I made some factory patches for MYTH, Dawesome's new multitimbral synthesizer. I apologize for the noisy mic. It's already pretty hot here in Florida so I had the AC on full blast.
Resynthesizing samples as digital oscillators followed by being able to dive deep into the samples using synthesis based transformers + trad-modulation + filters & efx is absolutely brilliant! 🤯 Great set of patches as well 🤌 Can't wait to pick this up!
You've made some of the most beautiful, atmospheric patches for Myth. Great work and so in tune with the name! I'm new to Myth. What I'd love to see is a breakdown of a patch or two, to see how you got there. It's so satisfying to make your own. Would that be possible if there's more requests along the same line? Take care.
Huh, so no analog synth emulation? Oh well. JUST JOKING!!! it's plugin Developers like Dawsome who offer actual real invoation and the means to be creative. I need not anymore Junos and Arp2600s and Oberhiemlich maneuvers. I need more Abysses,KULTS and Novums!!! So I'm totally stoked about this release
I would go even further and say, not only do I not need another analog emulation, I don't need another analog replica in hardware. There are brand new instruments that cost thousands of euros/dollars and they sound little different than their ancestors 40 years ago. I just don't get it... What's the point except showing the world: look, I have enough money to buy expensive gear! As you say, true innovation is happening here, in the world of (often) derided VST instruments. This is where the future of sound can be found. In the analog world, it's the yesterday.
How are you liking it? It looks neat, but still missing a bunch of features. Will probably hit $100 or less this November and maybe be all patched up by then. How does the sequencer compare to MicroTonic??
Sounds great. Especially good for cinematic work and ambient. I'm sure the colour bass / future riddim people will like it too. Nice job on the patches and thanks for the demo!
@@SoundAuthor didn't notice that. everytime i opened myth so far i went directly to the init button. but in this video it worked super well with whatever you composed with it
The Cricket Song patch alone would be worth all the moneys for this thing. Based on just your patches here, MYTH sounds a lot more musical, etheric and dare I say... BEAUTIFUL vs. How KULT and Abyss sound quite demonic and NOVUM which sounds exactly like Cthulhu The characteristics of these patches and synthesis engines remind me of Tone2 synths, with a homage to the KORG Wavestation (not the wavestate. HAS has that brightness and animated panorama feeling like Wavestation had)
What’s your favorite synth these days? Mine is a tossup between Serum, Vital, and Phaseplant. But all four of these monsters from Dawesome are intriguing me as well, at least the patches are! The GUIs are quite busy and will take some getting used to.
JUst bought it a few minutes ago and it really is a cool synth, ( Theres a sale of $125 now reg price is $179) but it is going to take some time to make my own patches love your patches that 80's patch is nice
@@SoundAuthor I wasn’t implying that… but that synth totally floats my boat! (And based on your patches here, I get why you took a liking to KRC Mathwaves! This is totally in the same universe.
Yep. Inside of each oscillator section, there are two optional "Wave" modules that provide traditional subtractive waveforms, and there are also analog modeled filters.
