Hey all- many are asking how this works on PC so I thought I would clarify. For me it works fine, but I’m told that it does not work for a number of games (e.g For Honor). You have to check per game to see its functionality since it doesn’t officially support PC. Personally, I use it for all of my PC that require a controller because (luckily) none of those have had compatible issues. I would just use my standard DS4 if I did run into any issues. Also, many are commenting that it isn’t available in the US which I was honestly stunned to learn. Apparently you can import it from Amazon but that jacks the price. I’m sure they’ll do a US release soon though so maybe hold tight till then if you’d like to avoid the shipping fees.
I have an xbox elite controller using it on pc, looking for something of the same quality for ps4, do you know how are both compared? And by the way, very professional review, I like it a lot. You are also very confident in front of a camera, respect. May I ask what do you do in your job, I mean is that a skill you have studied or just natural?
Not sure if you had the right-analog stick sensitivity issue, but if you did could you speak to your experience in a separate video and what settings/configuration you discovered may or may not counter-act the problem. Besides this issue, it really is an amazing controller. Thank you!
I have Nacon and only complain i have is R1and L1 buttons and position for middle fingers while you holding controller, its just dont feal natural.I have big hands.Use this controller for fast FPS,like Titanfall 2, its awesome.
@@kevergodbushmaster5442 it is. Xbox has many things that make it superior to ps4. They give their users free store currency on special occasions and really good discounts plus some of the best exclusive games
Yes - after playing with this, I canNOT go back to the stock PS4 controller, I HATE the position of the left analog. This one is more like the standard of left stick position, so it's easier for me to go between my wiiu, SWITCH, 3DS, and my 3rd party PS3 controller.
Heroic Nerd do the pack paddles feel nice like an Xbox elite controller? I recently switched to ps4 and bought a scuf but the paddles on the scuf are superrrr stiff compared to the Xbox elite controller
Eddie Perkins spacing yes. Your left thumb operates the left stick with different movements on the ps4 compared to the Xbox. ( thumb faces vertical Xbox. Horizontal on ps4).
not wireless? can't use it then. i got little kids running around my house. a cord just gives them something to trip over and inevitably drag my ps4 to the ground and break it.
Thanks for the review. Always enjoy hearing your opinion. I'm considering this as an upgrade to my old but dependable DS3 controller for PC gaming. Was going to go DS4, but hey it's 2021 and I'm still alive. Might as well celebrate. Enjoy the new year.
Games for gold, backwards compatibility, game sharing, name changing, Xbox account is a Microsoft account, I'm sorry are controllers the only thing that's right now?
Trigger game sharing playstation have a similar option although not as good but is it such a massive thing although good why would I ever need to game share? Suppose If you lack funds its good just not a feature I need, backwards compatibility we had it again probably useful for on average 1 game for abit of nostalgia for a day, you can do it on psn but rent I think, name changing is coming (extremely overdue should of changed the system a long time ago although a huge job?) Microsoft account what's the benefit? If I went into why Sonys console is better this gen the list would be way bigger than that and less gimmicky difference and actual useful advantages and differences.
I'd have to say the Raiju beats the Nacon. Lemme explain. The Nacon I've played with for a few months. Almost 8 months. After a while the shoulder/trigger buttons became harder and harder to press, and in a game like Dreadnought, you have to *really* press them for them to do anything. The Raiju I just received. And for the shoulder buttons, they have a hair trigger setting that's a literal switch. Makes for less of a press and a quicker result. It's lighter, the face buttons are easier to press, also 4 additional buttons for remapping/macros if you decide to run it on a PC.
Yep. After about 11 months the Nacon pro 2 is doing the same. L1 basically needs full force for it to register a press now. Also that Matt finish on the front starts to peel off. I'm looking for something not Nacon now. It's a shame because I enjoyed at first.
ive bought 3 controllers in the few months i have had my ps4, i would be nice to get a controller with out having to worry about it taking a shit for a good while
I was just going to say the same thing. everything they have is like an Xbox One controller and oooo no they have added buttons like the Xbox elite controller too. the might as well said hey everyone on PlayStation since Xbox has a better controller we are making one just like it for PlayStation
I was looking for an adapter to use the xbone controller on the PS4 since my hands are big as well. So happy your vid popped up on my feed so I don’t have to go through that complicated mess. Thanks, skill up
The Xbox form factor (stick placement, grip shape etc...) is huge for some of us. I find the dualsuck 4 to be really uncomfortable. This alongside the super cheap slim makes the PS4 a lot more viable for me now. No wireless is a bit annoying, especially seeing as they managed to get it into the Elite controller just fine but I'm alright with it overall compared to a regular dualsuck.
