are so lucky to have such a great experience like this with them! I saw them live in 2014. Who would have known they would blow up like this. I certainly hoped they would.
Great video! I did the VIP meet & greet in Denver. They were sooooooo nice and generous! (I wish I had thought to have them sign my VIP pass like you did.) And of course the show was incredible. I REALLY love those guys! I will seriously fly to Europe to see them play if they don't come back to the US soon.
Tysm again for sharing your Dirty Loops experience with us, Jeff. 😄 I had to watch it more than once. It was like reliving the joy of seeing them all over again! 🤩 I'm sure none of your subbies were shocked to see Jonah's thrilled expressions of finally embracing you in person. It's so evident how mutually endearing your previous exchanges and rapport with him were, even leading up to these moments... So the darling merch lady was Jonah's wife?? 😃 Wow! She was among the first to appreciate the role-switch shirt I made! And the "Beagle" on the VIP hat was a clever touch on Henrik's part. 😂 Oh how I wish I remembered to mention your name when I met them, but I digress. The dance contest, asking how many musicians were in the crowd, the colorful vocals... So many great details highlighted these evenings for their fans, and they deserve all of that super positive energy in return. I look forward to your future adventures with them. Much love from Atlanta 🩷
Hi Jeff, I was there at the gig too, awesome. What a treat! P1 listener always to your podcast. Also a huge Stepanov and L and F fan too. You like all my music dammit! 🙂 Thanks for all you do.
It’s always a treat watching Jeff because he shares my passion for Dirty Loops! It would be amazing for all three to be interviewed by you, I couldn’t think of a better person to do it.
Not at all surprised that Jonah remembered you. Such nice guys, amazing musicians and down to earth all three. Saw them at home here in Stockholm, great concert of course here as well.😊
It's so easy to be happy for you, and for Jonah, for the two of you being so happy to see each other! Heart warming! Of course it is also nice that you liked the concert, but I doubt you had any doubts about that beforehand!
Being star struck can be a very beautiful thing. Im glad you had this experience. Your happiness really spreads :) Im glad that the guys in DL is good guys off camera also. Being genuine 2024 is to me a very important thing when supporting/following someone even if its an artist, content creator or whatever. Thanks for the vid :)
@@StrateleStudios Their capability mixed with how grounded they are, their humor and constant smiles... Awesome combo! Their ability to create songs with that high level of energy, every time making the listener wanting more! Kind of rare to me, I have seldom felt that "need for more", as a DL-song just ended... I am so happy for them now, getting on display, getting to display themselves, over there!! It is art and it is fun, and they deserve all credit they can get! Cheers my friend!
I was there Saturday! It was a great show! 1 hour and 45 minutes without stopping. "Rock You," was the highlight for me. Glad you had a great experience meeting them. Jonah's singing was incredible. Every time he did a run or hit a high note the crowd would scream. Henrik is amazing. Arron's drums were great. The mix was excellent too. Hopefully we don't have to wait another 10 years to see them again.
So fun to watch through your eyes Jeff 😊 Great to see how happy you were. Their music does the same for me. Great guys , fantastic musicians and music , what more do we need ?! 😊
Well if I wasn’t excited already for the show I’m going to in May, I sure as heck is now! Wonderful video! Great stuff Jeff & friends. Holy cow how good they are. Cannot wait to see them in the flesh!
I’m glad for you, Jeff, that you were a part of this concert. And even more, that you have had this wonderful “meeting” with Jonah… how exiting 😊👍🏻. These guys are really extraordinary, not only like musicians. And I have to say, that I’m a little bit jealous, because my concert in Leverkusen/Germany was canceled, due to an illness of one of them 🤷♂️. Greetings from Germany, peace 😎💚🌻
Super cool experience! I saw them in Vancouver last week - there were only 4 of us who got VIP tickets, it was literally a one-to-one hang with the band. We got to go up on stage and check out all their gear too. It was unreal. And they were so friendly! Pretty sure the winged animal is an eagle-beaver hybrid, representing the USA/Canada tour. 😆
Had the VIP in Seattle and they were so on!!! The manager got some additional pictures of Aron's kit and I got them to sign drum head!! Such nice people and so freaking tight!!!!!
