While waiting for today’s video I looked back at Day 1 “Daily Woo”! You’ve gone from living/traveling in a van, to owning a beautiful home and traveling first class…not too shabby!
Your comment inspired me to check out year 1 of the Daily Woo. It's amazing how the channel has evolved. I only regret not discovering it sooner. Just awesome!
If you have a few days, the Wisconsin Dells is like I-drive transplanted to the boonies of Wisconsin and worth the effort to drive out there. If you are not there very long but have half a day to kill, the Harley Davidson museum complex is good for a couple of hours even if you don't like motorcycles. We flew into Chicago and drove out to Wisconsin when we went last year. Don't forget to buy squeaky cheese!
My Dad worked at Technicolor right at the bottom of the hill there so we used to go to Universal a lot. Haven't been in years and years! I've never seen this view!!!!!! So cool!!!!! Also, diggin the stache!!!!
Welcome to Milwaukee Adam! Lifelong resident here, I take it you’re here for a Rays game. Take in the tailgating with a grilled brat! In case you’re here for a couple days, a few other recommendations: The Safehouse, a campy spy themed restaurant & bar, right up your alley, it’s better at night. The Bronze Fonz is nearby. Barnacle Bud's, a quirky lunch spot and bar with a key west vibe on the river. The Mitchell Park Domes, an indoor botanical gardens featuring various biomes. The Art Museum, which was a filming location for a Transformers movie. If you ever get the chance, Wisconsin Dells is basically I-Drive with a bunch roadside attraction type stuff but also great tours of the unique rock formations along the WI river. It doesn’t get into full swing until after Memorial Day, but Noah’s Ark there really is the largest water park in the US.
Woo!!! Hello from Disney Springs today! My daughter and I shopped at the Pin store a bit ago and saw orange bird pins and we thought of you! Haha!! Enjoy the rest of your trip! 🤩
Here's my flight nightmare: We were flying to Hawaii (the Big Island; Kona) out of Chicago. After a good 5 hour flight, we landed in Los Angeles to transfer. We got on the new plane but, about 2 hours into our flight, we had to turn around due to a navigation failure. The plane had to burn off fuel, which took another couple hours, and then we had to land in Phoenix for some reason which took us a good hour inland. In total, that turn around took about 5 hours. And flying out of Phoenix to Hawaii/Kona took about 7 hours. So, at the end of the day we were flying for more than 17 hours. When it came time to fill out the customs declaration form I could barely see straight. I had to do it twice.
I’m a FA ✈️…No doubt that was a horrible long day. One time, I had a 16 hour day ended up in Canada and customs left the airport. We had to wait on the airplane for 5 hours due to weather and until, customs came back to get everyone onto the airplane and get us through customs. Luckily, as a FA ✈️ I carry stickers, and chocolates for the kids and sometimes I give them to Adults 😂 and I carry 2 phone chargers and a small portable fan. I pulled everything out of my bag and gave it to the passengers to keep them comfortable and calm.
I knew they were going to have to re-crew. 22:01 - if you ever hear a speech like this, you know you're in trouble. Adam, I appreciate you sharing these truthful travelogues (thinking of your Phoenix trip from last summer and the trip out to LA at the beginning of 2023 as well). Make me feel a lot better in my own times of travel delays and cancellations.
Hi Adam so glad you finally made it to Milwaukee safely and I hope you have a great time out there and I look forward to whatever adventures you have up your sleeves again have fun out there now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Adam and I’ll see you on the next vlog adventure wherever it takes you peace ☮️ out ✌️
Shout out to the pilots and ground staff for doing their best to let everyone know what was happening. It's no fun for them either, although I guess that fill-in pilot's overtime rate would make your eyes water :). I used to fly every week for 7 years and thankfully never had a 6 hour delay. And I think the latest I ever landed was 01:00am. All my buddies used to think I had this glamorous work life travelling all of the time, but when it's work, it's a chore, no matter the destination or the travel class. The only thing that I was thankful for was having access to business lounges. That was a saviour on many a delay.
I know there was bad weather between Denver and Wisc. I follow several storm chasers and they were chasing several bad tornados. Lots of damage left in its path. The 3 chasers I follow always stop chasing and assist in damaged areas where needed. So many times they are first responders. Great guys. Glad you finally got to your destination safely.
