Mysterious Ghosting, and Picky Eaters 

My husband knew the moment he pulled out of my driveway on our first date that he wanted to see me again. He text one min down the road, "I had a great time and already miss you" We got married a year later and still going strong 6 years down the road.

I'm with Adrienne and Loni on this, if someone has you doubting yourself and overthinking things that much that's a red flag you shouldn't date them. One of the biggest lessons I ever learnt was if someone truly cares about you they'll make an effort to be with you. When I was single and dating I experienced something similar once where a guy didn't 'ghost' me as such but he definitely played games with my feelings. His personality would turn from warm to cold and I never knew where I stood with him. Where as when I met my husband I knew instantly he wanted to be with me because he's shown that since day one. A man who loves you without hesitation is the best kind of love to find in life. No game playing. Don't fall for someone who won't be there to catch you.

I'm sorry if James "met someone literally right before her" and really wanted to see where things were going to go with this other person and he "really isn't into the multiple dating thing" WHY DID HE EVEN GO OUT ON A DATE WITH HER IN THE FIRST PLACE!? If he wanted to focus his energies on this other relationship he should have respectfully declined the date with her. Then she wouldn't be left hurt or confused..no time wasted..no worrying..no harm or foul. And in the end she would have respected him for his honesty (true honesty). Not having a date and all the while he was probably thinking about this other person then five days later after she was in agony over him not calling then taking the cowards way out and sending a TEXT telling the truth. No...after that he owed her a phone call...voice to voice. What is wrong with people?!

Ghosting has been trash since FOREVER !!! I can't stand people that will literally just stop all communication ONCE they have got back to someone ! I think he was respectful enough to at-least let her know... was it late ? YES ! As someone who's worked at a few different restaurants and in different positions, while I understand the horror stories of servers or cooks spitting in your food, I have never seen it happen. And I worked in restaurants for years. Even when a cook or server is super irritated with a customer who's being rude or beyond picky and KEEPS sending their food back, I've only ever seen a cook or server throw plates around or talk bad about the customers behind their backs and warn other servers about how terrible a certain customer is... Spitting or doing something bad to people's food is just not tolerated at an actual restaurant... Idk what happens in fast food places but in a legit restaurant, people are there to make money and do their job right and there are cameras and plenty of other servers and managers working and watching everything that's happening, managers are often "on the line" checking plates before they go out or sometimes even back with the cooks and in prep area, so spitting in someones food really just doesn't happen. Not enough for you to feel like you can't politely let your server know something isn't made the way you'd like. They aren't the one's cooking it so they don't take it personally, they are just making sure YOU are happy so they can get their tip. and cooks just wanna do their job too.

overall, its a date. you date till you find you someone you really connect and want to be with. when someone wants to commit to a person, they will. im sure he liked her and they had much in common but maybe the “spark” wasnt there on his end. i would of been like, “thanks good luck” and moved on. i also wouldnt of had waited 5 days for a reply, i would of been dating around still. i dont put all my eggs in one basket.

My husband texted me and asked me out first, I was hesitant cause I wanted to be single for awhile but I went on a date with him and started messaging with him a lot and we wanted to be with each other, we dated for 4 years and are now newly weds, if a guy or girl wants to be with you, they will show and tell you.

When I first started dating my now husband he made me very angry like a week or two in (it was a cultural misunderstanding but I originally perceived it as something incredibly rude). So by the end of the night I insulted him and left with the anticipation of never seeing him again. When I got home he texted me to see if I got home safe and then asked if I wanted to join him on an outing with his friends. Y’all if a man likes you, he likes you. No matter if the date was good or bad, you can tell if you like a person. (I did also apologize for hurting his feelings)

I'm happy for this. I'm waiting for a new tv, and those little 4 minute snippets of the real were starting to irk me. 💙

Sometimes it's easier said than done Ms. Adrienne, letting the guy know thanks for giving me the heads up, because you could've really liked the person, and really had a heart for them. They’re on a dating site which means there is usually more than one person that they’re talking to. Everyone is going to be an option. That’s what the site is for. He probably really liked her but likes this other lady more. There’s really no reason to be mad at this man. It was ONE date. What he did was very considerate even if it took a few days. It’s not like it was months later. He just needed time to think. If I liked this guy and things don’t end up working with the other girl & I’m not dating anyone else, I wouldn’t mind giving it another try

This is why you tell your waiter or waitress what you want specifically and USUALLY they will comply but sometimes they will compromise and try to take something off your tab if they get it wrong ! Plus be NICE ! Don't be sassy or nappy or else they could have an attitude ! I appreciate Jeannie's input on this since she's worked in that area before

