The FTN is a true work of art that only becomes more appealing to me over time. I think that it is severely underrated. I'm happy to see that you appreciate it as well.
Thanks for sharing. F3 is great, however...FM2 + MD12 is the full mechanical combo that rocks. Shutter and mirror movement are out of this world. Owned mine for over 30 years already. Still going strong.
Worth clarifying that the first camera there is the L35 AF3 - it has a simpler and less expensive 4 element lens compared to the original L35AF. Still a good camera but definitely not in the same league as the mju or T4. Only the original L35 AF is.
Way to go!!! I too have an N60, 2 FM's and a Nikon F (Photomic). That is it! If I buy another film camera it will probably be a Hasselblad. Thanks for your post.....
Long ago - I mean it - in 1969, I think it was, a friend of mine was driving on I-64 near Richmond, VA, when he saw two cameras sitting on the side of the highway, all by their lonesome. He hit the first exit, then the next exit past the cameras, and stopped to check them out. It was twin Nikkormats, identical model and vintage. Of course these were still newish cameras in 1969. I just remembered that when I saw your Nikomat.
You gotta get an F4. It's insanely heavy, will outlast the known Universe, all buttons and dials but still has matrix metering, autofocus any every other bell and whistle. It weighs a tonne so you can cancel your gym membership. I love my F3 (who wouldn't?) but the F4 is special.
So the N60 is something like me EOS300. Those newer electronic SLRs are a delight. Dirt cheap, readily available, all sorts of lenses available, just, delightful
I GOT THE F4 AND THAT THING IS A BEAST!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TRY THAT OUT, IF YOU HAVEN'T! I LOVE IT SO MUCH, I GOT A BACKUP CAMERA FOR THE BACKUP CAMERA!!!! NICE COLLECTION!
Have an F2 Photomic amazing all mechanical camera. Also picked up a mint F65 similar to your N60 for dirt cheap! Been collecting alot of old Nikon lenses now which i adapt to my Sony
You're such a bad influence for my wallet haha. Just recently picked up a Minolta XE-7 with a Minolta MC Rokkor - PF 58mm f/1.4 from FB Marketplace for $20. I was able to talk the price down to $20 because the lens was broken. Took a crack fixing a lens for the first time and now it's good as new and shoots as it should!
I own a FT2 and OM-1, and to be honest it's the Olympus that feels cheap next to the Nikon! The Nikon feels smoother, sturdier, a little bit better build overall and it fits better in my hands. I also think it looks more classy. The only thing I prefer about the OM-1 is it's absolutely beautiful viewfinder, incredibly large and bright.
The viewfinder being better, in my opinion, was my observation with an OM-1 I tested. That said the FT3 has a Nikon K focusing screen (or the equivalent), which I found to be plenty bright for low light. Especially for the price!
Hello love your videos! I own a nikon N50. I've been holding on to it for years! Once digital cameras came out I stop using and purchase a Nikon D90. I've wanted a smaller camera so I then I purchased a Fuji X-T20, which I absolutely love. BUT, you've sparked my interest for film! Haha! I think I sold the lens that went with my N50. Definitely going to give it a try. I also have a point & shoot Canon PowerShot A3100. I found your channel trying to see what was the best point & shoot cameras, that's how I found your channel. I've got it ready and charged. I plan n to go out and make pictures! Thanks again for sharing your videos! :)
My man! Great video. Just getting into film myself and picked up a Mint Canon AF35M and 4 broken AF35M IIs. How would you compare the Nikon L35AF to the Canon AF35M / AF35M II? I have seen a few L35AFs around Chicago for some good prices. Loving the point and shoot vibes for 2023 🤓 more point and shoot / small camera videos 👊🏽
I think you're collection is great I like to have different cameras and brands i mostly have Kodak and a few fungi Instax but I would love to get one like that first one you mentioned because of size and convenience all of mine are digital cameras but would love to get a 35mm film camera and that first one would be the ticket if I can find one I don't think it would be a problem to but im looking into it because I would want it to be working
I bought and sold a few L35AF iterations, while I can appreciate the lens, I still find it clunky to use. It's consistent price increase has made it a great camera to flip however :)
Got a f3 too that i love, man the pictures that comes out of that camera 👌🏻 although had a bit of a problem with it recently where the shutter wouldnt fire, or at least taking a really long time to fire, when I was out shooting. It was pretty cold i guess but not freezing cold, it should be able to handle that, it was maybe 5 degrees celsius i think. When I came back inside it worked as usual.. anyone know what could be the problem?
current nikon collection is this lot im aiming to get them all Nikon F50 Nikon F55 Nikon F60 Nikon F65 Nikon F70 Nikon F80 Nikon F90x Nikon EM Nikon FG-20 Nikon F301 Nikon F401 Nikon F501 Nikon F601 Nikon F801 Nikon F5 Nikon F4s Nikon F3HP Nikon F2S Nikon F silver FTn finder (1973) Nikon F black eye level prism (1972) Nikkormat EL Nikkormat FT Nikon Pronea S Nikon TW Zoom 35-70
My two N bodies are the N80 and the N8008s. I even though the N8008s is an ugly brick of a camera, I like it better than the N80 as it can take both manual and autofocus lenses. It never lets me down.
I don't understand why I am still subscribed. Total bla bla bla about Nikon cameras. Random pick of whatever feature or property just to say something.
