because he wrapped him the same time the ball was thrown but then took him down after the ball was in someone else's hands running down the field. If you are an NFL player and are unable to tell by the movement of the field that the ball is in someone elses hands, then you either need to quit because CTE is setting in or you're gonna be a famous for being a huge draft bust in a few months.

Rudolph definitely was in the wrong, and started the fight. But the big issue isn't that they were taking the helmets off, it's that one player used a helmet as a weapon on a unprotected players head. Personally I think they should both be suspended.

I just don't know why he couldn't appreciate a late hit and throw down tackle and being held down and then having his helmet ripped off to be beaten with it... and then getting blind side knocked down by another Brown... on the heels of an earlier play when his receiver and he were delivered helmet to helmet hits on the same play and his receiver was knocked out with a concussion and knocked out of the game. I just don't know why he doesn't understand it from Cleveland's point of view (well, not all of Cleveland; Mayfield and the coach both apologized). And, I just don't understand why anyone would worry about getting CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) from multiple concussions...
Everyone seems to be using the excuse that Mason appears to be trying to take Garrett’s helmet off. I would try anything too to get someone off of me who had given me a late hit and stayed on top of me. Doubt Mason would have beat Garrett with his own helmet though. Why Garrett was trying to be a big shot with that hit on a QB with no ball on two score game that was almost over I do not know. I do know the “but he started it” rhetoric is not only already exhausted but wrong. The bottom line is nothing was done to Garrett that could injure him but Jesus, you could kill someone with what he did.