I watch Reed Timmer chasing tornados😃 We had tornados hit Nebraska, was minutes from hitting my aunt and uncles house and thank God my daughter was in safe place at college there, the town of Elkhorn was hit tho 😢
@@TraciHilbers I’ve tried watching Reed but I can’t take the screaming he does. I also heard Reed got stuck for quite awhile yesterday. I watch Brandon Copic, Corey Gerkin and Vince Wealti. They help each other and stay in contact with each other thru radios. They were chasing til very late last night and stopped and helped first responders clear damaged areas in I believe it was the town of Sulfer. The tornado they were chasing hit the town very late at night.. They are pretty much the only chasers that stop and help. So many are all out for the most amazing shot. Not all but most.
@@johnp139 uh yea I know that. I never said anything different. But the turbulence definitely could have been the storms. Sheeesh get off your high horse dude
Hey Adam, I’m glad you enjoyed your few days in LA, sorry about your travel day yesterday. Im glad you got there safely in the end - that’s my worst nightmare 🫣. I hope you’re having a great day so far today ♥️ xxx
I totally understand your frustration Adam. Everytime I fly United it's always something. I had two back to back 17 hour delays on two different trips.
🧀 Well at least you made it. I was hoping for better weather today for you to check out Milwaukee but Monday is looking better. Welcome to the Brew City!
Welcome to Milwaukee! Can’t believe one of my fav’s is here in my hometown! 👍 Looking forward to the content through your lens! Btw… That was a crappy delay for sure 🤦♂️
What I love about living in the Dallas area is that between the two major airports, I can get to just about any location in the US nonstop. Hate layovers!
I love to travel, and I have learned to accept flying, something I was not to keen on from watching disaster movies and the Airplane films. That turbulance you hit with you choosing to get that cup of water in the shot. Was A+ and just got me smiling.
I’m not the best flier. But when I’m in a situation like that - a major delay- I’m just so glad to be on the plane - it’s like yippee. All my nerves are gone.
Hello Adam… we always say that everything happens for a reason. Your delay could have been to avoid something chaotic on the way. It’s frustrating, but even with the turbulence, you finally got to where you were going. Hopefully you had time to rest and get some food. 💖🤗🙏🏻
Feel your pain, we were returning from upstate NY to Orlando, layover was in BWI at 6 pm ,delay delay delay, finally took off at 1100 PM when we were to be home ,finally in bed 3AM
This gave me flashbacks when we were trying to get to Knoxville TN from NY LGA airport and got there around 8am in the morning and didn’t fly out until after 11pm. Worst travel experience ever but we got there lol
What an extreme test of patience. 🙄 Good for you for keeping your cool. They should have whipped out the backup plane much sooner. And all that turbulence, I get so scared with the turbulence 😖 oh man... I'm glad you arrived safely at least. I hope you're having a lot of fun today 🤞 I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
As a United Employee I'm sorry for the experience, I would have routed you either through IAH or ORD but anyway next time I see you at a Orlando Toy Show, I'm vendor Propstop, I'll have to give you my card should you experience another long delay like that at least you wouldnt have to stand in a long line to talk to someone.
Welcome to Milwaukee! I know you're here to watch your Rays, but i hope you get to check out some other things while you're here. Get some custard at Kopp's or Leon's. 😋 Enjoy!
Your dedication to the Rays at this point after a weekend sweep of the worst team in baseball is commendable. Hopefully you can bring the good vibes to Milwaukee
Burbank Airport was once part of the Lockheed aircraft factory complex, making planes such as the TWA you saw at the terminal (the classic Constellation). A neat Disney tie-in is that during WW2, the plant was camouflaged to look like a town from the air to protect it from potential enemy air raids. Staff from the local studios, including Disney, pitched in the effort!
So much for puting it out in the universe! 😂😂😂 That Skinny Pop popcorn is a farce! It’s got more calories than most other brands! I actually researched it. I’m a fan of your vids, by the way! Great content! You didn’t say it, so I’ll say it for you . . . “The Vlog Is Over”! ❤❤❤
As a First Class/Business Class Passanger you were due a higher meal allowance that $20 I believe. Plus if the flight was cancelled and they book you on flight the next morning, then the airline should provide accommodation if you are not departing from your home port. I was in this situation once, the shuttle to and from the hotel as well as the accommodation was all paid for by the airline.
