Bihar ka urban legend... Aagar kisi road tunnel ke andar se jaate hue, tumhe raat mein tunnel ke diwar par laal kuchh dikhai dey, toh kripaya krke darr matt jaiye, wo khoon nhi, gutkha aur paan masala bhi ho sakta hein

I am currently living in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. But my home town is Siwan. I have heard many many stories and incidents related with pandubbi. Many of my family members had encountered them in a nearby river. Once when my mother was 7-8 years old. She went to the other side of the river with her uncles and aunts to the fields. Everyone was busy in doing their work and she was playing in the water suddenly something started pulling her in the water. She knew about Pandubbi so she started crying and shouting "pandubbi pandubbi". My Grandfather went there and hit the pandubbi with a Kudal the water was shallow so somehow my mother survived. Note: My mother never saw any pandubbi but she had felt it. Many other children had died there in that river.

As a bihari I know his story when I was kid but I think it was a local story but seeing this video I came to know that this urban legend famous in all over the Bihar

My Nani was from Bihar ,never got a chance to talk to her as she died when I was 2.5 years old .But she narrated a similar story to my mom and then my mom told me the story. It was quite scary to hear it as a child and I still remember it. The story was related to kolkata and was very very similar to this story. Actually the example you showed about aquaphobia, the man on hospital bed trying to drink water but he can't is not aquaphobia. It's HYDROPHOBIA. Which happens when a person gets rabies and that man had rabies. In rabies human's throat gets swelling. Hydrophobia and aquaphobia are completely different although they are both related to water. Aquaphobia is fear of water bodies, whereas hydrophobia is fear of drinking any liquid substance because it's very painful to swallow with swelling in throat.

In my village, they are called BUDHUA. I have listened so many stories from my Dadi. The labour who made my home in village was killed by PANDUBBA. Well, I'm from a small district from UP, named DEORIA. 😊

I'm originally from siwan(bihar) Once my father told me a story about pandubba........he was young around 13 or 14 years old.......and it was a season sugarcane so he and his frnds went to place where there was alot of sugarcane but the owner of the sugarcane came and they ran away and my father accidentally went near a river which we call sona nadi.........it was actually 7pm or 8pm but he didn't came home so everyone in the village started looking for him and when an uncle go somewhere around that nadi he saw my father sitting with an old man and when that uncle screamed and said kon hai.......then that old man jumped into river..........but alot of people told me that if anyone couldn't reach there on time that old man might have taken my father and jumped into the river and had killed my father

I am from Bihar. My dadi ma is actually a great story teller specially for horror stories. And this story about pandubba is the most heard story from her. It's actually very scary. But when all of us cousins sit together and listen to her horror experiences it's very fun!!

I am really sorry to point that out but as a medical student I had this thing inside me I couldn't stop myself from doing so.... 1:33 that's not actual hydrophobia, it's the last stage of rabies with 100% fatal rate. Any person suffering from this cannot eat or drink anything because their neck muscles or esophageal muscles sort of stretch and join together... it cause extreme pain if they try to drink water. This legend is true..i am from bihar, my grandmother used to tell me the story and real incidents of people with Pandubba...the way of killing people by Pandubba that you said, my grandmother used to say same...she would say that peope who get killed by Pandubba also become Pandubba..she used to call them Pandubba bhoot

My whole family belong from jharkhand(once it was a part of bihar) and bihar My nani always narrate these stories regarding pandubbas and buras(ghosts found in water or souls of people who died due to drowning) and she advices us to stay away from big water bodies And i also believe in these stories

My great grandfather once told my grandmother about the pandubba incident when he was crossing the river during flood in eve and someone hold his leg under the water and tried to pull him, he was just about to drown but after like 5 min of struggling and my grandparents help he freed ,I dont know what is the truth but this story was told by my granny many times!

I have thalassophobia... And the way you say things and the video clips of water .. scared me.. it gives me anxity.... I feel like... My breath got stuck... I can never go to the river or sea or near by ponds... I really got scared of that..but no one understands...they say.. how can someone get scared of this things... So abt 3 decades ago.. In our own toll (colony) in my village, there was this family with a couple nd they had 2 sons..their home was just across this large pond, one day this family held a puja in their home nd invited everyone ( including my family nd all).. And they made kheer for prasad.. After everyone left, their own sons ate the prasad nd for washing hands their 9yo son went to the pond at around 9-10 o clock at night ( there used to be no electricity).. And the elder one was keeping an eye on him from their main gate.. After washing his hands as he turned towards his home, someone called his name.. He turned back nd then a hand from under the water gripped his leg nd pulled him inside.. The kid started screaming loudly.. The elder brother (12-13yo) called for his parents.. Everyone in the village woke up nd went towards the pond with their laterns nd sticks.. But they found nothing not even the little one's body.. P.s - the elder brother is now a married man.. Nd this incident is very famous not only in our village but in other villages also.. Also, it is said that the one's who die by drowning or ki**ed by pandubis also become pandubi..

