Great honest review. Rapidos HO version years ago had same issues with trucks and overall maintenance issues due to the complex drive train. All in all I think it comes down to spacing in those units as they are more stream lined tubes then boxy high rectangles. However with rapidos life time warranty worst case scenario drive it to Jason so he can fix it lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m going to have to get his address. With all that was said it’s worth it and so is the company. I have a GMD-1 and my oldest daughter was trying out switching and she was going a little to fast bumped the cars hard and broke the coupler. I messaged Rapido Trains and told them what happen and they sent me new couplers and a note saying that my daughter is a Proto typical operator!!!! 🤣🤣🤣. That’s how great they are.
@@H0bby_Adventure yes they are great with customer service. I think most likely best. My 10 dollar bill via came with missing wiper blades, and faulty coupler. They asked me if I want to send it in for repairs or is it something I can do myself if they send parts. I said I can do it. They send my a bunch of wipers and 3 couplers. No questions asked.

Sounds and looks suberb, great vid production. If it was my loco I would order high ware parts. Ive ordered spare parts on some of my Jouef hornby trains even thow the trains are running perfect. p.s my odd train is on its way... All the best Jim.

Holly molly searching for 2 years!!!!! You must be excited as I was when I got the turbo. Man Jim you have some Sirius patience. There’s one train that I would like and it’s from minitrix. It is a euro type train that Ontario North Lander bought and used for their luxurious passenger line. Can’t remember the type of train off hand but it has the word Tee in it. This is a second had set as well.
Hi Tim Great review Man i really enjoyed watching this .Q= was the Train run in when you ran it when you where testing & i dismantle the body 1st when pulling out the Trucks as they can break which has happened to me a few times now Be careful Please that T on the top will snap off + it should be easier to install .Great detailed Turbo Train love the sound features all 20 of them (try remembering them all)Awesome Presentation on you Videos Tim .....Rich.....
Lol ya there’s no way that I’m going to remember all the function. A= I did a 45 min break in for both direction be for I did that test. I’ll run the train some more and I’ll do an update in a couple of weeks. Hovermotion suggested that I order some extra parts and keep them on hand. Sound like a good idea. Great job on the video. My buddy bought the VIA yellow version 9 car set with sound. I was thinking of making a video, but you did a better job than I would. Maybe I'll just post a video of it running on his layout.Also, like you, he has the ECoS. I was pleasantly surprised to see Railcom pull in the icons. I'll download your loco images for his ECoS. thanks.Also, the thin plastic sheets from the case make it easier to remove the vehicles but more importantly they prevent the foam from bonding to the plastic train cars. After a few years of no use, the foam deteriorates and sticks to the plastic. It is not a pleasant experience to see this happen to your precious and expensive rolling stock. So keep that extra coach wrapped.
Hey CMR thanks for the comment. Personal I would like to see the Via scheme in action. So go for the video. 😮I didn’t know that the soft plastic would keep the foam from sticking to the plastic. Oh my gosh that would be so terrible to have something like that happen.
That's a very good point, the foam turns itself back into a sticky goo or just crumbles in your hand depending on the chemicals they used to make it, it will distroy the paint and if it doesn't you will distroy it by trying to remove the goo from the paint.. This brings back a lot of sad memories, where slot cars were also packaged that way and depending where you hid them from your younger brothers from messing with them while you were chasing girls the time it took to go back to goo depended on temurature.. Sigh.
Very bad ass Tim, sounds like and APU starting on a commercial jet.... very cool.... talking about the trucks, TOMIX are the same as fox and bachmann, Kato's are easy. Most all of my trains hardly have a total of 1-2 hours total run time, and I think I have about 275 complete trians... oh me... again very nice

Hey S-I-R-R Productions. I’ve bin looking and can’t really any info about that. But the one tight turn that is on my layout is boarder line operation. That curve is about 9* but it is super super elevated. Personally I think it will be comfortable with a 11* curve.

Great review. Funnily enough I just ordered one of these in the CN livery this morning. Question for you - I notice you added it as a consist. Didn't RailCom on the ECoS pick up both decoder cars as one? I have the Rapido Virgin Pendolino and put both cars on the programming track at the same time and it added it as one unit. Is it different on the Turbo Train?

Hey Kris. I had that thing called “premier” activated. so what that does is it let’s everyone know that there is a video coming soon and then there’s a count down. During the “ premier” there is a live chat that everyone can be a part of. Anyways the video was released at 6:00 am today Nov 15th so you should be good to watch it now.
Yeah, I would turn off 16,17 too... They have to work on the announcements as da French accent iz bleeding into the English and the English is bleeding into da French momentz... The horn is wrong too.. looks like Rapido will be coming up with a version 2 as they can do MUCH BETTER... The trucks are probably copyrighted so they had to do it this way, but yeah, I agree, this is tiny as it is and not evereyone has dexterity or eyesight of a Chinese worker that burps these out by the thousands... Just remember to use lube that is SAFE FOR PLASTICS as anything else will distoy it at the molecular level and the next thing you know it catches fire around Cornwall.

@@H0bby_Adventure I watched and posted on Jason's site and he said in his Turbo video that his HO version was total crap and that's why they fetch such high prices and not because they are any good... Reverse psychology!
