Not really, their awkward relationship started because they think the brother is selfish

The cause may have something to do with the parents but there seems to be no focus on them at all. Even the father wasn't present.

@@salliembatia3410 agreed. My nephew has similar tastes and he is on the spectrum. He thinks he likes vanilla ice cream only but really he only likes it white, but I got to fool him into trying other ice cream that had the white color before. When I got vanilla ice cream with toppings he either refuses it or removes it because he doesnt like the non white stuff.

samira ahmed I honestly don’t think he’s trying to reach other to his older brother. When people are have so much weight on their shoulders they just give up, hence why I think he’s taking it out on food. Instead of wanting to reach out to his brother, I think he might be pushing him away farther whilst not knowing it and maybe not understanding why he’s doing so. That’s my opinion

It made me think that the older brother was a jerk tbh. The fact that he allows his friends to pick on his brother and not say anything is so messed up in my opinion. And he seems to go out of his way to make the second brother feel left out. He called the second brother selfish and yet he pretends not not k ow his brother in front of his friends all because of something as dumb as "text neck"

This is not an excuse but just a way to understand him. He is in the stage of industry vs inferiority; the need for peer assimilation and acceptance. I feel bad for the 2nd son because he definitely has an inferiority complex :(

I agree. I'm a picky eater, I like eating veggies and fruits but dislike anything with milk/white color,cakes etc and also if I don't like the appearance ,texture , odor I will not eat it. And I think his dream to be a chef is a good choice

Jo Phillips My friends son had problems with eating certain foods and he too was shouted at and bullied, she took him to see dr who sent him to a specialist it turned out he really had a phobia of certain foods..it wasn’t about being picky at all...it would of made him feel very alone that everyone was having a go at him about food, would like to know what his fathers take is on this...

A. J They honestly probably have been, but I think it’s at the point where the 2nd brother has just been bullied so much that he just wants to push away others and take it out on food. I think he needs some serious help because you can tell his confidence is way low.

Same with me I don't feel comfortable with toxic people because they are constantly putting me down so at that point you have really no choice but to cut them off to keep your sanity. Totally understand why he did that.

That's not how typical Asian family works.. It is normal for a mother to care for their children foods.. The kid was like 15 if I'm not mistaken.. With all the homework and school sessions there is no way he have time to prep his own food everyday

Yes, it sounds like autism. Being uncomfortable with slimy foods like sauces...but also a lot more characteristics were described by the older brother that are found by people on the spectrum.

you have to look at the families situation too in a busy household its very difficult and by fixing it means how to cope up and find ways to adjust (solutions ) ik the way they're forcing this on him is bad but adjusting cannot be a permanent solution

@@salliembatia3410 I suspect you are correct with your diagnosis. Having a child myself with autism, all the signs are there from the textual dislikes to only eating a small range of particular foods.

@@salliembatia3410 Yeah it honestly makes me think autism too, I was diagnosed with autism when I was 10 years old and everything about his story really reminds me of myself. I didn't eat a vegetable for 16 years, but if he works with a professional on it, he can start learning to manage things. I can eat some veggies and I'm not as scared to try new foods or talk to people anymore, I really hope the same happens to him.

Oh shut up will you. Just because your family doesn't mean you should be close and be nice. If anyone treats you negatively and is toxic, even if they are family you might as well cut them off. Since if a stranger treats you much better than your own blood I don't think you have a reason to keep them near. It just lowers your self-esteem and makes you feel like you are never wroth it. Saying this from personal experience since I felt so much more better and regained my self-confidence after cutting off toxic family and friends. Life is short so why should you keep toxic family near you for the sake of it. You might as well enjoy the short time you have with people who actually appreciate you.

Anime Lover i know what i’m talking about REALLY good, i’m saying that they’re children /teens and that they shold’ve been taught to love each other the way they are, now it’s kinda late for them to start loving each other and that’s parents mistake for letting that happen. i also cut off my parent and her family out of my life so you don’t really have to teach me about stuff like it. i always say family is not who is connected to you by blood but who you consider a family, so with that your theory about him cutting off toxic people out of his life is okay BUT they are siblings and he probably has hard time living in a same house watching all of them getting along and not accepting him the way he is, and it’s sad to grow up and grow apart from your siblings (i also have that in my family and i kinda get sad and i always tell my brother “let’s always love and respect each other.”)i mean that is 100 % fault in parenting, but you say whatever you want everyone has opinion and that’s okay :)