Wow! What an experience (jealous) Hope to see them live in Stockholm when i get some time off - until then it´s RU-vid serving as the substitute, watching new people discover, seeing their reactions is always uplifting i find. My sub apparently fell away somehow, but i´m back now 😉
He should most definitely remember you because you gave him the single most heartfelt interview I can ever find on the Internet. Jonah is quite shy, but man in your interview he must have felt so freed! Got the same cool beaver shirt as you! All three were absolutely so kind and personable. But I truly wish they had their song books available. I envy you so much!
Dude, I remember seeing you! I was there a few "rows" behind you! (I even see my face briefly when you turn around haha) Thank you so much for the upload. This show was absolute magic and I met a lot of really great people there. DL scratch so many itches at once. I'm an avid fan of prog rock, but also funk and pop, and they do it all seamlessly. Just subbed to your channel. Greetings from Huntington Beach!
@@StrateleStudios 22:29 exactly for a millisecond, look at the dude holding the phone up, in between his arms, I'm right there... but only briefly. 🤣 Looking forward to more reactions and content, my friend!
Thank you! I was there and you truly captured the spirit of the night and the absolutely incredible music we heard at the Fonda. As a fan it was truly a dream. Jonah hitting those insane runs, his beautiful voice filling them room clear like a bell. We won’t even talk about the keys, just major. He also as you said made it so fun! Aron live is unreal to see him play and hear the changes done so well it was incredible. And Henrik to see him play live and the improv of the charts done flawless. Once in a lifetime with some of the best musicians ever! Thanks for the recap of an unforgettable night!!
I was at this show and it was beyond astounding! Everything you shared, Jeff, was spot on as to how tight they were and all the little extra things not on the recordings. Fantastic show!
I'm so happy for you to make this happen. I really need to get my act together and see them myself. I got a friend at work that asked my a couple of times and we are living in the right town too. :)
Thank you for sharing! I was lucky to be at this show too (so regret not splurging for VIP 😢) - I totally agree what you are saying about Aron and the difference in seeing him live! I was in the balcony and it was a great view. I love and appreciate these musicians so much - even more so after seeing them live. I hope they come back soon. I'll definitely do VIP if available next time!
Saw them in Dallas this last Friday night, been waiting for over a decade to see them in concert! What an amazing night with an absolutely top-shelf, highly talented, great bunch of guys. Was also amazed at the wide age range of folks who definitely appreciate incredible musicianship! A night I will NEVER forget. Please come back soon DL!
Saw them in Seattle at the Crocodile on the 8th- same set list, as I recall... had some drink tickets because I stayed in the hotel above the stage :-) for the night. Did not get the VIP but heard/ felt the sound check through the floor of my room LOL. EXCELLENT show!! and super awesome dudes.
What an amazing experience, Jeff! And your footage is awesome! Thanks for sharing it here. I wonder if Jonah, Henrik, & Aron realize how unique & fantastic they are as people & musicians. I love many many types of music & artists & I often want to share the music I love with people I know. But. Dirty Loops is the only band that makes me want to share their music with strangers: the drive-thru kid at McDonald's, the random UPS guy that I had to force myself not to chase down the driveway with my phone, some lady I met at a craft weekend, who said she used to play bass & did I hand over my phone & force her to watch two DL videos, perhaps against her will? Yes. Yes sir, I did! I think everyone should know them! Much love!
@@lavenderbluemama953 oh I haven't reached craft fair-level evangelism yet. 😂 But it almost rolls off the tongue these days how much I admire them. I have humbly turned 3 family members, 2 coworkers, and a random security guard I spoke to on my lunch hour one day onto Dirty Loops and would like to do the same for anyone I come across 🤩
Jeff, lets mention the 4th guy..he, to me, is so integral to the overall sound of DL.Great keyboard player in his own right and his vocals with the harmoniser system is mindblowing..To me, the whole damn thing is pretty much 'live',which I didnt expect and so close to the studio recording.