Magic I used ps controllers and xbox 360 controllers and enjoyed the Xbox controller more because it fits my big hand that's why I'm going to buy this controller for my ps4
Agreed. The customer controller companies seem to be my best option. Which is too bad, other than layout this seems to be exactly what I am looking for.
I used it for quite some time but didn’t like it. U felt that the joystick had some weird sensitivity settings if it’s own for example when I play fortnite a 5 sensitivity feels like 7. So I just went back to the standard controller. Old is Gold.
I'm a bit of a spaz and always have a spare brand new controller as a backup just in case something happens to my current one. This is going to be my next buy. Glad I watched this video.
I’ve had this controller awhile now and it’s been a great controller too But recently if the wire near the controller goes straight it turns off anyone else having this issue
@@slrsaiah05 there is a critical design flaw where the cord shorts out after about 3-6 months. Once its starts going off your time with this controller is limited. DO NOT BUY THIS CONTROLLER.
I finally decided to get both PS4 and Xbox One and the regular PS4 controller was so hard to use due to size, analog spacing and the DPad,glad I got this
I’d be really interested to know how it’s held up since 2017? I’ve been through 2 razer raiju’s now and I’m debating what controller to replace it with.
I got stick drift on the right stick.less than 3 months in.and thats on the 170 euro variant.a friend had this one and it replaced twice within a year.i think the best thing is mod the original controller yourself.scuf fangs, homemade trigger stops(just heat a small screw and put it the right place.and control freaks maybe.too bad i cant make the triggers more responsive(yet).and i do take out the rumbles for lees weight too.
Hey Skill Up, after almost 2 years from releasing this review, do you still have good things to say about this controller, taking into account the latest SCUFs and many others? I'm planning to buy it now, because the price dropped like 50% and in comparison with other pro controllers, I don't see any big difference. Hope you can see this comment, thanks and take care.
bought it, gave it back, it's soo massive and too big, the joystick is way to sensitive when i play overwatch, my aim was so bad while playing... and the triggers are big af
LuxusTwiQz that is exactly what happened to me but I couldn't return it back i just bought an xim4 it's been working perfectly for me in destiny plus it's perfect training so i can be ready when destiny 2 comes out on PC
o have this controller for my ps 4 pro and i agree its a awesome one, the price worth all times because ps 4 is the better console overall against x-box one but x-box had/has alltimes the better controlers in my opinion because of the ergonomy and sticks...
@@roymonson9229 This controller is desinged for FPS games, control freeks are for standard controllers and thumb sticks. This controller already have it built-in, duh.
This controller definitely changed the way how I used the controller. The best finger position is ring finger for M3 and M4, middle finger for M2 and M3 while your index finger for R1,R2, L1 and L2 and your thumb no longer need to leave the thumb stick. If this controller allow user to change the thumb stick, I will say it is a controller worth such high price.
Are you being paid by Nacon to review this controller? Because all the reviews I have read on Amazon say this controller Sucks! and customers service Sucks! Read more bad reviews than good ones.
There is no way that You used this for 2 month and didnt realized the right stick lag. Hoping to get more free stuff huh? Do you know how many pepole wasted their money on this garbage cause of this review like i did?
Ok I caved and watched it. Just picked one up myself. Can't believe I'm saying it bud but great video watched easily 100 videos on this controller and this is the best I have watched.
You do realize that the first version of the dualshock 4 just worked through bluetooth? Even if it’s connected through a cable to the ps4. Lol dipshit.
Well damn with a review like this, no wounder nacon is making an ultimate version of this!!! And its by far looking soooo good !!! U can change the sticks and control the volume and now its finaly at long last wired or wirless!!!
