We had hoped to fly to the second day of the Heveningham Hall Fly In but the weather was not kind to us. Being a Sunday we could not take off before 10am and by then it was raining. We did wait for this to pass through and managed a local flight in the gap between rain belts. We were very disappointed as we think the event there is one of the best annual Fly Ins which we attend.
I am not a qualified flying instructor nor do I ever claim to be a very good pilot. I fly for fun and basically record for my own interest and review but upload because a number of people suggested that I should. I do try to edit for enjoyment and story telling and this means that some content is not always included.

It is a privilege to fly, Tim, as it is a privilege to watch your videos. Keep 'em coming 👌👍

Thank you for the support. I am going through a spell of ‘lesser’ videos for a number of reasons but they are actually harder to work on! 😊

A cracking Saturday morning with Angus enjoying your latest episode, had to field a ton of questions around what a trim does, and the difference between your aircraft and the Cub I was flying in the states. Think we might have him hooked LOL

Thank you. Always nice when they take an interest in something. More of the trimmer next time.

Returning to base after a pootle and trim snag was much wiser than trying to go where the rain clearly was. It was a nice relaxed fly around this time. The time taken to produce these videos is much appreciated. I hope the exraction area of the reservoir is well signposted or else there'd be a mini "Bemuda Traingle" of things & people going missing.

We knew the weather window was going to be very tight but wanted to use what we had. I think the extraction area is well know to the sailing club.

Three test completed SATIS and then a new task to deal with, just when you think you have it sorted, these aircraft need more attention than a lot of ladies.

Your absence coincided with an incident at pebmarsh which was a concern

That week was a bad one for aviation accidents. I appreciate you feelings of concern.

Hi Tim, what's the max tailwind for take off down the hill and similarly the max tail wind for landing up the hill. I'm trying to get a feel for limits for flying from Dinan where I'm now based (similar hill but 800m on tarmac)
@JodelFlyer
@JodelFlyer 9 месяцев назад
The hill does make a big difference to performance but I do tend to think twice if it is greater than 20 kts.

For years I advocate not to wear those look-out limiting devices (base ball caps) in any cockpit. Also the button on top can damage the canopy in sudden turbulence
@JodelFlyer

I am short and the canopy is fairly high so the cap button does not cause me a problem. Thanks for watching.
