I was watching a video from three years ago about your setup,I hadn’t thought about using my L-12 for my drums ,it is perfect for my setup , I’ve got 5 boards ,one is the old road board for the Rythem Aces which I’m restoring

As someone who constantly switches back and forth between Studio One and Logic (I have committment issues), one of my favorite Studio One features is how easy it is to re-map keyboard shortcuts to match Logic Pro. Game changer.

I use both electric and acoustic drums for practice great studio 😎I believe that fewer gigs and going electric on line is going to better and better for teaching and recording.

Love Studio One! I've been using the Artist version for years and it has been awesome. And my Audiobox 1818VSL (now discontinued) is still going on strong. Dig the channel and what you do Rob 👊🏻

When you showed your old setup with the L-12 it occurred to me that since I have one and 4 other boards why not set it up for my drums and quit overpowering my camera mic

Hi Rob, cool stuff, thx for sharing, question4u: on your tom mics, they seems to be a bit far from the rings, at least for me, by positioning closer, perhaps 1 inch apart, it will increase the proximity effect, therefore, also, increasing more body(less air) into the mix, take a look at Jeff Porcaro, he was always somewhere between 1/2 to 1 inch separation, next to the tom rings, more weight, more body, thicker toms sound, less bleed from the cymbals, just wanted to share that with you, cool stuff Rob, congrats on your Presonus Endorsement!!!

That Iz AWESOME Rob As It Lets Me Know I & Am Going In The Right Direction Too. I Have The Original Alesis Monitor One Studio Monitors & Just Last Week I Picked Up The Presonus Eris Studio Monitors Myself. I Flat Out Love Them As I COULD NOT Believe The Amount Of Bass They Produce. I Have A Subwoofer In My Setup & Lately I've Simply Been Rocking These Bad Boyz Without The Sub!!! GREAT CHOICE!!!

Im a logic user and i tried the presonus studio one for several weeks and i dumped it and went back to logic… We use presonus at church and im not sold on that either… they are a good company but the Midas stuff is what i like… well in the lower to mid range scale. But nice setup! Good luck 🍀

Can we upgrade your foam tiles for some real acoustic treatment like Primacoustic or even a DIY build solution? It will take your drum sound from grate to insane top tier. Edit: I would straight up mail you some, but realistically I can't with you being in Canada where I'm not.

I like many of your tips for drum recordings! I've bought an 8 channel interface but realize now that 12 would've been better for me. The 16R costs around $1300 so that's out of the question. Don't know if I need monitors, but instead focusing on some quality headphones/in-ears.

I'm pretty reluctant to do any kind of mixing tutorials 'cuz I ain't one to overthink things and I'm nowhere near an expert. I just push, drag and click a knob or two 'til it makes me say 'Aww yeah' 😀
