"The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am" is one of the best introductions to a character that I've ever heard.

I am a Jedi like my father before me… chills But the one that gets me is the musical motif when Vader dies… it’s a repeat of the first bars of The Imperial Death March but played at a higher octave on a piano with a different time signature. It plays the feels

Chewbacca uses a Bowcaster. It sort of looks like a crossbow. I suppose it is a type of blaster, but designed, created, and used almost exclusively by Wookies.

The Star Wars prequel trilogy will tell and show the story of how Anakin SkyWalker became Darth Vader. They will also introduce you to Luke and Leia’s mother.

The "return of the Jedi" can be referring to Luke, as you said in the video, or to Anakin Skywalker leaving the Dark Side and 'returning' when we see his Force ghost in the end. ⚔

Ewoks are cute af, but I'd rather hug Chewbacca (granted he's in a good mood). I also can't help but cheer when Leia chokes out Jabba with that chain. Side notes: 1. The creature that killed that Twi'lek (green woman with tentacles/tails on her head) slave and almost kills Luke inside that pit in Jabba's palace is called a rancor. 2.The scene at the Sarlacc pit was shot in my home state of Arizona in the middle of the Yuma desert, while the scenes on the forest moon of Endor were shot in the Redwood Forest of California.

I was eight the first time I saw this movie. I’m 30 now, and this is still my favourite Star Wars movie. Seeing Luke show off his power and skill at the start, learning Leia is his twin, the whole third act with the space battle and Luke saving his father and his father saving him. I still tear up when Vader says Luke already saved him, and I want to jump up and cheer when Lando escapes the Death Star explosion at the last second. I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH!!!

I’m so glad you enjoyed the Original Trilogy, and I can’t wait for you to see the Prequel Trilogy! To me, there was always good in Anakin. He just had to find a reason to return to it, and he did for Luke and Leia. That’s why his redemption arc is one of my favorite moments as well as seeing a redeemed Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Yoda being proud how far Luke and Leia came. Fun fact: Luke’s lightsaber for this film was originally blue, but it was changed to be more visible on screen at the Sarlaac Pit. Also that the purposes of Luke wearing full black was to allude the audience of his possible turn to the Dark Side of the Force. Only after does he resist and is saved by a redeemed Anakin that we see that little pop of white on his clothes representing him staying loyal to the Light Side of the Force. #MayTheForceBeWithYou 🌌🛸⚔️💥💚❤️‍🩹🤍🖤

Now that You completed the original trilogy You might step back for a moment and give Yourself a time to digest it. In the 16 years the world waitet for part 1 to 3 (1983 - 1999) there was a nice little film released called "Spaceballs" (1987). It's a Star Wars-Spoof made by Mel Brooks, and it is totally worth watching it.

The original Star Wars is the best! I personally love episodes 1-6. The entire arc is perfectly told.

The title Return Of The Jedi is not because of Luke. He wasn’t a Jedi yet, he had to comfront Vader to become a Jedi. The title of Return of The Jedi is because of Anakin(Darth Vader). Is Anakin returning to his Jedi esence, to his true self, to the light side.

Thanks for your reaction. I don't know if you plan to watch the prequels, so I won't spoil things for you. All your remaining questions will be answered in episodes 1-2-3. (Luke & Leia's mom, who are Vader & the emperor, and so on). I won't say more in case you decide to do the prequels. Some people love them and some people hate them. I liked them bcs they give most of the backstory on many questions not answered in the OT. I guess you'll like them too, just because they will answer many of your remaining question. Take note that they were made in the early 2000's so they look newer, but the story happens 20-30 years before the OT, so some characters are not there yet, others are younger (Obi & Yoda are still active). "Sounds like they would make this into a ride." They did. The Original _Star Tours_ was based on space flights, the speeder chase on Endor, and Luke's original shot of blowing up the first Death Star from the 4th movie.

Hayden deserves that spot. im old school and saw the originals as a child. But Hayden was amazing and he should be there.

There are 2 more trilogies of this saga, which is such a great saga it earned itself a worldwide celebration day, which is May 4th, that is May the fourth - like in “May the Force (be with you)”. I suggest you keep watching … I’m sure you won’t regret. Just follow the story itself. In episodes 1, 2 and 3 (also called the prequels), you’ll learn the whole story of Darth Vader … and in episode 7 (The Force Awakens), you’ll have some awesome surprises waiting for you, which I wont spoil anything about right now. This movie was the first time that Boba Fett was mentioned by name.

