THIS COULD BE ONE OF THE MOST MYSTERIOUS ISLANDS IN TAWI-TAWI AND THE PHILIPPINES!
Mapun is home to different lakes, all of which have their own unique mystery, beauty, and potentially danger to them! In this video, we explore two of them! One is a crocodile infested lake... which of course we don't get to near too. The murky greenery certainly hides the crocodiles well. It would be dangerous to swim, as one person was killed many years ago. But, the second lake... it was all good (at least according to our local friends). The mysterious turquoise green and little fish that would bite your feet... it made for one unique swimming experience! Moreover, the powerful limestone cliffs that open up to the third lake (which we shall explore in the future) are just beyond beautiful!
Mapun really is a majestic island... one that is home to an amazing community of people. Aside from our lake exploration, in this video, we also welcome the Philippine Air Force, who happened to have a special visit while we were on the island. Our friend happens to be an air force reserve.

I was born in this island paradise and never came back for nearly four fecades now. The three lakes stretch out in perfect alignment, each one a mirror of the sky, reflecting clouds and sunlight with crystal clarity. Between them, thin strips of land or rocky banks create a natural boundary, yet they seem connected, flowing into one another like steps in nature's grand design. Surrounding them, a lush backdrop of trees frames the scene, adding to the serenity and timelessness of the view.

That is indeed a Blackhawk and glad to see that the PAF upgraded from the Vietnam era Huey's but no idea if they also use the US AIR FORCE's equivalent to the US ARMY Blackhawk, which is the Pave Hawk. The US NAVY also have their own equivalent which is the Seahawk. Those lakes are straight out of Jurassic Park, so otherworldly!

In Tawi-Tawi is a pork free zone were they had fish on sail 🐟🐟🐟🐠🐠🐠 And they even had a sticky rice cake that has peanuts on it like a peanut brittle 🍙🥜🥜🥜 And they fill the sticky rice with coconut and meat which is chicken I would guess 🫔🫔🥥🍗 And the guy on the military was a bisaya from Cagayan De Oro in Carmen. And there is a lake in Tawi-Tawi that was formed by a volcano 🌋🌋 And they even had a bun that looked like a siopao with coconut in brown sugar and peanuts on it like a peanut brittle 🍙🍙🥜🥜🥜🥥 And it looks like it is there local siopao 🍙🥥🥜🥜🥜 And they even had a wrap that looked like a fresh lumpia it is called daro and has bukayo in it which is a grated coconut in brown sugar 🫔🥥🍶 And they even deliver Jollibee and Dunkin Donuts in Tawi-Tawi 🍚🍗🍩

got emotional when you say thank you for your service. honestly in the philippines, they dont say thank you to the men in uniforms. USA and CANADA always say gratitude to men in uniforms sad but facts.
