I would say the mindset that someone has to "prove" their sexuality is a detrimental side effect of Coming Out culture. People have become so used to people making a spectacle when they come out and now they almost feel like they're entitled to know someone's sexuality. I'm a bi lady who is attracted to men way more often then to women but that doesn't make me any less bisexual. No one should feel like they have to prove anything, especially their sexuality.
