Although I'm more of a Mopar fan, Chevy's are an American Muscle staple and have great designs. As owner of quite a few 1/18 Camaro's I have to admit, MOST are supremely great looking and powerful. And Just like 60's, 70's Camaro's, this Chevelle is definitely no joke! Quite a good looking machine.

Funny I own a '72 Demon 340, but I was actually shopping for a '68 Camaro RS or SS (much easier to find) back then, because I love all american car makers Chevy included. As you know I ended up with the Demon which I don't regret at all since it's exactly how I would have ordered it, if I was a teenager in the early seventies. Plus I always loved it's design. Being born behind the Iron Curtain, I appreciate all US classics. It doesn't matter to me, if it's a Nova, Thunderbolt, Coronet, Ambassador or anything else. I applaud all euro people that have the cojones to own an old US classic here on a continent that's designed for horses and horse carriages. God how I wish we'd have US road infrastructure with wide open highways and millions of parkings everywhere. That being said a Chevelle like this one would be a dream too. This is a legit muscle car. It's got the looks, power, sound, fun factor and a big recognizable name. I loved to see all the cool little details in the interior. Mopar or not, this one is real 💪😎 By the way I finally decided to buy a '72 Dodge Demon model!! It's the one from Auto World 1:18 in Gold Metallic. Not only it's a 340, but this one is Mr. Norms GSS Demon, which is obviously even more rare than my already rare '72 Demon 340. Sadly enough I've found it for sale only in the USA, so they're shipping it right now from Indiana to Europe and that's pretty expensive, but what can I do? I've found Demon models before, but that was only 1971 and it has wrong bumper and fenders from a Duster? Lazy work for sure. I checked the pics online and I really like this new edition of the '72 Demon GSS, everything looks great and I also love the gold metallic on it. When it arrives and it's not broken it's gonna be a pretty cool decoration for my place. Finally...I'll own a model of my car 😍 I also ordered from Germany a toy car from playmobil, which is a german toy company and it's a Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole with the Magnum, P.I. license. There's also a palm free, a few accessories like binoculars and 4 figures of Thomas Magnum, T.C., Rick and of course Higgins. (read with british dialect lol) "Extraordinery." Pretty cool to be honest. Another thing I ordered from Germany is a World War 2 dive bomber called (read in German lol) Junkers 87 Stuka from COBI. Also a toy basically, but it's my favorite aeroplane ever!! What a desing!! That's just impossible to beat. The most cool looking airplane of all times. Bad guys, good guys doesn't matter. Next model I have is from ixo model - a '74 Opel Manta GT/E (1:43) - I always have had a soft spot for Opel Manta and this one is in black with the orange/yellow stripes. See the Opel car brand was basically the only chance to see an "american" car back in the socialist days. General Motors worked together with Opel for many decades and it was amazing for little me to very rarely sometimes see cars such as Opel Admiral, Kapitän, Diplomat, Commodore or the legendary Manta, when foreigners from the West visited the Eastern Block in these magnificent German/American Opel cars with REAL engines and american design and luxuries. They also send me a catalogue and an extra paper where there is another '74 Opel Manta GT/E (this time yellow with black hood and stripes) and it's a 1:43 model with some kind of Advent Calendar from company called FRANZIS and the stand the cars is on can do "original Opel Manta engine sound". The price is lowered from 64,95€ to 19,95€ and I am really trying to hold back, but I already know that I'm gonna buy it 😅 By the way have you seen the GTA6 trailer!? I am a LIFELONG GTA series fan. I played the first one in the nineties and never looked back. Like any other game even GTA is not perfect, especially GTA ONLINE, but going back to Vice City is a feeling I can't even describe. Being a huge fan of MIAMI VICE and of the eighties in general, I already know that cruising around an extremely good copy of Miami and Everglades is going to bring a lot of memories back. The beauty of GTA is not in the violence or car chases which are always fun, but in the pure, good, old cruising on neon soaked streets into the sunset while Running with the Night 🦩 from Lionel Richie plays on the radio. Now Rockstar Games need to put a well made copy of a '72 Dodge Demon 340 into the game and I am all set. I know, Declasse Tampa exists since GTA4, but it's not a well made copy, especially compared to the quality of cars they made the last couple of years. Man...if GTA6 comes out and it's gonna work and all, I'll be the happiest gamer ever. Rockstar Games create the best and most believeable worlds and Miami/Florida is just perfect for an open world crime game. Hopefully they'll add a copy of Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica or even maybe a part of Colombia and Venezuela in a huge update later, that would be so awesome!! The trailer showed a Mercury Cougar which is a new car for GTA and the GTA6 artwork has a Ford Ranchero GT, which was already in the leak last year. Can't wait what other old american rides gonna end up in the full game!!

I wouldn't have regretted the Demon either!! 😍 And agree, this one is definitely legit! I also got that 72 in gold! It looks sweet. Engine looks cool too. It's an older mold but I appreciate that AW at least took time to modify the front end! Glad you are getting one!! Dang, seems you are going to get lots of "Christmas" presents this year! Opels are definitely cool looking, very nice designs. And just saw the trailer yesterday. Haven't played GTA in YEARS!! BUT vice city was the last one I played so it will definitely be interesting the jump in quality and gameplay after all these years. We'll see what they offer, it's still a few years away it seems. Thank you for watching and for your cool comments as always! 🔥💪💪

Awesome car. I got this one in a cherry red. I want to say one of autoworld best models. This was like the third car I picked up when I started collecting. Awesome.

What's your favorite? I think I might prefer 69 and 70.

Maisto does them so much better. Great video, thank you. You just saved me 260 dollars. 😁

Hello. I don't think Maisto does a 1/18 Chevelle or at least I haven't seen one. Also, PRETTY SURE, Maisto level of detail is lower based on the Maisto's I have. But one thing is clear, I would NEVER EVER pay $260 for an AutoWorld/Ertl unless it is a very limited Ertl Authentics release!

Front wheels are way out of line on this model looking directly at it from the the front end. Like those old Hot Wheel cars from the late 60s, early 70s used to get back then.

The quality of performance has dropped significantly in comparison with 2015 : chrome is slipping , there is a lot of debris under the varnish, uneven body gaps.😢 I have the same chevelle.

😔 The reuse of molds that are super old is probably the culprit plus lower QA (assumption on my part). Good looking? Yes! But definitely not perfect. Which color/variant do you own? Thanks for watching!
