Another great video Billy 👍 I first found your channel when you showed the Eastbound Jack which I bought for my Moto Guzzi V85TT 👍 I now have a 2024 GSA and love it and will get any extra Eastbound tools I will need for the GSA. I have the bead breaker and tyre irons etc and have found Noel there is terrific and always gets me the best freight deal he can to Australia 🇦🇺 👍 keep up the great videos please 🙏 cheers Karl 😊

Hi Billy, best demonstration of the Eastbound kit I have seen. Will be trying mine out for the first time this weekend following your example. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Hi Fastpatjo. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment. Really appreciate that. It’s a great piece of kit. Good luck with it. Fingers crossed you won’t need it. Although good to practice so hope that goes well. Stay safe. Billy.

Hi Billy good kit I use a second lever under my inserted lever to brake the bead But that kit looks good

Cheers Nigel. Surprisingly effective if I am honest. I was a bit skeptical at first as these tyres on the large adventure bikes can be bugger to get off but worked a treat. Hope all well mate. Stay safe. Cheers. Billy

Hi Billy, thanks great video, a hint, no need a kit for breaking the bead, just use the weight of you bike and your sidestand, work great!

The instructions from Eastbound say that when using the bead breaker the first lever to go in is used upside down i.e so that the hook of the lever is facing down and catches the bead of the tyre. You had that lever the wrong way around....
@BillysBikeAdventures
@BillysBikeAdventures 2 года назад
Hi Geoff. Good spot, Either way works. I am not sure that the first lever going in face down would catch the beed at that stage as its not yet broken so can't catch it, either way, it still did the job :-) Thanks for watching. Billy

Hi Billy, I bought both sets for my T7 a couple of months back after watching Sven Olsen review on his channel. They aren't cheap but they are very well made 👍

Hi Craven99. I have both and use them quite a lot as I change my own tyres and take wheels when need and also do a lot of my own bike maintenance so they are a good set to have. Thanks for watching the video and your comment. Stay safe 👍🏼 Billy

@@gbner9991 Hi craven99 I also have both the wheel removal kit and the tyre spoon kit with the bead breaker and bead holding tool. The wheel removal kit gives you everything you need to remove both wheels on the T7 and the tyre levers are very strong and we'll made. If you break the beads and use tyre lube to reseat them before your trip you will find the bead breaker easier to use. After alot of riding the beads stick to the rims and become harder to move to the middle of the rim. Hope this helps mate 👍

Itchy Boots used that kit to change a tire. Great set. Kickstand does a great job breaking the bead but that takes manhandling the bike. The motion pro rim protectors didn't work for me. They don't seem to like the BMW rim design.
@BillysBikeAdventures
@BillysBikeAdventures 3 года назад
Hi mate. Yes I’ve seen the kickstand being used before. As you saw in the vid, the rim protectors were a bit of a challenge to stay on. Thanks for the comments 👍🏼 cheers Billy.

It looks very easy to remove the tire but where is the exhaust?
@BillysBikeAdventures
@BillysBikeAdventures 3 года назад
Very well spotted. I had to remove the exhaust due to it being too wide. The gap between the rear brake callipers and the exhaust was not big enough to get the tire out, so it had to come off. I did record that as a comment but for got to add it in. great observation. Thank you for the question and comment. Cheers Billy.

Pricey. Wondering if worth the cost vs just 2 spoons and a small bead buddy?
@BillysBikeAdventures
@BillysBikeAdventures Год назад
Hi and thanks for watching. May seem that way but a really versatile set that packs down to just two iphone size pouches. Invaluable for me on more than 1 occasion. Cheers Billy
@TheZakkmylde
@TheZakkmylde Год назад
@@BillysBikeAdventures did you mean the size of two iPhones side-by-side? I have no doubt of the versatility and I want to purchase this but I’m just not sure because two spoons is still a lot less it’s terms of size and weight to carry.
@BillysBikeAdventures
@BillysBikeAdventures Год назад
No meant that that each pouch is the same as 1 iPhone so two iPhones for two pouches. Sorry should have made that clear.

Rear wheel bolts set to 16 Nm (5:37) ? Did you not mean 60 Nm

Thanks Mike. I did say 60 . agree it can be interpreted as 16. Will be sure to be clearer. Thanks for the feedback 👍🏼. Stay safe

are we trying to change a tube at the roadside here. better off trying some sealant first to get you to a garage, or just call your breakdown cover because in the real world , or my world , trying to pry tubeless tyres off the rim,my tyres refused to budge so i got a 1 hour workout and half a dozen deep scratches down my rims(not with this kit) .I can understand it if you're off road somwewhere in the boonies ,but again some foam would be an emergency repair. If at home it's off with the wheels and down to the tyre shop. Honestly i don't get it wanting to remove tyres at the roadside , it's a major hassle and life's too short
@BillysBikeAdventures
@BillysBikeAdventures 2 года назад
Hi Rocky. Agree with you view that these tires can be a real pain to get off but from my point of view an important skill to learn to do especially if you are off road and the breakdown services will not come to where you are stuck. Having some sealant is a good tool to have as well. Good suggestion!. Thanks for watching. Cheers Billy

@@BillysBikeAdventures I'm probably thinking of my own trips where I don't venture far off road, so yes i can understand that.
