I sure miss the Model Airplane News and Molder builder ...never did try control line flying never knew anybody who did it back in the day Now i fear at 64 its to late for that but i do fly teathered Rc for fun .NO dizziness that way lol Great video
I am 65. With some turning around you are able to handle the dizziness better. Then doing stunts slows the turning. It took me awhile to adapt to turning opposite direction flying inverted.
With an old 09 you are pushing your luck with 50 ft lines as 40 ft much better. A modern 09 glow would be better say Enya 09 or OS 10. Not sure the takeoff area is suitable with vehicles and lamp posts..... don't get dizzy!
I have flown it since then on 42 feet of lines with Pogo engine. There is enough power for inside loops but just barely. I will probably try a more. Powerful engine but it is fun to see that odd Pogo engine running.
@@billkuhl442 Hi Bill, I fly off grass and had a mishap when the plane wandered on takeoff and wound the lines round the prop. Seeing a plane heading inwards out of control is fun! I have a little Enya 09 which is an early one with exhaust on the left, but it is a zippy little beast when run in and hauled a 15 sized trainer well. Over in the UK a good diesel such as a PAW would be equal if not better in the 1.5 cc (09) size.