Yeah, when we saw Dirty Loops in Oslo, one of the main takeaways for me, being a singer myself, was the amazing quality of Jonah's live singing. It's so easy to start forcing, esp. with that sound pressure, and Jonah's high notes are so dependent on a perfect balance. He performed excellently throughout, with no sign of fatigue.
I saw them in Denver, and I was sitting behind the sound board, and the sound of that snare was so perfect and cutting. Obviously the show was great, but man that snare. And you can hear it so clean in your video. So great
I had the time of my life at their Boston show, which was one of their first ones. They barely had any merch, just two different t-shirts and the vinyl Phoenix albums, but I got a signed album and got to meet them, which blew me away since I didn't expect any of that! Henrik's system malfunctioned during his solo in Run Away and the sounds didn't cycle like they were supposed to, so he made some jokes about that after the song. You're totally right about Jonah being funny and disarming on stage. IDK if he did in your show, but during one of the vamp sections he had the audience all do their funniest dance move and he said that he would try to copy the best one during the last chorus. My best friend did a dumb pencil jump while waving his arms weird and Jonah copied his for a while lol. So glad to hear your experience was a good one; you deserve the recognition for being such a prominent fan and making such great videos about them. Keep it up!
Yeah he does that for Lost In You! It’s so fun! He did that for us that night too! Glad you had a great time! That’s interesting about Henrik’s solo, guess that’s the great part of live music!
Jeff, great video. I recently saw them at Irving Plaza in NYC and they were Fire! Can you please recommend to Jonah that Dirty Loops should do a collab with the band Lawrence. It would be incredible. If you are not familiar with Lawrence, watch their videos on RU-vid and go down the Lawrence rabbit hole.
This would be how I’d react to a Meet n Greet with you Jeff! A session player friend of mine told me that when his employers did the VIP experience thing, they insisted on having an ‘actual’ sound check before the VIPs arrived, so when they did, they ended up fabricating some tweaks and changes to the levels in order to make it look legit 😂
I'm so happy for you Jeff!!! I screamed when Jonah recognized you hahaha Thanks for sharing your entire experience, including the song list and how kind and humble the guys are 🫶🏻 Question: How many people do you think bought the VIP ticket? P.S. I'm just a fangirl smiling the entire video hahaha
Sounds like an awesome night! I saw them in SF on this tour, and it was really a fun show. The sound sort of sucked in the venue (overwhelming, boomy bass), which is a shame, but the band were great.
I was at their first NA show in Toronto and it was flawless. Except... I was on the floor in the middle, and all of us there were bummed at how the far too loud kick drum was drowning out the vocals and bass to the point of distraction. The general volume was just right, but my viscera were vibrating from that kick. Was this the case for you?
You can get the shirt that has the dirty loops logo on the hat and Jeff’s pillow on their merch store but that’s the only one. All this other merch is exclusive to their shows
This was an amazing night!!! I had fun as well, best concert I’ve been to 🤟🔥 glad he remembered you man! Good thing I caught it 😂😂 sorry for yelling over it 😂😂😂 and it was so cool to meet you man! 27:52 that’s me!!! 😂
And now I've watched the video. 🥲 Totally made my day. Thank you Jeff. This was so beautiful in so many ways. Now we just need Fiddlestix to get to watch them as well 😄 Would love it if you got an interview with the whole band!
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience. I had the opportunity to see them in Montreal at the beginning of their tour! What an unforgettable experience! I can’t wait to catch their next show. Next time I’m definitely investing in the VIP. I was too afraid to get the VIP and not make it with the shitty Canadian winter weather traveling. 🤪 I drove 3hrs - I slept in my car- took 2 flights to go see them and was it ever worth the insane trip.
This, Jeff, had me smiling all the way through! What a fantastic night, -one to remember for sure… Thanks for all the footage and pics and all of these utterly heartwarming stories. It feels to me as if it’s a bit of a family, the three Dirty Loopers, you, and all of their and your YT followers… (Only thing missing that night was me 🤣) Thanks to Bimbo for that little vid, that was awesome! What a moment to capture 🙏 Oh man, so glad for all of you 👍✌️🤘