Adam... I feel your pain! This past Monday I flew United from Orlando to Denver then to Anchorage, supposed to be a 11 hour total flight. Well, 31 hours later and an unexpected flight from Denver to Chicago then to Anchorage and having my luggage in two different airports at the same time, I finally made it to Anchorage. United is just the worst.....
@20:20 "It's amazing how travel is now, how quickly you can get somewhere..." To quote Homer J: "DOH!" Well, you just gotta chill and go with the flow, there is no point getting angry because that won't change anything but your own blood pressure. Good on those Captains for getting on the P.A. personally. They are in the same boat (plane) as you.
I went through almost exactly the same set of issues in Denver on United at almost the same time on Saturday on my flight to Portland. Flight was two hours late.
I love Wisconsin! Hopefully you got some points for compensation! If you have the time, make a video of the Milwaukee public museum, it’s been ages since I’ve seen it and it’s one of the best museums out there!
They are in the middle of a move from their old location to their new location, so if you can, see the Streets of Old Milwaukee and European Village before they move!
We were in Birmingham Alabama last Aug and showed up for our 7AM flight only to find out Delta had no flight crew and didn't keave till after 6PM we were supposed to have been home by about 2 in thebafternoon at the latest.
Oh, I see my Alice Cooper quote was already taken, very cool. You're gonna make it!! I would say make your dreams come true but I think they already might have. (eh, there's always more dreams) One, two three, four, five six, seven eight, Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated... No, I haven't even watched the video yet. I have never been on a big plane, just two or four seaters. I watch your flight experiences to see what it is like because CA is next year and I'm still a bit nervous.
A six hour delay? Heck that. That's why I'll be taking a direct flight from STL to LA next year. I'm already going to be freaked out, I don't need an additional hassle.
Omg, what a wait! Did that once in 1996 at SFO with a 2-yr old, will never forget it… Should’ve gone home & tried again the next day, but the many 15 minute delays just draw you in…
Welcome to WI! While in Milwaukee, definitely check out a bar/restaurant called Safe House. It’s a spy-themed speakeasy and it’s amazing! Also, be sure to order cheese curds whenever you can, and try Kringle from O&H bakery (mainly in Racine, but they have an Oak Creek location as well). Enjoy!
Do you remember the Fall Guy T.V show with Lee Majors and his Chevy pickup that couldn't be destroyed. One of my favorite actors and T.V show of the 1970s and of course you can't forget Lee Majors a.k.a Steve Austin in the The Six Million Dollar Man. The 1970s and 1980s was the absolute best time of my life. No video games, no cell phones, no RU-vid, just BMX bikes and skateboards. I wish my children could have experienced the life i had in the 70s and 80s. Just so you know, you were the first RU-vid channel I subscribed to and watched back in the day. Take care Brother. Hawk Out!!
We flew into Denver at the beginning of a blizzard. We ended up being delayed for 3 days IN THE AIRPORT! We could not leave because of the snowy blizzard conditions! We ended up sleeping on the seats of the Golf Cart vehicles. What an experience! Not many food options. The bad part is we were only flying to Colorado Springs (25 minutes south!)
WELCOME TO KILWAUKEE!!! So, the actual reason that you were delayed so long, and you got to experience some of that, weather. We had severe weather moving across Iowa and through Wisconsin about the time they kept pushing your flight back. Why that wasn't told to you, who knows. But you've arrived safely and as they say in the airline industry, "Time to spare, go by air."
Ryan Gosling was at the Fall Guy pre show at Waterworld yesterday. That's one unique thing USH has over other theme parks, being the possibility of seeing a celebrity. I've personally seen Vin Diesel and Steven Spielberg walking around the backlot while doing the Studio tour.
Had flight delay last year.....was going from SLC to Austin.....was traveling Delta. We had delay around 5:30 and then canceled an hour later.....next flight was at 11:58pm back to Austin.....I was up all night. I was flown from SLC,to Denver then to Austin .....I got home around 2 pm the next day......
Years ago, I think it was 2010 I ran into Eddie van Halen himself at guitar center in Indianapolis and he even let me play his guitar. I told him I'm from New Castle and he said, "that's where David Lee Roth is from." My mind was completely blown.
USH has nothing on celebrity sightings. Warner Bros tour during peak TV show filming is phenomenal. Also Disney parks are celebrity sighting central without being on a backlot.
