This video and the lead up videos have been life savers. To know that others went through the same issues with masseter Botox as I have and to know that you will get better (if you stop injections). I’ve seen massive improvement after wearing the night guard and chewing gum (as someone in comments suggested)
What is the night guard? It’s been 4 months and my jaw is gone everyone asks if I’m sick ☹️☹️ also lost fat in my face as well from the Botox… were u able to recover now??
My under eyes got so weak after Botox was injected under my eyes nine months ago. Immediately got under eye bags and lumps from the fat prolapsing due to the weakened muscle. I am still freaking out. It is such an isolating and terrifying experience . I want to fast forward to a day when I will look like myself again without eye bags!! All I can do is wait, not worry so much, use the Foreo bear, and face yoga and pray 🙏🏼
I’ve seen a lot of negative side effect photos of ultherapy that make me very weary. A lot of photos I’ve seen the patients aged so fast after the treatment. You look lovely as always subbed came from following you on insta for a while❤️
Amanda Ward ultherapy is awful. I was desperate. I am so cautious about recommending it.. I usually don’t. It’s not worth the risk. But it did tighten my skin. Just made me so hollow.
Thank you so much! I am going through a healing journey and your tips, insight and personal experience are proving to be invaluable. I appreciate you immensely! Also, You look wonderful 💝💕🌷
Thanks for great video Amy! I am going through this Botox as well and very terrified. How is your facial shape a few months and a year after ultherapy? I did mine and and now I’m in 4th month of hifu and my facial shape has changed. And my muscle grows back a little bit. Hope to hear from you soon.
how long do you do the thumb under the chin? Like how many minutes a day, how many times a day? Same question for the Refa Carat device. Is the Refa better than NuFace Trinity? Do they do the same thing?
Hey, do you happen to experience temporalis muscle hypertrophy now and tension due to all the units you received in your masseters? If so, how do you cure or help it? I want to receive botox in my temples because I'm experiencing this but I'm nervous that it'll be a reverse effect and I'll have the same issues with my masseters.
I've gone overboard with masseter Botox too but it usually self corrects as other muscle activity returns. My grinding is horrible so at least it wears off rather quickly
This happened to me too -after (one time) Botox treatment in jaw - I hate it ! It ruined my smile and my mid-face has fallen -it’s been 3 months exactly today -ugh I’m hoping it will wear off and go back to normal soon -I’ve been doing micro current and facial yoga as well now to for the last 2 months to try to activate the muscles gosh I hope it will get back to normal -thanks for talking about this -maybe I’ll try the filler?
Rhonda Thornton hearing this makes me so sad and angry! I wish injectors would tell people that this can happen. No one should go through this ugh. So sorry you’re dealing with this. Try filler??
It has happened to me too! One time in September, 24 units per side. How many did you get? It looks awful. It kept getting worse with each week. I prefer the pain from teeth grinding.
Thank you so much! I am going through a healing journey and your tips, insight and experience are proving to be invaluable. I appreciate you immensely! Also, You look wonderful 💝💕🌷
@@ImaDoWatIWant no but a cousin of mine did. I suggest you visit another doctor or look for facial exercises, but be careful not to strain the muscle😉♥️
If your face is chubby you are the worst candidate for masseter botox. My cheeks were chubby too but it made it sag and it made the chubbiness worse! Don't do it
6 weeks? I Hope so! My smile is asymmetric now and I’ve been chewing my food on the side that’s smaller. I’ve been considering bucal fat removal after the Botox wears off. After this experience, I believe the result of Botox is too uncertain.
My face is slim she inserted 25 on each if she had inserted 10 the changes wouldn't have been so drastic but its fine now I did it in Feb its reversing thank god
@@xtesssy build it up every 2 weeks slowly 1 ml per session you may only need 2 sessions I had my cheeks dissolved by accident stupid dr so im rebuilding my cheeks I’ve done 2 sessions and I’ve 1 or 2 more to go I go every 2 weeks it requires a lot of patience and believe it will be better but halfway there and it’s good Just build up filler slowly where it’s hollow it makes a massive diff
Hey so I overdid the facial yoga , so did you also practice it the whole time ? I think I lost a lot of volume and definition in my chin . My chin was so wide and it became tiny and sharp . So wait the Botox or facial yoga ? did your chin also become short and narrow ? Like can that happen ?
