2 weeks upon returning from my trip to Rythmia Life Advancement Centre, Costa Rica for a week of healing, using the plant medicine Ayahuasca, here is my experience.

I find it interesting that insurance pays for psychiatrists to fill out a form, and dispense pills, and for therapy , where you talk about stuff , looping around forever, and maybe crying, but doesn’t pay for a week at Rythmia. I hope in the future this changes, as the plant medicine will get more done in 4 days than therapy or drugs will do in a lifetime.

Intentions are all well and good until the ceremony really gets going and you just get in a different world... Interesting report thank you. Anyone doing Ayahuasca without PROPER guidance is taking a really stupid risk. This is no joke.

Rythmia is in Costa RIca. It used to be part of the Marriott hotel complex. Their shamans are super trained and super experienced. They brew their own medicine, and this is super important because the prayers and the cleanliness (spiritually) of the preparer goes INTO the brew. Being supervised by ones who are aware of spirits and energies is SUPER important. Also, having people who know how to handle stuff that comes up is super important as well. ALWAYS have a trained, and person on the path of healing and enlightenment, as your shamanic staff. Never shortchange on this.... NEVER.

Just sit there to contemplate it all after you come back because you're gonna see such crazy and radical things in these trips. That when you come back you're gonna be like what the fuck was that? And you're gonna spend a week just in the shower, what the fuck was that? Cooking your food, what the fuck was that? Driving to work, what the fuck was that? Sitting at work doing your work, what the fuck was that? Thinking that. Trying to wrap your mind around it. Try to remember and trying to figure it out and that's a very valuable process.

The ayahuasca can show u this but the universe can too. That's my journey and it's difficult too understand it's language so I'm gonna use Ayahuasca as a tool soon to decide it's messages. Always know you are a beautiful soul & your watched after 😉

It’s not that bad ! You should have it on your bucket list of things to do and don’t be scared. It’s worth it! You feel so much love and peace when it’s all done.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’ve been looking into this and feeling like it’s something I have to do. One thing I’d like to ask and I hope you or someone else that has gone through this can answer is, since people are purging (vomiting) and some having diarrhea, do you smell the odors? I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and bad odors really bother me. I think I would throw up just smelling someone else’s vomit or poop. This is a serious question and I ask with the utmost respect because that is the one thing I don’t think I could handle.

Thank you for sharing :) Can you explain more about the ceremonies? Is everyone taking it at the same time? Is everyone laying down? How long does the experience take etc.

yes all at same time but with 60+ people there's some variation. They advise you lay down to get the most of the experience by reducing sensory/visual distractions from the communication with mother aya. Experience takes anywhere from 4-6 hours usually, if you drink more it extends a few hours each time generally.

I agree! And you dont have to pay between $3,000 -$5,000 for a week, plus ceremonies there are charged extra. Unbelievable

@@harry356 usually at all these villages have facilitators ( males & females helpers). I have not heard of any of the tribes not having them. They are English speaking people learning from the Shamans about the herbs, prayers and everything in between.

Way way too expensive paying 650 dollars to 700 dollars a day which ends up 4800 or 5000 dollars for a week, plus you have to pay for your own travel ... totaling into 6000-7000 dollars for a weeks experience. It seems like a very nice place, but Costa Rica is not Paris in terms of real estate.. it should not cost that much per day. If you have no noticed there is economic uncertainty going on after covid and you really should come up with more affordable plans

rythmia is too expensive , influencers get it for free.. for the rest is 5000 dollars without travel expensese for a week. too much.

two questions whether this ritual is contrary to religion? I am Christian Orthodox, is that contrary, because you also mention shaman? second:why go to such a painful experience (vomiting and scare to deat)to come to some conclusions that you could probably get through treatments with a psychologist or e.g. reading the bible? Except it may be faster and more intense. (But it doesn't mean that the feeling will hold you forever) So I ask why approach something like that and not try to come through in the way I wrote? I can think of it and try it only if it cures me to an illness for which medicine has no cure, some physical illness, which is why I can imagine myself tormenting. But all the conclusions of the people who tried it are the same ones you get with a psychologist or reading a bible. So I do not understand why to choose such a troublesome way. I understand that is amazing in same way but still it is painful in physical way...why...

What normally takes 10 years or more to heal from a psychologist, Ayahuasca can heal with a few ceremonies. But the experience is different for everyone.

Personally, I think it's a bad idea to get involved with companies who market a spiritual experience like it's a holiday on a resort. How can you learn humility if all you want is pampering and colonics? If they put money before anything else, the ayahuasca obviously hasn't worked for them yet.