Lucas was a good, but little known director. When he signed with Fox to make Star Wars, the contract was not exactly generous. I believe the contract was for 20 years (regarding Star Wars) and any future movies he optioned would see the bulk of the profit go to Fox. Since the Star Wars movies are like a license to print money, he waited until he renegotiated the contract before making more films. As a consequence he didn't make any Star Wars Films for 20 years, which I think was a colossal waste of time. Worse still, by the time 20 years had passed he lost all his original (and brilliant) crew, and instead he surrounded himself with yes-men and the movie quality suffered a lot as the cost. Chronologically: the first series was done for the love, the second series was done for the love, but more for the money, and the third series was done entirely for the money. Once Disney got the rights, they made 6 movies in six years. One was okay, one was great, and the other 4 were utter crap. When I saw episodes 1-3 I thought they were pretty bland, but when I saw episode 7, I realized episodes 1-3 were brilliant. I am still waiting on Disney to release episodes 8-9.

23:49. The background was just filmed by walking in the forest and then projecting the accelerated footage on a blue screen. The effect is amazing l, it really gives the feeling of speed. The effect still hold up today because except the special edition additions, it’s all practical effects

I was 13 Years Old in 1977 when I saw Star Wars and 16 Years old in 1980 when I saw the Empire Strikes bac. I was 19 Years old in 1983 when I saw Return of the Jedi in the Movie Theatre. Everyone Gasped when it was revealed that Leia was Lukes's sister. Anakin Skywalker was the Jedi that returned. Luke hinted at it when he told the Emperor I am a Jedi like my father before me. in the original release Darth Vader does not say no before he turns on the Emperor. Everyone Cheered in the movie theatre. The original force Ghost for Anakin was the older actor who played Darth Vader. It was an exciting time growing up and seeing Star Wars in the Movie theatre. We had to wait Three years between each of the Original Trilogy movies.

In the end, I found peace and freedom

What they did with Anakin/Vader was so much more interesting than just keeping Vader as a regular villain.

Well originally when the movie was released in 1983, Anakin’s force ghost appearance during the scene of the heroes celebrating with the Ewoks after the end of the empire was made by Sebastian Shaw. Although later in a re-edit in 2004, after Hayden Christensen had made his appearance in the Prequel Trilogy. Sebastian Shaw was replaced by him in this particular scene!!!!

Yeah the Sith (evil Jedi) really aren't given much backstory in the OG trilogy. Force Lightning was first introduced in this movie and basically became a staple power of the Darkside from then on, and Dark Side degradation is a thing but Vader looks like that for other reasons you'll see when you watch the prequels

It's interesting because the force ghost scene at the end of RotJ seems to show that it's impossible for people that use the dark side of the force to become part of the force after death. The reason I say that is because Darth Vader was an old dark side Sith before he was turned back to the light side. But his force ghost shows what he looked like as a young Jedi before he turned to the dark side. Also, it's a great example of the different force powers both the light and the dark side are able to use. Dark side has force lightning, etc.

Oh and I noticed you keep referring to Vader as Darth. Remember “Darth” is a title not a name” for example (Darth Maul, Darth Sidious, Darth Plagus, Darth Vader, etc.

If you go OT first and Prequels after, then I think it is better to watch the original edit, where the force ghost in the end is not Hayden Christensen. Because someone will see him and say "Oh I guess this young actor who I have never seen before, I guess he is Luke's father but younger". Or even better watch the prequels first, let the new viewer love the character with the appearance of Hayden Christensen, follow his arc and then 3 movies later, when so much has happened in between, he sees Hayden Christensen again as a ghost and it hits different because it takes the viewer 3 movies back, to the past of the prequels and emotionally it hits him/her hard.

It is too bad Disney didn't restore the originals or make the available. Lucas went back in and updated the films and it ruined them in my opinion. Star Wars was 1977 and Jedi was 83.

"When his dead was a Jedi"... Well, Anakin in Episodes 1-3 never was a Jedi. He was still an apprentice when he turned to the Dark Side. There are so many lore flaws in the prequels that I never loved those movies. For me, Star Wars is one trilogy. If you loved Star Wars, you would love the Indian Box Office hit "Baahubali". Guarantee.

What if Vader does NOT reveal himself to Luke in ESB because he doesn't know? They meet again in ROTJ, where we find out that Palpatine has let slip that Luke is his son and he has a sister. Luke is brought to the Emperor. Vader and Luke duel, and Vader claims he knows Luke has a sister who he can turn to the dark side if Luke doesn't join him. They fight, Vader goes down, and Palps starts throwing Force-Lightning. Luke is screaming for Obi-Wan to help him, to no avail. Vader has flashbacks of the people in his life and realizes Palpatine somehow took them away from him. Vader yeets Palps into a reactor. With the dying Vader in his arms, Luke asks him, "Why did you save me?" "Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father." "He told me you killed him." "No, Luke. I am your father."(I changed the line to give everyone a Mandela effect) Luke knows it's true. Vader asks Luke to take off his helmet and so forth until he dies.
