This is a good conversation. First thought is, Ego is gnostic, an experiential knowledge that is in constant gradient. Its origins is most likely survival. "Im here, the cliff is there. This is me." As a planet we evolved ego and this false linear construct idea that all of our human ideas are the superior intelligence. And we built ourselves a cage.

I’m somewhere between naive optimism and manifestation Simply, increasing my awareness increases my awareness of opportunities, and action makes those opportunities more likely to happen I use to be really depressive, and trust me I struggle with the symptoms of the illness depression… but I no longer think how my depression/anxiety had me thinking. Once I understood I really truly know nothing, stopped my limiting beliefs of “that’s impossible”, and became even more aware of the things that contributed to my depression/anxiety/using that awareness to do what I can to get away from what causes me that anxiety. It turns out I also suffer from an illness that is like having a bully in your head, it’s called OCD.. it’s a debilitating condition that is not truly reflected in pop culture (someone who organizes is not ocd.. they’re just strictly organized) I stopped fighting the thoughts, and feelings, now I feel it all, I understand my thoughts aren’t mine anymore, I became increasingly aware of “if I haven’t experienced myself I don’t know it’s real” Things actually became a lot easier for me, and I’m fully aware of everything that stressed me out It turned me into something somewhere between a manifestation person & a naive optimistic person. For me, my life was a train wreck riddled with anxiety abuse and low energy depressive stuff The worst had happened, many times over.. This caused me to adopt this naive optimism manifestation stuff because if I loose it all… I allready came from that, and if it upsets me for too long I’m too attached to material things So why not be naively optimistic, as being able to face the great pain of losing everything is really a superpower. This naive optimism gets me places, and gets things done. I stopped worrying about the outcome, and started enjoying everything about my path to rather failure or success I don’t know where I’m meant to be in life, if anywhere… so enjoy every moment of it

I'm really glad there's a video about this topic that too from one of my favorite RU-vid channels! I believe naive optimism works best if you aren't actually naive.. (Read this sentence till you get it). Speaking about doing big tasks, (The novel, triathlon example), one concrete thing I do to make essentially any task doable is follow this one simple principle, "Don't solve problems that don't exist". Being prepared for mishaps is a different thing, that's risk management but solving problems that don't exist is a sure shot way to go into a downward spiral.

There is something to be said for that, on the other hand you have to realize that you can only do so much. it's likely that we lean more towards the latter considering the type of content that this is but also realize that if you lean too much into the former you can wind up like Elizabeth Holmes or SBF. It's not that you can't do something but you need to think about whether you should or not.

Fascinating however I disagree that there’s a clear line between naïve optimism and manifestation. Having watched and read a lot on the subject it’s a common misconception that manifestation doesn’t require you to act, that you can wish your dream car into existence. It’s about paying attention to your surroundings and accessing possibilities which were always there, but because you hadn’t mentally focused on them before ,you failed to see. When you receive inspiration, whether you view it as the universe sending you a sign,or that your increased focus has illuminated possibilities you hadn’t previously noticed …. Is irrelevant. What any manifestation guide worthy of attention will tell you is that, once you receive the inspiration, nothing will happen without action. I really enjoyed this video. Always great food for thought on this channel ❤

**Title:** "Embracing Naive Optimism: Believing in Success Against All Odds" **Summary:** In this RU-vid video, the presenter explores the concept of "naive optimism," which involves maintaining an unwavering belief in achieving positive outcomes, even in challenging situations. The key takeaways from the video are as follows: 1. **Belief in Success**: Naive optimism is the mindset of believing that good outcomes are more likely to happen to you than bad ones, regardless of the odds or obstacles. 2. **Ignoring Negativity**: Naive optimists choose to ignore negative possibilities and focus on positive expectations. This helps reduce anxiety and catastrophic thinking, allowing them to approach situations with a more open demeanor. 3. **Boosting Confidence**: Embracing this mindset can boost self-confidence and encourage individuals to step out of their comfort zones. It enables them to take on new challenges with a can-do attitude. 4. **Use in Decision-Making**: Naive optimism can be particularly useful when facing life-altering decisions or challenging circumstances. It helps individuals see a favorable resolution and make decisions with their future in mind. 5. **Practice and Adoption**: While it may not come naturally to everyone, naive optimism can be adopted through practice. Starting with small, positive affirmations and gradually expanding this mindset can lead to more optimistic thinking. The video emphasizes that naive optimism doesn't guarantee success magically but rather encourages individuals to actively work towards their goals with a positive outlook. It can be a powerful tool for personal growth and facing life's challenges.

Thanks for the breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). What's the best way to send them to Binance?

Great video however as a fake it till u make it person myself i stll underestimate my ability to reproduce materials and to explain how and why i got to that solution is not the "conventional" way as we are made familiar in schools... tis way is great when you have a self intrest in mind not when at the end of the road it doesnt matter to you for example my mate asked me to run half a marathon (i dont run) but sure i will do that cause i know i can even tho my body wont agree with me

Whenever I try being optimistic I jinx myself, so for me, I try to maintain negative energy. Seems to work better.

Conversely I know some people with naive optimism with pretty terrible lives. Something about them using optimism and motivational thinking to avoid taking responsibility for the actions which are causing them problems. They seem to think they just need to try harder instead of reflecting on what went wrong and learning from their mistakes.

You can be a realist and be right, or you can be an optimist and be rich.

Both optimism and pessimism are opinions, a united states of mind. Forget both. Annihilate both. Just do it.
