Here's what I bought at Walmart on clearance yesterday (Saturday, February 8, 2020). It's all food and I'm showing you how you can hopefully find the deals too. Good luck and I hope it helps!
Great job, Susan. You help so many people, and are so generous in sharing your knowledge. I think you would have made a super school-teacher. It's pretty much what you do here! Thanks so much.
Thanks Theresa, I always appreciate it when other folks post videos showing ways to save money so I try to do the same whenever I can. I hope you've been doing well.
@@imstillworkin It may be just in your area that the better deals are at the Markets (Or it could be the one that I work at that doesn't have as many deals.. and the people that do the mark downs know that I want to know all the deals). However I must admit we had the 25¢/pound Turkeys the day after Thanksgiving, and The day after Christmas we had .99¢/pound Spiral Cut Hams. Perhaps I need to start going in on my day off and just start scanning things on the shelves to find the secret deals lol.
Thanks, to clarify, i didn't find better deals at the markets, just more of them. For example, some Walmart supercenters would only have about five items marked down on the baking aisle wheras the markets would have about fifteen. You would think that all of the walmarts would try to get rid of stuff at the same time but for some reason some of them just keep hanging on.
Thank you! You are amazing ⚘ You continue to find wonderful ways to do things (like save $$ by finding sales) and then, you share your findings with us!! Love watching you....😊😊😊
I down loaded the Brave App. And was totally confused on how to work it. So, i just deleted it. Sounds like a great App. If you know how to maneuver around it.
But how do you know which item of all the tens of thousands of items to start scanning for the super low deals? Like when you go in to the store where do you even begin? Or do you do all your research on the app before you go to the store?
You can find out a lot by researching at home. Brickseek is a great resource but like everything in life, you'll get out of it what you put into it. For example, with their free service I was able to search their "deals" and I kept searching with every word I could think of that might be a product that I would use. That's how I found the turkey and pecan pie. The problem with that method is that by the time an item is "trending" as a deal, a lot of folks have already bought it and it gets harder to find. Not impossible, but harder. If you pay Brickseek, they will let you know when the markdowns happen. That way, you are ahead of the crowd. Of course, the more you pay, the more information they will give you. Bobby paid the $9.99 to see if it was worth it and I easily found other deals because Brickseek gave me 75 recent markdowns by store. If you buy a lot of stuff, I would say it's worth it. That's $9.99 per month by the way. For $29.99 per month they will tell you about even more deals but that seems a bit steep to me for the average person. I'm not advertising for them, just sharing what I know. You can also learn a lot by watching videos of other bargain hunters. That's very time consuming though and nearly impossible for folks in rural ares with crappy internet service. That's why I try to keep my videos as brief as possible. You can also find deals by just going to the store and focusing on finding clearance items. Right now the baking aisle is a great place to look.
Thank you. My kids are set for brownies for the year. That was the only thing not sold out around here in Sheboygan WI area and no mugs on sale. No turkeys at the 3 walmarts.
A store that I went to on Saturday night was completely wiped out of the clearance items. They obviously restock them because tonight they had some of them. You might want to try one of your stores again early in the morning.
Yes I noticed that too. I am going to go early in the morning. The only shelves that werent wiped out was the back of the bottom shelf which looked empty. I had my 12 year old with me and he crawled underneath and found a whole bunch if brownies. He was very excited with the find. Weird moon outside tonight by the way.
i was looking again today in the bake section and now noticed that the kodiak cakes pancake mix is now down to dollar for the reg buttermilk kind instead of over 4
That's funny because yesterday we tried Kodiak's chocolate chip muffins in a cup. We thought they tasted more like pancakes than muffins and ended up eating them with pancake syrup. Lol.
Holy goodness i knew i loved you when you said you had the cinnamon roll dessert for breakfast and added syrup to a muffin-i had the brownie one lol. Anyways, just binged watched a couple of your videos now it looks like me and the little ones will be making homemade doughnuts tomorrow. Ive tried and failed before but think we can do it. Exciting! Thanks for your videos!
My phone shows 3 Walmart apps, which one am I supposed to download? Second question, I guess I am really out of the loop, as I don’t even know what a Market Store is? Are you saying that the regular Walmart’s are called Market Stores and have more sales than the Super Centers? Embarrassing... sorry.
I use the Walmart app that says Walmart, com. A Walmart market (Walmart Neighborhood Market) is a grocery store. They only sell groceries in them. Don't feel bad if you've never heard of them, we don't have any of those within 60 miles of us. When we bargain shop, we make a road trip out of it and stop at lots of stores.
imstillworkin Thanks so much Susan. I guess we live in even a more deprived area than I thought! Lol, as we do not have the Markets around here. Sort of odd as we have a huge distribution center not far away. Thanks again!
Good prices no doubt, even better than albertsons or safeway 50 off clearance on items near end date... check out the channel flavcity, lots of good info for food
Shop on a budget, but really, do not eat anything I saw listed as cheap.... learn how to buy 'things that you can see, like carrots, grains' .... forget this stuff
