Dave you're such a good person. Before I started watching your channel I seem to recall that your brother passed away not that long ago. I don't much remember hearing about your Dad but i kinda get the drift. As a subscriber and fellow Sparky I know how talented you are and the excellent quality of your work. Surely there's somewhere locally that would benefit from your skills and provide you with a renewed purpose in life. You've been a source of much entertainment and knowledge for me. You have always served others. I pray that you find a way to serve yourself. Thoughts and love to you always Dave. Hugs from Julie and I.
Thank you both very much for the kind words. I try to help folks around my area when they need it. That keeps me busy. Lately I been donating some dirt to the local church. Their members have helped me with firewood. There is a land developer that gave me topsoil so I been helping him with a super soaker build. I think that video may come next. You and your family have been great emotional support as well as financial assistance more than you ever needed to. I guess good people attract good people. Love you all dearly!!!
If I had one of those showers my wife wouldn't let me or the boys in the house until we showered regardless of the weather. That's a nice system you have. Great work. Sorry to hear about your losses. I'm new to your channel. Just found it looking for tractor hydraulic info. It was good hearing your ramble at the end of the video. I'll be watching more of your videos and look forward to future content.
Nice the way you built the shower Dave! Out door shower are pretty popular in Louisiana for years. A lot of people put them out by their pools. Have a good weekend! See ya!
Dave, thanks for all the skills/info you've taught folks over the years on RU-vid. Sounds like you're down, but I see that grand shower and to me it looks like you're king of the castle. My wife has been asking for an outdoor shower for years but I really haven't understood the vision until now. Doesn't look too bad. I'd probably plumb into our existing hot water loop under the house in the crawl space. For sure it would make a lot of sense when I am dirty from working outdoors (which is most days).
Thanks for the kind words. Yes if I could have I would have tied into my water on the house. This house has a finished basement so where I’m sitting the shower there is no access to the hot water line. That would have been nice and made things easier and saved me the cost of the heater. You will enjoy the outdoor shower. I love this thing. Typically I shower in 5 minutes but this thing has me lounging in the shower much longer than that. Just looking up at the stars or the blue sky is so peaceful and I need peace in my life.
Excellent build, Dave. Funny though, I considered several years ago to build an outdoor shower out of wood but the carpenter bees, water beetles, and snakes seem to be drawn to the enclosed wooden structures. I have had issues down by my kennel with existing structures. I still may build one to clean my grungy bod before coming inside the house. Ha some days, I'm more crusty than others. Dave, that deck board will shrink a good 1/8" to 1/4" so I actually butt the boards flush to one another simply b/c of the shrinking. I think you'll be fine. You could always take up some of the boars and make them flush, then place a new board in the gap created from shifting the base boards. Enjoyed a full-watch. Catch you later. Don 👍🏽🤠 10/11/23
I may do that add one in move a couple over. That gap is getting wider. Those wood boring bees love it here as well. I got saw dust everywhere from them drilling holes in anything wooden. Lol
yeah I dont make many videos but I never have made many. the shower has been a distraction. I think I built it 4 times before I was satisfied with it. lol
