She had him beat after a very close battle, and she soared him, telling him either he gives up willingly and listens to reason or she kills him and leaves his people without a leader. As a proper leader, Namorbagreed and gave up. He then later stated to one of his aides that he will try to remain if friendly terms with Shuri because he knows that eventually, the surface world will turn on wakanda- and then wakanda will look to them for help

In truth they never should have been a threat in the first place, Wakandas defenses shouldn't have been so easily broken through, now maybe if the movie was souly just on Namor's terms like out at sea the whole time with under armored wakandans then yeah