Can I just say I watch your video on repeat to give me hope. I had mine done last year in October and didn’t see the damage until 3 months into it. I was shaking every night and in so much depression. I got 15 units each side and I’m hoping by clenching and chewing gum they will come back. I don’t want to get filler etc but thinking of fat transfer instead to fill in the hollows until they grow back. Bless you
@@farrahm3907 hi Farrah, I’ve hit the 6 month mark and honestly it’s been scary at how much volume and muscle I’ve lost. Ive just recently started chewing gum, clenching and doing the chin work out that in this video. I know the Botox has to wear off and then muscle takes time to build up. I can give you an update in about a months time. I’m also planing a fat transfer to the hollows so fingers crossed all goes well. For anyone considering this treatment tread carefully and be certain you know that hollowness and sagging is very real.
@@mariamh7396 Omg I'm sorry that was your experience! I've been told that the results last from 4-6mnths so I am surprised that after 6 months you are still experiencing this! I recently had it done about 3 months ago and am chewing gum non stop but not sure if it really does anything if it hasn't worn off yet. I heard massaging the masseter helps break it down too!
@@farrahm3907 I feel your pain, firstly I think when they say 3to4 months thats the time that it probably remains in your system and then gradually wears off. Sometimes even longer up till 9 months. However it takes time to build it back again. So when they say it goes back to normal I think they forget to mention that it takes time. At the end of the day they say it’s not permanent so it has to wear off and then you can continue your journey like me to get back to how it was. I do think you’ve done the right thing by starting early with thr chewing gum bit from now, I literally started a 3 weeks ago. I have seen a very slight subtle change and that why I’m continuing to clench and do whatever it takes. I’m praying both of us get to a place where this can be behind us. If you want I can give you an update after a month, it would help in giving someone reassurance that we can get it back. If you feel like you need any other questions answered I’m here , as I know I felt so alone during this whole ordeal and assurance really helps. Hope this wasn’t too long and boring 💕💕
@@farrahm3907 also please keep in mind every individual varies in terms of masseter recovery, so you could see great improvements sooner than I did and might not have to wait so long. So don’t be discouraged by my experience. I wish you the best of luck and speedy masseter recovery 🤞 💕💕
Thank you for this. You’re giving me hope when I was feeling like this would never go away🥺. I had Botox injected into my masseter muscle for jaw clenching and teeth grinding as well. It’s been 8months since and just like you I liked my “after” around the 3mo mark, because I was hoping to slim my very round face also. However these last few months I’ve been noticing a prominent double chin that I’ve never had before (even when I was overweight). I’ve been working out and eating healthy and though I haven’t weighed myself I can tell I’ve lost weight. So it just wasn’t making sense because it’s been looking like I’ve gained weight in my face even though it’s till slim. I started looking online once I realized the Botox may be the culprit, only to find others with the same issue. Which was relieving. However I couldn’t find any positive reviews saying it went back to normal and how long it took. Until you :) It’s March rn so in July it’ll be a year since the original injections. And I’m hoping with time and your tips, that I can hopefully go back to looking normal. I used to be able to take Photos from down low w/o any issues. My jaw was defined, high, and sculpted naturally. But since the Botox now, my face looks pudgy as if my jaw blends into my neck. I absolutely hate it and want nothing more than to go back to how I looked before 😣 But thank you for relieving my anxiety 🙏🏽 fingers crossed I’ll go back to normal. And for anyone reading this hoping to have this done, plz tread with caution.
Hi when they injected filler where exactly did they inject it? I find my hollowness more prominent on the sides if my face under mi cheekbone. That area atrophied the most
@@italianlessonsnyc1176 that's God is improving..I'm crying so much! I'm so unhappy..If I could go back in time..😢 Any suggestions for improvement? Please help me
@@vanessablacksmith3200 I am so sorry that you are going through this. How far along are you? At the three month mark I began to chew gum for at least one hour a day and chewed hard ( chew gum on both sides) eat crunchy stuff such as nuts.
@@vanessablacksmith3200 also some people had some success doing the jawzercize, but I have lots of crowns in the back of my mouth, so I could not handle it. It may be different for you.
