Light saber colors Blue: primarily combative Jedi who build blue lightsabers are more focused on dueling than meditation and peaceful ways. Green: more in touch with the force itself and not much for battle. Red: Sith and Dark Jedi Yellow: Guard tasked with protection of Jedi facilities like the Jedi Temple and Archives. Purple: simply because Sam Jackson wanted purple but it now means one who walks the line between light and dark.

Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, is my girlfriend's favorite SW prequel film...since you wanted to know how Anakin becomes Darth Vader and how the Galactic Empire came into being (who The Emperor truly is) y'all gonna be in for a treat because episode III answers all those questions & more...I personally enjoy all 6 of George Lucas' Star Wars film saga. Before (and if) you get into the Disney Star Wars movies and Disney SW TV series, which is totally up to you (which a lot of long time die hard SW fans have renounced, disowned and some even consider as non-canon in their eyes...I personally quit all things Disney SW after 'Episode VIII: The Last Jedi' movie when they totally disrespected Luke Skywalker in my opinion)....Gegore Lucas did write and produce two made-for-TV family films in the mid 80s with the Ewoks (taking place after Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi timeline), 'Caravan Of Courage: An Ewok Adventure (in 1984) and Ewoks: The Battle For Endor (in 1985) - both of which Warwick Davis reprises his role as Wicket the Ewok (the one who helped Princess Leia). I enjoyed them for the entertainment that they were (just don't expect any Jedis though because it focuses more on just the Ewoks and their tribes adventure quests). And George Lucas wrote and produced the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie & much of the animated Clone Wars TV series (which takes place in between episodes II & III movies) before he sold SW to Disney in 2012 (...which he now regrets selling since how Disney, Bob Iger CEO & Kathleen Kennedy treated him and his franchise). The Clone Wars animated movie & the supplement Clone Wars animated series is very good and still worth watching. So enjoy in whatever direction you decide to endeavor. Peace.

I love your reactions! Star Wars is so rich in detail and complexity, you continue to find clues to the story the more you watch it. I don't know if it's apparent on your first watching, because it only became apparent to me after multiple viewings of this movie. Jango is not really Boba's father. Jango volunteered the DNA that was used to create the clone army, so all of the soldiers look like him. Jango's only payment for his donation, was for a clone for himself that he could raise as his son. So essentially, he is raising a copy of himself. I don't think that it's all that important to the story, it's just an interesting plot point. Except he did raise and train another Bounty Hunter that could take over for him after he died. Jango's death by Mace Windu was also important to the story because it cemented hate for the jedi into Boba's mind and explains why he became obsessed with them. I started to write something about Owen Lars Sr. but I decided it was a little bit of a spoiler, so I cancelled my comment.

That was a great reaction! Thank you! For the next one (Revenge Of The Sith), just make sure you’ll have some tissues at hand - all the girls and ladies I saw reacting to it needed those. For me, it is not a particular episode that is my favorite, but a specific line … I’m sure you remember I revealed that after you watched “Return Of The Jedi”, which has my most favorite line of all the movies I watched in my entire life - “I am a Jedi, like my father before me”. When you’ll get to ep.7 (The Force Awakens), some awesome surprises are waiting for you there. Looking forward to your next reaction. Salutations from Romania …

I am enjoying your Star Wars reactions so much! Back when Attack of the Clones was released, I actually knew too much about the movie beforehand. The novelization, the comic book adaptation and the soundtrack were available within a week of the film's debut. The only genuine disappointment I had was the majority of Padmé's character development scenes had either been cut or shortened. George Lucas would later express his regret over deleting the sequence in which Padmé visits her family. As originally filmed, C-3PO was still in his unfinished state last seen in The Phantom Menace. While Anakin searched for his mother, Padmé finished Threepio's look with spare droid parts. This prompted Owen Lars to gift the droid to her, thus explaining why Threepio departs Tatooine aboard Padmé's ship. The C-3PO action figure was even released with spare parts so that you could put him together yourself. This all changed during the extensive reshoots, with Obi-Wan and Jango Fett's battle in the asteroid field and Anakin and Padmé's adventure in the droid factory being late additions.

I love the fight between Dooku and Yoda so much. Also, the 3 beasties sent in to kill Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padmé are a reek (the rhino-looking one), an aklay (the one that looks like a praying mantis) and a nexu (the tiger-looking one). Fun fact: Samuel L. Jackson asked the producers if his character could have a purple lightsaber, so he could find himself easily during the Battle of Geonosis in the sea of blue and green lightsabers....and because it's his favorite color. (Mine too, honestly)

So, I read the novelizations before I saw the prequels, and there's a scene in The Phantom Menace's novelization which makes what happens with the Tusken Raiders hit even harder. Essentially, as a child, Anakin came across a Tusken out in the desert one night, who had been trapped by a landslide. He stayed with the raider through the night, and was there in the morning when another group of raiders came to pick him up. There was a moment of deep respect there. And then for the Tusken to be responsible for his mother's death... just... you can understand the whiplash behind his rage a bit better. I will say that I do understand a lot of the backlash (at the time) over the prequels. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't part of it. A lot of it, I feel, comes down to the acting and direction. I don't want to be too harsh on the actors, but they just didn't have the best performances brought out of them, in my opinion. I will say that there is a good story to be had through the prequels, but people were dissatisfied with how it was presented in the movies. The novelizations captured a lot more of the emotional weight of the story to be had. Still, you've got to understand that for sixteen years, all that the Star Wars community had were the novels. Mind you, none of them were... truly recognized as canon by Lucas, but ever since the Return of the Jedi, it had been... something of the wild west when it came to the stories that people could tell within this universe, and there were a LOT of amazing stories. I really loved the X-Wing books and the Dark Force Rising trilogy. So, the prequels were... kind of whiplash for what the community had come to love about Star Wars at the time. On top of that... there were a lot of people who were disappointed with Anakin's portrayal throughout. Yes, you do get his arc, but... what we got from Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christensen... it was hard to take them as the person who would become the most feared enforcer for The Empire.

