Great Video, but wish it hadn't taken years before they had this or any classes/groups in Solano County. Yolo County has a lot to offer for those who have loved ones with mental illness, thankfully. But not Solano County. They rake in a lot of dough from donations of people who want to help and pay their directors very well; but it would be a great service if they offered real help in Solano County. It would be great if they offered classes/groups for the mentally ill and their families, there are currently only ones for families. Thank you for listening, I hope.

I believe NAMI Peer To Peer is an encouraging group that has compassion because of everybody hearing each other out. In society, most people don't hear well especially when they don't have a Mental Illness dominating the conversation because of higher confidence. Not having enough compassion, understanding or support that makes me not want to speak to them about a particular problem regarding Mental Health. Some of us speak less and doesn't necessarily mean that I'm depressed when another person will have The Gift Of Gab needing a lot more conversation around. By staying in the house 24 hours a day, don't mean I'm lazy because I work every day within my Independent Organization similar to an Office Clerk. It doesn't mean that the office clerk is depressed based on how their living each day that I figured out how to spend my entire day is to research. Even though I speak less I started speaking verbally at three years old which means I always have the ability that was a misinterpretation by teachers in elementary school years ago. For me, social communication needs to be balanced because I can't speak unless I'm explaining the truth where some began to say, "He got a lot of mouths." How do I got a lot of mouths when I speak less naturally? The flip side to that sometimes I raise my voice louder if the other person isn't understanding what I'm telling them. I'm always more into peaceful and meaningful conversations leading to a solution that will improve my lifestyle. How can the Peer - To - Peer group therapy help me while I'm off my medications? 1. You'll act as a decent FAMILY who will hear me speak verbally in times of trouble not having nobody to speak with no judgment. 2. I will be able to SPEAK my Mental Health Experiences without anybody saying, "You got a lot of mouths." 3. I'll know I have the best HEARERS in the room who will give good advice only in areas where needed being supportive where I'll know I'm accepted. I believe NAMI Peer To Peer is an engaging group that has compassion because of everybody hearing each other out. 4. You all will RESPOND to me accordingly giving advice in areas only where needed having the maturity that leads to a solution. . NOTE: The Peer - To - Peer group works like Group Therapy at the Hospital, but only this time it's for ADULTS which are unheard of since the days I was hospitalized. I also thought of the individualized group working as a community center and Club House. Kind Regards, Internal Intelligence Agency LLC Improved Living Condition Scientist Research Department

My question is how does one motivate the person with the illness to be willing to try a program such as this?

He asked me "Momma, what is wrong with me" . We cried together and I told him I will not give up and will not quit.. under any circumstances.. I meant it.. I am hoping you, NAMI, will help us... Adult svc is another program, what is your feeling about that? Jojo does not trust them, and I trust that he feels that. I want him to have the kind of help that HE trusts...
