Ovcourse they try to blame you the installer as you’re not qualified suspension specialist who installed them. Like you said you have an invoice and states coiliovers are installed correctly , best of luck look forward to hearing the outcome.
You need to tighten the nut at the top of the coilover. Make sure that it's a pass-through wrench and then keep the center portion for moving while turning the outer nut
Mate this is so bloody relatable, basically the same thing I went through and didn't get any solution. I just ended up taking them off my car completely and went back to stock before I could get a set of proper, quality coilovers. Unfortunately, I fell for the "cheap quality" parts. I've been and will continue to encourage my viewers/subscribers to save for a bit longer and do it once, do it right. Keen to see what you're able to figure out.
A couple questions... The rear endlinks looked fine on install but I am wondering if you made sure there was 0 preload on the front endlinks. You may know this but to eliminate preload looses up the adjustable washers, but load on the wheels and twist the middle adjuster until there is wiggle. Then tighten the washers down. Also, did you get it aligned yet? That could answer some questions.
Hope you find the answer soon! So bloody frustrating! But very much sounds like something in the top hat / pillow ball mount with the noise appearing on rebound as well as compression.
Everything you've done seems fine. I've had my MCA Blues for almost 7 years now just open and installed out of the box as is. makes funny creaking noises on low speed but definitely not clunky. wont name the coilover company you're using but I did have a mate that used the same coilovers and hated them lol. hopefully you get a refund for them... annoying but shit happens lol
Just picked up my GR86 yesterday after 16 months wait. I found shifting into 1st and 2nd gear always making clunking noise every time. Do you have the same experience with your BRZ?
@@SuperJames1412 If you're worried just ask your dealership about it next service. Obviously I can't hear it myself so I can't guarantee there's nothing wrong but a brand new car shouldn't have problems.
It fuckin sucks, Lachie. I know how it feels, as I'm currently in a similar situation with my Tiburon. Knocking/clicking sound coming from the rear and I can't figure out what it is or how to fix it. Cars are pain ❤