I absolutely love the fact that Miss Mae (sp) keeps repeating the things about being a server because 10 plus years serving I know how to treat the server I know how to show the server that I appreciate them I also know how to do it the opposite way as the customer... Few years back one of my coworkers got so upset with me because they gave me a table that had a newborn like maybe a couple days old like they were on their way home from the hospital finally getting discharged and just wanted to grab something to eat and I worked at Denny's in Yakima and the guy just looked frustrated like he was paying more attention to the phone rather than his woman or his child which I get it if he's bragging about the baby but still and the mom was just trying to figure out how to cut her chicken on her salad... Okay from beginning to end when they first got there they just both looked exhausted so I sat them in a far corner of the closed section of the restaurant because I knew that everything was cool cuz I was the closing server so if anybody was going to complain about the baby all the way over in the corner or the couple that randomly sat over yonder when they didn't tell them they could sit there I would be able to say well it's my stuff I have to clean up they just had a baby leave them alone I also had a 15-year-old and I was also 6 months pregnant so I totally understand the concept of OMG can we just get food and breathe and she was telling me about her C-section which I have been through c-sections three now and so I completely understood and she kept trying to cough and lean and hold stomach at the same time as well as nursing the baby so she got done nursing the baby I served her food I asked her if she would like me to cut her chicken or if she since I had a few minutes would like me to burp the child for her cuz and then I patted my tummy and I said don't worry I'm expecting to you and I am a mama and I don't have far to go LOL I kind of need this paycheck because I only have a couple months left until I pop so if you need a couple minutes to situate or whatever I can help out it gives me baby fever anyway and she looked at me and she said really are you sure you're not busy and I said girl I have all the time in the world it's 1:00 I have until 6:00 and I have all my stock done and there's only two other customers other than you I'm good so I held her baby I burped her and I gave her some pointers because she did say that it was her first child and that she was dealing with c-section scar and stuff like that and I said well anytime you need help hun feel free to hit me up on my Facebook page and I showed her my Facebook and then I said and if nothing else if you guys are ever in the area feel free if it's slow enough if it doesn't look busy feel free to stop in I work this day to this day I ended up getting a $50 tip from a $13 salad because for one I helped her out with her child when she was trying to get her man's attention and for two at the end when she said you better give her a good tip because did you see all the work she did just to help me out as I was walking up to her and I said oh you have lovely eyes glad I can see them by the way beautiful child daddy number two I said oh by the way I'm daddy number one obviously and I joked around enough to where she joked around enough with him and she just smiled that him and she seemed giddy and he said oh my gosh I don't know how you did it I've been messaging people this whole time as we're sitting here eating asking what do I do how do I help I'm afraid to drop it and somehow you just made my woman smile three different times and helped her out and I'm still stuck and I said dude go with the flow and don't drop it that's all you have to worry about just don't drop it it's not a football. And up until I move to Spokane about 5 years ago they were for 3 years including up until the day I went into labor and they gave me another big tip for my great customer service I guess they got me a crib well a bassinet for my child for a tip as well as a bring home baby gift and I had nothing cuz I was trying to make it on my own they were my permanent customers sometimes she came in by herself with the baby sometimes he came in every time they tipped very well they would order maybe a $10 to $20 ticket meal sometimes most of the time actually they would share like a big salad and then have a small entree that they each split never more than $20 but always left me 20 to 40 dollar tip and my coworkers hated me because no matter what even if they said that I was on break or I wasn't quite clocked in yet those customers specifically would say now we'll wait for her thank you hun so no matter what even if it's wrong I'm always willing to take one for the team I would rather have somebody tell me that something is wrong or that I swapped something for something else that they're not supposed to have rather than have them get hurt sick be allergic to or not be happy because every smiling customer every happy customer whether male or female every time is always a great temper and a return customer I think the only other time I ever noticed that I kind of got only a few cents on a tip I had fixed the customer's problem and then I gave them my meal discount because they realized that they had left their debit card at home and only had $10 to pay for a $20 meal they came back the next day and handed me a 50 and said thank you hun and just walked out the door and that was actually a group that was recommended by the people with the newborn baby so right there I had three months worth of return customers and no matter what at least with those two tables I always had $100 minimum tips and anybody who works at Denny's nose you're lucky if you make maybe 120 bucks... So I would give anything to fix somebody's order and make them return customer rather than have anything happen that would make them deter from ever coming back especially when they ask for me again sorry it's long-winded but I love customer service and I love my serving and gosh I miss serving
