I did not understand this second. I had only one squirrel in 1985. My grandfather bought her from a man in the village. She was small, she had hair. We fed it with milk on a bottle with a baby silicone nipple. I've let her out many times in front of the house, he climbing on the trees but he always back in the house. Each morning squirrel is awakened us by licking our lips or nose asking from us to stand up to feed her. She lived with us about 6 months. When she grew up and felt the need to start her life, one morning she gone in the nature and did not return. Beautiful memories.
I question the intelligence of people who think rescuing grey squirrels is a good idea. Why don't you rescue some species whose numbers are in great decline like possums or raccoons or skunks etc etc etc. There are an estimated 2 billion grey squirrels in North America now, genius. Grey squirrels don't need to be rescued.
@@fancythisgirl3 The time you wasted writing this, could have been spent shaving your private parts to look cuter at the beach this summer. It's all about time management.
@@ccdogpark I question the intelligence of a person who'd leave an animal behind that's in need of help, unless it's one of these other critters listed 😶 Whuuuut? Duh
@LAFOLLETTER Nice share, thanks. I too found a baby squirrel 3 years ago. My wife and I bottle fed it and it too grew fast....and active. She would wrestle with my hand too, you could feel her razor sharp teeth but she never bit anyone. She was so sweet and careful and fun. We took her outaide everyday and eventually moved her cage outdoors. She doesnt live out of her cage any more but she still comes by almost daily for almonds and nuts. She is more skittish than she used to be, but will often sit on my knee while I feed her a half an almond at a time. Cutest things, but too busy to live in a house. Especially with a wife who has a delicate orchid collection.
I found a squirrel one time about 15 years ago that was a pinky in the middle of road almost hit it, but stopped my truck and made traffic stop because I seen it move. Everyone said he would not make it because he was a new born. Fed him cow colostrum mixed in esbalac puppy formula and he did great. SIx months forward I tried to transition him to my river property and he was terrified and wanted nothing to do with it. So I let him decide when he wanted to go. He ended up staying with me almost a year and a half before he let me know he was ready to go. He did very well out there and would visit me everytime I came to the property. Then I stopped seeing him after about nine years from his release so I guess he died of old age. I think he lived a good life and made lot's of baby squirrels out there.
Venkata Srikanth and if humans never ate meat, your brain would never have evolved enough to you have put together that sentence. And even if you could, it wouldn’t have mattered, because mankind would not have evolved far enough to have created such technologies.
@@VocalEdgeTV don't talk like know it all, we have done fine eating non meat products. Actually your system becomes more active if you limit meat consumption. What does evolution got to do with this anyway. Sounds like anime logic.
@@venkatasrikanth245 Jesus Christ this is why people hate vegans. you are such insufferable people. You can't help but plug your veganism into a video and comment that had nothing to do with it... seriously you are such a pitiful and toxic lot.
My Identity, I’m a child, I watched this because my brother saved a baby squirrel and set him free and I thought this would be nice to watch, I know some profanity and I hear it all the time but you never know who you are talking to!
My Identity and, YES “MY IDENTITY” THANKS FOR BEING A TOTAL BEACH YES I KEEP MY PROFANITY FROM CHILDREN YES, IM MORE CIVIL THAN YOU ARE THANKS FOR BEING A CRITICIZER!
**He did expose the squirrel to classic literature(**2:30**), which is obviously an important aspect of preparing a wild animal to become independent.**
"ive been transitioning him to the outdoors, we didnt want to domesticate him" also: "get off the table youre not allowed on the table" sooo cute, love it
@@sharoncronin5053 Squirrels claws are rather sharp. It helps them climb on things, mainly wood. So because of that, they tend to cut up the wooden materials.
And he has been feeding him all the different kinds of nuts. And he has been getting lots of exercise. And he comes when I call him. Yes. those are all wilderness survival skills. 🤣🤣🤣
I bursted out laughing when she came down the hill saying she found a baby squirrel 😁️ what are the odds right? Sometimes you gotta wonder about that saying : Everything happens for a reason ⊂(◉‿◉)つ and good job on rescuing the poor little squirrels it makes me happy to know that some people still have a heart in this cold world.
The look on his face when she brought the second squirrel was precious. Then, the look on his face when the other guy told the balloon story was even better. Both were like WTF is going on? Why is God doing this to me and WTF does this balloon have to do with my squirrel. 😂😂😂
Have seen this before..sweet, the way they took care of a helpless baby animal, raised it until grown then sent it off on its own way. "WELL DONE, family."
I laughed so hard when I saw you add the book into the squirrels picnic basket. You have a sweet, dry sense of humor and a heart of gold. I know why you wore that shirt. It doesn't show all the pulled threads from the squirrel climbing on you. God bless you and your family for caring for the critters.
We need more people like you guys, very calm and sweet spirited, finding that other baby squirrel was not a coincidence, things do happen for a reason, keep doing,Thank you......
The squirrel is seriously teabagging and his dad. So funny. but I have to say I'm hooked on squirrel videos recently for some reason. They are interesting Critters when domesticated.
I've saved squirrels on several occasions, the first time I had 2 come up to me flailing their arms separated by like 5 minutes, they trusted me and I found homes for them. The second time I knew what was going on and one was getting attacked and he let me grab him and he was shaking like crazy!
Very nice! THANKS, just priceless (3:18) l0l and hopefully your friend will find his balloon and your blank face oh wow😂, it seriously made my day after a bad day. Wish I would of seen this video before.. Greetings from South Fl 🌴🌞🤣
**He said, "I've been getting him ready for living in the wild, by feeding him all natural wild edibles, such as peanuts". Well, he's NOT going to find any peanuts in the wild, unless you planned on releasing him at Jimmy Carter's old Plains Georgia peanut farm!**
Yo bro! You know you're hilarious with squirrel balls on your shoulder. I can't help but to cry from so much laughter. Squirrel balls on your shoulders is just wrong, lmao! 🏈🏈✌🏾😂
I don't know what's wrong with me, but my favorite part was the balloon story and the reaction, especially your one word comment......"thanks". Too much! I wouldn't have been able to control myself.
Great squirrel rehab guys. Adding a random balloon story in there made this all the more hilarious. I like how your daughter is following in her father's footsteps too. Keep up the great work.
We have four little red squirrels and as long as they are in the "globe" feeders, I can walk up to them, but rarely will they take food out of my hand. Excellent video. God bless you for taking care of His creatures.
As a squirrel lover and rehabber this was so cute. I released many in my backyard. I fed them if they showed up. They hung around few weeks then just gone. I miss having one. Sweetest critters ever. I gotta watch this agn.......hey from Texas
I recently released 2 squirrels myself that I recently rehabilitated. They're doing great and come to visit me couple times a week. They're a lot of work tending to them when they're young that's for sure. Great job rehabbing and releasing him.
Been there and did that. I tried that with my Rocket Pockets but he wasn't having it and kept coming back and I am so glad he did. Once you start taking care of them they get used to it and that's that for sending them back into nature. But you never know he might get used to it after a while. He is so cute and he loves you 🥰 Bless your heart for taking care of him.
So nice guys, I know how it feels to have a squirrel. We are in India n 5 yrs back we found a month old abandoned baby palm squirrel. We fell in love with her n couldn't let go of her. She sleeps with my kids n behaves as if she owns our house. She is going strong n we adore her.she has built a nest in our kitchen n gets the choicest food. Sometimes my kids tell me that I have spoilt him. He is an angel, feel so calm n nice just looking at him.
