Whoever that first designer was, he/she was a genius for having them walk together side by side. Iconic.

I remember at some point in the '90's Ghauri and Campbell were both compared to the grace of the big cats. Yasmeen was known as "The Tigress" and Naomi was (*and still is) known as "The Panther". It is easy to see why. Both had fierceness down to an art form and both deserved the title of "Supermodel" preceding their first names.

I like how they where both walking together in the beginning almost like you were trying to say there is no competition between them. Yasmeen walk is like a soft type of fierce like she isn’t trying to be fierce it just come naturally Naomi have a “I know I’m the shit” type of fierce walk both of them had very beautiful fierce walk and the clothes stood out when they would wear them bc they know how to work a runway

Yasmeen Gauri left the industry when she was at the peak and pursued her studies and choose other carrier. Otherwise she would have still been around, achieved a lot in fashion Industry, in her modelling carrier and would have been respected, made a name by herself like Naomi Campbell. Not like she isnt a legend, she is a legend and she did pursue her other career which she became successful in it but only few people who are truly interested in fashion\modelling industries from the 80/90s know her. Now few other people know her through social media like RU-vid. She deserves all the respect💖

Let's just stop comparing these two iconic women and simply appreciate their strengths. Noami is fierce on the runway you can see she means business. She has such an amazing walk no doubt she's one of the original supermodels. Yasmeen is fierce but in an elegant way it's not 'I own the world' fierce but the confidence she exudes and the grace with which she carries herself is what makes her look ethereal.

Yasmeen walks so coquettish, languid and elevated, like an empress. Naomi walks like she puts nails into coffins with her every step, like a tigress on a prowl. They can't even be compared, two entirely different personalities.

Yasmeen at 6:34 is the walk of life Tyra Banks was describing. So casual and natural, yet so sexy and intimidating. Truly a joy to watch on the runway. As a die hard Naomi Campbell fan, I can say that Yasmeen is one of the few who can match Naomi.

You left out Yasmeen's greatest runway moment ever: when she walked out wearing a blue and black gown at Versace's Fall 1991 show. That moment was the epitome of "ball-bearing swivel of the hips".

What a lot of people don't understand is that cultivating a good runway walk that possesses the balance of demonstrating a presence on the runway while focusing on portraying and selling the clothes takes a LOT of work. Typically models teeter too far to an extreme. They either have no presence and walk like complete shit, or do way too damn much and their walk is way too performative causing less attention on the clothes and more on their over the top theatrical strut. But a balance of the two will sell the clothes more than anybody, models sell the clothes AND the attitudes and intentions of the garments. These two have perfected that, two women of color supermodels who are talented beyond belief and have the greatest walks known to man at the top of their industry. If models of today possessed even an ounce of their presence they'd do amazing. Bless Yasmeen and Naomi, greatest of all time