Bro this thing is known in Uttarakhand also. In pahadi we call it “पानी का छल.” Our ancestors and many people have witnessed that.

i feel like this is a very popular urban legend of india but it is scary too it is of the bhangarh fort more well-known urban legend, Bhangar's Empress Ratnavati is blamed for bringing about the terrible events that befell the fort. An evil sorcerer in the area was infatuated with her as she was stunningly gorgeous and once attempted to bewitch the cosmetic she was meant to apply. The suspicious princess discovered the dark magician's plan and stopped it by pouring the enchanted cosmetic on a huge rock, which was then meant to have crushed the "Tantrik" to death. Shortly before he passed away, the magician cast a spell on the whole region, ensuring that no one would ever again be able to call it home in peace. Since then, the area surrounding Bhangarh Fort has seemed unsettlingly eerie. I would love to see a video on this❤❤

My mother is from Rajendranagar Bihar She used to tell me the incidents of panddubi that happened in her village in 80s my response was always it’s something psychological and sometimes people take benefit of it As soon as I saw the title I informed as she was like ab believe hua😂😂 and I am like naahhhh psychological hoga kuch

Story of "pandubba" is very true specially in Bihar. Our grandparents always say us to not go near river specially in night time. In morning, we don't have any fear, but in night no one have power to go near river 💀 Any person who die in river by drowning they become "pandubba" and then they kill other person too...

i really love your all videos and i thought of sharing story from my state also. so basically this is not a story but a type of legend u can say. i am from himachal and this story is about this one day that comes every year on 15-16 september. In local language it is known as vans dugaans. according to local people on this day a fight or war between all gods of himachal and all witches. This fight happens in a valley of mandi district (i cannot remember the exact place in mandi). so on this day local people in mandi do not go out and make some protection around their houses ( the thing that is made of lemon and leaves ). people do not keep a foot outside after 5 pm. According to priests if gods win then there will be something bad happening in future. if witches win then there will no problem and everyone will be happy. 2-3 days after this fight ends priests tells us who wins. so basically this is the story and its true because literally every person in himachal known about this. (sorry if there is any mistake as english is not my first language). well thanks for reading my story.

In Japan they called Kappa. It is not a ghost, it's a creature. I also hear many stories about that creature from my family members, And they also mentioned that he is scared from shiny things like big knife or something same.

As a bihari I have also heard panduba stories from my mother, till now I use to think it's something like a octopus 🐙 but with some extra powers 😅😅, well I live here in Haryana 😅so actually I'm not too scared from it, One thing my mum also told that they like taboco so if you are near water bodies they will come in human form and request for taboco and if you give them taboco ,it will catch you and drag you into the water, suffocates you into water, and when you are dead it will leave you, and will go back to water 💧

I'm from Patna , Bihar and my house is 100-200 meters away from Ganga river .. I use to go for walk with my friends on the side of Ganga river at 8-10 for 🚬 sometimes and I will tell you how pandubas look like ... There's a naked 14-15 year child came sand on his whole body , ask for khyani "ayy bhai khyani hau" sounds like someone speaking with their nose and when my freind say no then he change the accent abuse us like a 30 year man .. we were shocked and angry then on of my freind beated him 2 -3 punch slap and the child making sound like a dog like when we beat any animal ... And his voice was loud then in just 1 minutes or some seconds 4-5 kid like him naked started coming from river side running towards us .. one of my friend shouted it's panduba and we'll ran from there and never have the courage to go at night on ganga ghat

Oh brother..i have thalasophobia and the way you described it,actually gave me shivers. Im not very panicky,i mean im good at composing myself .but thats up until a certain limit only.. And the problem is no one understands how scary it feels..for people who are afraid of dark or failing etc, its the same as that. Even worse off in some cases because its the fear of unknown for us as well

My mother once told me about Panduba.when She was around 10-11 years,she visited Chhapra for the first time .At that time , women used to get water by some nearby ponds .as usual days,they went to get water and to take bath in the ponds ,and my mother also went with them . When some women were taking baths, suddenly one of them was pulled inside the water , because of fear all of them got out of the water . A lot of people tried to find her but failed, then they reported this to cops but they also couldn't find that woman not even her dead body.

Hamare yaha marthi log khet kue se paani bharte time paani me girne ke cases badh gae the ,there was a rumour ke raat ke andhere me people were dragged in wells by "chakwa" or "chalawa" who asks ki "pani piyoge" ha bola to dubake maar deta aur na bola to choke kar deta , lt is also said that wo kisi relative ya friend ke form me ata hai aur agar tum man lo ki wo tumhara hi relative hai to tum gae. Wo relative banke tumhe bhut durr tak kisi na kisi bahane se ghumata hai taki tum thako to tum khud hi usse paani mango , kaha jata hai ki usse bachne ke liye tumhe ye kehna hota hai ki itna ghuma rahe ho chalawa to nhi ho Maine apne sapne me chalawa dekha tha aur ys poochne ke bawjood usne mujhe duba ke mara tha 😅
