My top 5, no particular ranking except for # 1: YCID 66 Pontiac GTO in Fontaine Blue. YCID 70 Challenger R/T Vitamin C. I had the black hood stripe added. Acme 71 Challenger Pro-stock, Ramchargers YCID 71 Cuda Tor Red w/ Black billboards. My number one is Acme's Tiganelli Brothers UFO 65 Plymouth Belvedere AWB. They did a beautiful job on this thing. Gold and black paint, totally captures all the bad-assness of this car. I'm up to 18 assorted Altered Wheelbase Plymouths and Dodges now.

All of them are cool, but the Mustang takes it. Gotta appreciate perfectly made car in an eyecatching color. No wonder that Mustangs (both old and new) are so popular. Ford found a goldmine back then and it's still making impact with it. Pontiac, Plymouth, AMC and others have had so many epic, but less known cars and the brands don't exist anymore...😢 The USA car makers have the best and worst history at the same time. How is that even possible? As a muscle car fan I'd love to rewrite it...more Road Runners, less eco freaks... We need Plymouth and all the other badboys back!! We want V8!!

These are all quite nice, though they are mostly revamped/rebadged older diecasts from Highway 61 or Ertl. I think the Global Financial Crises of 2007/2008 changed everything. Few new molds since then. I was thrilled to see the Coronet Super Bee from GMP (was that 2023 or 2022?), but it had its faults. Early 2000s were the best years for diecasts in 1:18 scale. That's my perspective.
