Sir, I am from India I have Nakamichi 682 ZX, CR 7 ,both are having issues .Then I am having ZX 7 which has the probkem of right channel not recording and on source also the signal is not there when connected with the source. The playback is excellent .The indicator light of metal ZX type s also fused .It requires rubber belt change and recording issue to be rectified .The ZX type tape, metal tape was also recording when the right channel issue was not there .The calibration and biasing happening in all the three types of cassettes .DR 2 is also with me and it works fully but due to less uses the operation buttons are no longer feather touch, slightly touphened .When pressed fir FF the playback indicator also lights up and initially the PP caps also disturbs when played but later on the pp cap does not trouble. The first twoI would like to sell for parts and the next two decks I would like to get it repaired .If the issue persists then the later two also I will sell . Your demo was really very good . I keep enjoing restoring and listening to multiple decks. That one was really special on the recording quality. However, I have a better decks :) Mine Sony TC-KA5ES performs well and sounds better than Nakamichi after I did upgrade to it. To tell the truth, it sounds similarly but has way more details and better 3D panorama. I am also selling Akai GX-Z9100, that one sounds very well either. Despite that decks cant compete technically in recording high frequencies with Nakamichi, the overall sound is super good.
