Waking up to freezing temperatures and a frozen water hose isn't how I wanted to start my day. But I made the best of my situation like I always do! I got my grocery shopping done and made it to the next campground without other issues. 🙌🏿

Love the video and your positive attitude Tiffany. Two other good ways to wash your fruits and vegetables is to use white vinegar, Add 1 cup of white vinegar and submerge your fruits and vegetables in the water. Let soak for 15 minutes. Drain the water and give the produce a quick rinse. The second fruit and vegetable wash is 1 tsp. of baking soda for every 2 cups of cold water . Make sure to stir water to insure that the baking soda is completely dissolved, then submerge produce in the baking soda water allow it to soak for 10 - 15 min, then rinse well then allow to drain or dry the produce.

You can use paper towel for the bottom of the sandwich bag and then add the salad mix. The paper towel remove the moisture and can last longer

Yes!!! I put paper towels in my bagged salads as well after I have opened them. Definitely keeps the salad fresher longer for sure!!!

I used to dislike handling meat too. Aside from the slimyness and germs, I especially didn't like being reminded of the living animal it once was (meat with bones and skin). Yes, I liked the taste. But eventually I became a vegan. Eating plant based is simple. Yes I get plenty of protein.

Wow Tiffany, you do a lot more sanitizing then I do. I mostly buy it and get it into the fridge and that's it. I do wash fruit and veggies but not until I use them. I soak mine in a bowl with a little vinegar and yes gapes makes that water in that bowl black. It is surprising how much dirt comes off of them then I rinse them good and dry them. It was fun watching you do yours. I'm clean but you are a lot cleaner then me. Guess I am getting lazy in my old age. lol

Back in september here in Alberta we had the same problem over night the temp dropped like a stone. And in the morning we found that our hose was frozen. We did the same thing put in the sun and it defrosted. And yes it was just the hose and not our pipes .

So sorry about the frozen hose. I always screw the hose ends together that way any water stays in the hose. I love your new hair cut, really looks good around your face.. I still repackage all my meat to freeze. Make my hamburger patties, and larger portions for spaghetti etc. Rinse my fruit in vinegar water. Never tried a little dish soap. I see those garden gloves are still being used. Makes me smile every time. Drive safe and as always thanks for the ride. Donna

You can wrap a heat line around your pipes and plug it in it will keep you piped nice and warm

Hi Tiffany. I am so sorry this happened to you. As a suggestion (the pipes for my trailer are outside), you can buy inexpensive insulation for the hose that is easy on easy off. The 12th is almost here!! You will still need your jacket in CA. It has been chilly!!!! I feel so vindicated!! My family makes fun of me for washing my fruits and veggies with soap and water!!

Getting a nice RV would be a dream Come true. I can’t afford it, but hopefully with in the next two years I will. 💕 even a small one. As long as I have a shower and stove I would be happy.

I enjoy your videos. We've always put our produce in a white vinegar bath for between 15 min (for grapes) to 30 min for other fruits. Then rinse. It sanitizes the produce & helps remove the wax they put on apples.

You can insulate your water hose with pool noodles. Just slice them and slip the noodles over your hose. Good luck and stay warm.

You should soak your grapes in a little 1/4 cup or so of white vinegar and water it is a natural cleanser and they taste so much better! You rinse your meat with a little bleach water 😳 never heard of that 😕

This cold front is no joke! We are ready for it to pass, which is coming very soon. Here is Texas it’s going back up to the high 70s. We don’t have pipes to worry about in our van, so we can’t imagine. However good thing your water was ok. Great video Tiffany!

I always feel motivated to be productive whenever I watch your videos. Do you ever feel like sitting around doing nothing? Loved the camera view from the shopping cart coming out of Walmart. My pipes in our 5th wheel froze up back in January here in North Texas. We bought a 5th wheel, gave our 10 room ( very nice home) to our oldest son ( we know he will take good care of our home base) my husband still works for the sane company. I lived my entire life in the blue ridge mountains of West Virginia, Jefferson County West Virginia, 5 miles from Harper's Ferry West Virginia. I lived 40 miles from Washington D.C, Girl go visit Harper's Ferry national park, so much civil war history. My grandfather grew up on John Browns farm . I think you will love Harper's Ferry and Charles Town West Virginia, a quaint very nice Town, my home town girl.

@Tiffany we also have a Travato. My brother is an insurance adjuster, we fill our water tank and NEVER stay connected . Not to the water line or sewer. He has had insurance claims where the RV'S were totaled due to flooding. Water and sewer. Several in the same campground!! We fill the water and empty the blank & grey and disconnect. We only stay plugged into electricity when necessary.

I do the same thing, but I left my hose attached because I showered in the van instead of the campground since I arrived after dark.

You can also use vinegar and baking soda water for the pesticides my son received a new kidney and his drs told him to was all fruits and veggies this way. Be safe Out there especially in Calif when you go s grocery shopping. I have seen in the news people getting robbed for groceries by squatters.

Hello Tiffany been busy myself and thanks for sharing your journey also with just me at home to cook for when i get my meat i cook up the whole package the separate it in small ziploc bags to and put it in the freezer with the date on it so pull it out to add to recipe then it easily for me sometimes i do potatoes to then bag them up to pasta have a safe travel take care stay safe and warm 🌟💜🌟

Don't know if it will work, but maybe try that foam tubular pipe insulation that may help to keep the hose from freezing and also your "pipes" underneath.