Star Wars: Clone Wars(2003-2005) microseries directed by Genndy Tartakovsky(Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab, etc) is fantastic, first season is 99% action but the second is really good and ends directly at the start of Episode 3. Still the best version of General Grievous. Star Wars: The Clone Wars(2008-2020) is spectacular... assuming you skip all the bad episodes. It has uneven quality and took a while to hit its stride but when it's good it's some of the best Star Wars we've ever gotten and does a great job building Anakin and Obi Wan's friendship while building up to Anakin's inevitable fall in episode 3. The way I watched it for the first time and the way I recommend other watch it is to find a list of the episodes in chronological order and a list of skippable filler episodes. That way you get the story in a comprehensible order and a overall better distribution of quality. Cause honestly if you start with the movie and then go season 1 episode 1, you're going to have a lot of bad before it gets good.

Jedi Lightsaber colors and meaning: Blue= Jedi Guardian - They focus more on their lightsaber combat forms than their force abilities. Green= Jedi Consular - They focus more on their force powers and diplomatic skills. These Jedi are still skilled in a lightsaber but tend to lean on the mental aspects of the force. Yellow= Jedi Sentinal - These Jedi focus both on lightsaber combat and their force abilities. Not many Jedi have yellow sabers. The most known users to have them are The Jedi Temple Guards. They guard the temple as it’s basic security. And they wear armor that covers their identity. Purple= - These Jedi have an affinity with both the light and dark side of the force. They study both aspects. They understand their dark aspects and have a fascination for the dark side. But won’t be tempted by it. Red and Blue= Purple? Get it? Lol These Jedi are pretty rare too. Mace Windu uses the lightsaber combat form, Vaapad. It allows the wielder to channel their inner darkness into a duel and basically know their opponents’ rage and fury. Red= Sith Lord - The ancient archenemy of the Jedi Order. Every Sith Lord has this color lightsaber. It shows their undying loyalty to the dark side of the force. And there can only be two Sith Lords. A master and an apprentice. This rule was created like 1000 years before the prequel trilogy even happened when the Sith had great numbers, an entire army and were an actual threat to the Jedi. Every force user, Jedi or Sith build their own lightsabers during their training. A “kyber crystal” is a small rare force imbued crystal that powers their sabers. There’s no such thing as a red kyber crystal. Sith apprentices sort of “bleed” their crystal which they corrupt by pouring negative emotions into it. Cool stuff.

Well, the Sith had great numbers prior to the Rule of Two. It was created by the only survivor of the Jedi-Sith War, Darth Bane. The Jedi almost completely wiped them out, which is why the Sith want revenge on the Jedi in the movies. And the Sith bided their time for 1000 years.

@BlueDebut
@BlueDebut 4 месяца назад
@@Sandlund93 I played the Old Republic games and it shocked me how numerous the Sith were but seeing all the infighting with the Sith some 3500 years before the movies makes the rule of 2 make sense. Bane wanted to keep the infighting out of it and have a clear lineage keeping the backstabbing to a minimum and making a clear path for the Sith to follow.
@Sandlund93
@Sandlund93 4 месяца назад
@@BlueDebut Indeed, Bane decreased the amount of cases of backstabbing per time unit. But in terms of percentage, it probably went up drastically! The apprentice was more or less expected to backstab his or her master during the Rule of Two. So the backstabbing was basically 50% lol. That has to be way higher than during the Old Republic. I have no idea why I even thought about it like that, maybe because it is "ironic".

Awwww, you guy's make me smile heaps !! Watching Katie digest & compute all the ramifications is just a hoot !! I'm glad yr enjoying the Star Wars ride so much Yeah I have to agree..., I look back & think why the heck did the Prequels get so much bad vibes from the fans at the time. The fact that Ahmed Best, voice Actor for Jar Jar was contemplating suicide over all the hate, shows the effect of the Fans that were consumed by the 'dark side' . I personally always loved Jar Jar, & I hated that his roles in Ep II & III were downgraded because of all the Fans reaction / hate for the character after Ep 1. Looking back.., besides Gollum in Lord of the Rings, is there another Digital character in a Live action movie that holds up as well as Jar Jar, or is as memorable ? I'm so glad that the Millennial's love the Jar Jar Character, & Ahmed Best has been vindicated ! 🥰 I was so pleased to see Ahmed Best cast as : Jedi Kelleran Beq in the Mandalorian, playing his crucial part, which I will not spoil in this comment 🤩

As others have commented Blue sabers: Generally, these are Jedi more versed in using their combat abilities and their lightsaber Green sabers: Generally, these Jedi are more versed in using the Force While some say the green saber users are more "diplomatic", I wouldn't say this is the case. The Jedi are researchers, guardians, historians, diplomats, and warriors (but not soldiers. As mentioned in this movie, they're not an army and while large in number, they're not large enough of an organization to be dealing with disputes in every part of the galaxy...an average citizen on a planet in the galaxy is unlikely to ever see a Jedi). Some are better at certain fields than others, but ultimately their saber color doesn't pigeonhole them into that role. A blue saber user can still be a great diplomat...a green saber user can still be a great fighter, etc al. I wouldn't put one above the other...there are green saber users who would mop the floor against their more combat focused peers and vice versa. Plus, they're not required to use one or another...Luke ultimately changes from blue to green (though this is after losing his original saber...and since I don't know if you've watched 4 - 6, I won't say more about the original saber).
