Shapo is an exhibition tennis player. He along with his friend felix should stick to exhibition matches until they find a coach who can help them to not double fault and miss easy shots in a very crucial point in their games.😠
@@mohanlalrampersad490 It's funny how certain RU-vidrs seem to know what is best for top 10 or 12 tennis players. As if the latter don't quite know what they're doing and could benefit from the wisdom or illumination of the former.
@@yacovmitchenko1490 sure they don't know what they doing. And I did say they need a coach. So let me ask you, why is shapo not the no. 1 or no. 2 player in the world? He has all the technical skills and he has the flare. He does not have the killer instinct. Look at Danil or even Rublev for example, you have to play the point not rush to finish it(leaving Novak aside)
Rafael Nadal might have lost but he look much better physically and with his movements. I see lot of positives here and just hoping his left foot is better and nothing is serious so that he can concentrate to get back the precision and tenacity at AO.
Maybe he's adapting his game so that it's less physical and less taxing on his body.. just like Roger and Nole adapted their games after injury, or after a drop off in form.. so just give it time.. hopefully he'll come good.. hoping so 🙏🏻
Nadal never defends much in Abu Dhabi. He always plays full offense here to find form. He also crushed Shapo in practice apparently. I wouldn’t read much into these results. He will have Melbourne to play into form and then hopefully he gets a few easy matches at the Australian Open.
Loosing a couple of close games means nothing , He doesn't have to prove anything to anyone , only to himself , his name is already in Tennis History forever!!!
Not forever, only for about 50 to 100 years only, after that nobody will remember him 😁, because all big 3 records will be broken someday, and there will always be new champions
@@cesarfernandezlopez5063 record is meant for breaking. Big 3 will be hall of fame with others like Sampras, Agassi, Becker etc. You can not be the best for ever. Sampras game was compared with Federer on Grass & it will be compared with others in the future. Same way, Nadal game will be compared with someone in future on Clay.
People are reading way too much into this. It's an exhibition, he's back after 4 months. And yes, he looked rusty with his footwork in one point in the tie-break. So what?
Tennis is a beautiful sport when played on a quick surface! Shapo playing with the depth of McEnroe, Rafa seems to have made some adjustments of improvement but he has never been an attacking player tactically.
Practically none of these comments are congratulating Shapo WITHOUT mentioning Nadal. Nadal is great, this isn't up for debate so why does everyone have to downplay Shapo's performance? Foot injury this, not comfortable that.
Only injuries could keep this warrior out of the Game. It hurted seeing this. Still he may comeback but if he does not, his legacy is already firmly established. I've been watching tennis since Laver days. Rafa is among the greatest irrelevant of slams. Overall...attitude, sportmanship, spirit, composed. #ThanksRafa
I didn't see the match but it looks like Nadal it's still having problems with his foot, maybe not the whole match but at the end of the third set,I not really sure but we can see clearly in very last points, that's not good news.
I know the result won’t officially count, and Nadal is coming off an injury lay-off, but Shapo still has to feel pretty awesome about beating one of the all-time greats.
Nadal was cleary out of timing. We know his legs are not the same, even before the injury, but his forhand used to be more deep and penetrating. It is to soon to judge. We need to give him more matches.
There's the answer for his RG SF loss..Due to injury, He cld not slide to his BH side( To hit sliding BH winners),which was one of his Strength on Clay..Add to this His shit serve at RG and Novak's beast mode..Defeat at RG😔😔
@@subhashis_M delpo is a great player but injuries ruined him..He got one slam compared to Rafa 20 ..Rafa is the player who wins big titles even if he had multiple injuries..That's why he is the greatest fighter in tennis history
I'm honestly a lifelong Rafa fan but I do feel like this time there is a robust, palpable gap in where the game is at and where he is with his career. OK he's just come back but these guys at the top are just so strong, quick and solid that Rafa's frailer and slightly slower game won't be able to match up. I know this may be unpopular but looking at Zverev and Medvedev and co I just don't know how Rafa would impact their game.
@@markorasovic7366 I'd love to agree with you Marko but he looked lost against Djokovic at RG this year. Also we know he's a confidence player right? So if he's having a horrid run to RG he just won't win it, Rafa never just turns up and wins things, even RG.
@@Incandescence555 you’re not a life long rafa fan, if you were you would never underestimate him on clay on the basis of 1 season where he was injured. What a shame, you have to lie like that.
@@tennis-man1902 What a shame you have no manners, decorum and go round calling people you don't know liars, have some respect for yourself there. Being a tennis fan isn't some blind evangelism, I'm so sorry you experience it like that.
@@ivanpalaca6230 no, its just an exhibition tournament for people’s entertainment so they did it. It also could be that Nadal himself asked for a match so he can practice more for Australian open. Nadal = more audience in the stadium afterall
KInda seems like Nadal gave it to Shabalov with slow, no-depth ground shots; and standing so far behind the baseline that Shabalov dictated the points with easy forehand winners.
Ну что там говорить, но Денис намного острее и агрессивнее играет. У него что ни удар, то в линию. Прям не существует у него другого варианта. Всё в притирку к линиям играет.
@@seanhartel5362 he has knee problems and it gets worse by age and hard and grass courts are harder on the knees than clay which explains why, it will def take him some time
All these claydal lovers... if claydal lose it was because of any injurie you can imagine but if he win then it was because he is a a star. This guy is over and he is reaping all the bad karma he sowed against other players during hes career
@@robocop581 #1 congrats to nadal for this victory, he deserves no doubt about it #2 it is a shame to see players like Shapo full of inconsistency #3 it is a shame too to see behaviour like nadal delaying the game in porpouse until provoque the anger of the opponent, but well, it was Shapo obligation to keep calm but he didnt #4 tournament still not end, lets see whats next and you and my talk
Nadal just needs to retire. It is just sad to see him a mere shadow of himself. Even at Roland Garros he is very much beatable now. It is time to retire in grace than hanging around and disgracing his legacy.
What are you saying? He won Rome, Barcelona and reached the semifinals beating everyone. He lost to Djokovic in an epic four setter of almost 5 hours. Novak is one of the greatest in history if not the greatest. So, I think Rafa still got a lot to give.
Have faith in him, and mark my word, he will win 2 slams in 2022 he will comeback and he's the greatest fighter and most successful athlete in the world with so many injuries in history of sports if other person in place of him it was a just a dream to win 5 slams