As a all platform player, I have played on all Xbox’s and ps’s and a experienced pc player, I can say that console is better, only for value tho, apart from that console is nothing, but one thing I love is the controller design of the Xbox, and the value powerhouse of the PS4, it’s nice to see some brand partners being inspired from their competition to make great products like these
same here and i can't find a fucking way to repair it it won't turn on i am never buying this shit controller i mean barely 8 months of use (and yes i play gently it has never fallen) it just doesn't turn on money waste great
This is basically the xbox one controller on a ps4. A dream come true for people who hate the dual shock 4 like myself. The biggest copy of the xbox one controller are not the thumbsticks, but the RB/RT and LB/LT buttons. They are pretty much exactly like the xbox one controllers in terms of how your index fingers just contour the top of the controller, wth easy access to the triggers. The things that i hate about the dual shock 4 other than it's not friendly for larger hands is the huge dead zone between R1/R2. This controller is a godsend.
i have the revolution pro v1 since 3 years and it still works like brand new ! I could never go back to stock controllers now ! I agree with you, nacon is the best controller !
I've always wanted buttons on the back of the controller. It made sense for me when I first started to play xbox and ps2 in 2001. It's super practical. But I made up for it by playing with the claw grip. Super easy with an evening of practice to do the claw grip. That kind of grip is best done with a controller with a lot of surface area, like the xbox one controller. With the Nacon Revolution Pro, you don't even need to do the claw grip because of those back buttons.
I can confirm that the Nacon Revolution Pro is the best controller yet for the PS4. Been using mine quite a bit in the past 6 months, and so far so good (Knock on wood). My one & only complaint is that 'Yes' it does not come wireless. Other than that, its a fantastic controller. Don't hesitate to buy!
I'm confused? Why turn a PS4 controller into an Xbox controller? Is this to accommodate Xbox players to PS4? Is this the sole purpose? Otherwise the whole concept of this controller is rudendent and irrellavent smh
it's so people who prefer the xbox style controller can use it. mainly for ps4 users. I know psone that refused to buy the ps4 because of the controller. this could sway them. it's not irrelevant. it's totally a positive thing
Brad not necessarily saying is to say although I used that as an example. it's no secret however, the xbox controller is the better. of corse that is purely opinion based. it's the favored opinion.
@Skill Up, great review, agree with everything you said. Totally disregard all criticisms that say ... Looks like Xbox, is too big, don't like 8-way D-Pad, it's not wireless. You just get used to it, real quick, believe me ... Stick control is so accurate ... and you never want to use DualShock controller ever again, or stuff around recharging every 5-6 hours (which was a totally ridiculous design flaw). Nacon just do need to release config software for Apple Mac users, or better yet, a config App you can run on PS4. AND YOU CAN USE a standard USB EXTENSION CABLE if you want ... NO PROBLEM.
The staggered sticks happened to be a nintendo controller trait as well. The gamecube (which launched a day before the original xbox) had staggered sticks.
100% agree with this review. I've had mine since December & absolutely love the controller. I've read people having issues with theirs, but I gotta say mine works flawlessly. It would be a dissapoinment if I would have to go back to a stock PS4 controller.
I'm a huge fan of your stuff. All of your opinions resonates with me 100% of the time. Having said that, give Razer Raiju Tournament Edition a try. IMO it is the best controller ever made :)
Just went and bought one. Good to see you still going strong on here buddy. You should include an affiliate link so you can start getting paid for the referral!
Looks pretty good, i really hate the parallel thumbsticks on the standard PS controller. Offset thumbsticks feel alot more natural and comfortable to me....
I have to say what an awesome review and another fellow Aussie on here, you have just sold me I was looking between this one and the Razor. This is the one for me, thanks again and I have subscribed to your channel as well. Is this also compatible with Mac as I understand it is PC driven ????? Cheers Ocean from Canberra
Nice review, considering getting one. Just curious, how long are the Joysticks? And could they be replaced with OEM Sony sticks, I like to play with stick extensions and it doesn't look like they'd fit on this controller. Any thoughts?
I have a scuf controller and it is awesome, I personally love the paddles on the back instead of little buttons you have to search for. And the paddles are fully mappable too. So I'll stick with the scuf😉
Before anyone buys make sure you know this. Pros: Very good quality Cons : the L2and R2 triggers... You really have to relearn using them ... sounds silly ??? Ya it is cos most controllers (dualshocck xbox ) you 'pull' the triggers .. in nacon 's case cos of the design you are actually pushing them cos of the angle. Next the analog sticks are really small. Not a big issue on the right stick but as for the left stick besides being small its really hard to activate L3 when it is not straight up. This is a real bummer for FPS players. Anyway just make sure you try it out before you buy.
Think I'd pick this up when I get a Pro. Not expecting it to be on par with my Xbox Elite controller but definitely looks a better option than the standard PS4 pads.
