It was so disgusting. Even though they were booing the umpire mainly cuz of Them wanting Serena Williams to win. Osaka deserved that championship and Serena couldn’t face the fact Osaka out played her. That’s what makes this even sweeter that she won the Aussie title cuz she got robbed of celebrating her first championship. Made me sick when she apologized for winning the US title over Serena 🤦♂️
@@niliaasmr5471 ??? Where did that come from? Her parents aren’t rich. When you win a grandslam, you get prize money. I think it’s $100,000 I don’t know. She also gets sponsorships and probably ads, so she gets a lot of money. Not from her parents.
Finally! A successful public figure who is actually humble! It is sooo refreshing, and endearing! It makes her more immediately likable than any polished speech ever could. Keep being you!
@@jamesyelton11 So Serena & Sharapova are the only GS champions that matter to you? STFU. There are plenty of humble ones so stop focusing on those that aren't.
A championship moment is how she makes it, not how you or anyone else from the sideline thinks it should be. In saying that. She finally had her second* championship moment.
@@cayer1999 she over came it. People who keep bringing this up just need to do the same. And the audience booed, they all made the decision to boo. Anyway, congratulations on her second championship moment
well when you win your first GS you expect people to cheer. why would Naomi say the moment in NY was bittersweet? why would winning your first GS be bitter?
Nothing but admiration for Naomi Osaka. So humble and appreciative. She has this good vibes and appeal which make her likeable. Hope she inspires more young tennis players in the future.
I agree - I have been watching her progress since day 1 and I knew she will be a mega winner - so grateful and warm hearted. She is gonna rick the tennis world.
"Public speaking isn't my strong side" and then she turns around and give a warm and respectful congratulations to an equally deserving champion in Petra Kvitova
Her voice needs to be on relaxing audiotapes. She would be great for that! Congrats to Naomi and I hope she can get through the mental health issues and get back to her top form. She is an awesome champion.
I am just glad that finally she got her momemt without someone destroying it! Congrats Naomi and all who doubted her she is the real deal. The best of her gen and she is new superstar of women tennis!
@@santiagoguerreroaraujo4928 believe. There are 20 year old champions who have not lost their innocence in this world. May be you have not met anybody like her in ur life.
Proud isn't enough to describe how i feel about Naomi right now. She won the battle against herself. What a young woman she is, let alone tennis player. Congratulations. Surely many more to come.
Such a gentlewoman i would say, so spontaneous, no winning speech like other players. Being what she is, being natural. Not just grand slam, not just final, she has won hearts.
Naomi is very talented and will continue to go even further. Her speech is just where she is - young and naturally beautiful. As time goes by she will open up - just all so new to her.
Same, but I PVR’d the match. Didn’t want to wake up at 3:30 this morning, so watched it later. Without looking at my Apple devices to avoid online spoilers, I watched the full match. Both were deserving. Great match indeed 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.
Woow we are Malaysian fans sooo happy and proud of you winning the Grand Slam AO. Thanks Naomi you will never make we feel so sad if you were down Congrates.
Hi baby Osaka what are you doing baby I hope you fine you know my mind is made up by the way that I feel there is no beginning there ll be no end cause on my love you can depend baby ah yeah you know my friend, #"
I’m happy for Naomi enjoy her moment without any hesitation this time. It was not pleasant to see her crying next to Serena acting like a winner and stealing applause from spectators in US open.
o god ! She is so humble n innocent . so simple n honest . she is real. she really respects her opponents always . god bless u Naomi Osaka. u won hearts also.
CONGRATS to you Naomi... I could NOT be MORE HAPPY for you... and am THRILLED that you were able to be RECOGNIZED and APPLAUDED for your win at the AUSTRALIAN OPEN... BEST OF LUCK to you... I just wish you would have been given the proper recognition and applause here in the US... Keep being GREAT!!!
i went to melbourne from nz to watch the aussie open and I'v been watching her for a while and being able to watch her in the semis was amazing, she is truly an amazing player who deserved her win
Congratulations Naomi! You deserve it! Great fighter! I remember last year in AO Simona Halep said , after playing Naomi in australian open, that she is a very good player, going to go far in tennis, even said that she is the new Serena...after that many reporters criticise Simona for what she said, thinking she is exaggerating....well...she predicted well!!!
Because Naomi wins tennis titles, you've become proud of her by saying she's Japanese. What about all the marginalized mixed race people in Japan since they have a black parent. You hypocrites!
I am a Japanese mother who is raising racially mixed kids in US. I am very proud of her and her parents. It is not very easy to live in US as an Asian. We are often discriminated by just being an Asian or not being able to speak English without an accent. I found a lot of people hate each other for no reason in this country. I would be able to live more peacefully in Japan. I have a lot of friends who are raising biracial kids in Japan and they are very happy about it. Raising a kids who has mixed racial and cultural backgrounds is much harder than you would even imagine. Being a biracial and bi- cultural kid is not easy either. I know they went through so much. But Naomi is such a wonderful lady. She is such a perfect blend of three countries. I mean, .........Who could hate her? She is totally showing a beautiful example of mixed racial and cultural kids to the world. I admit some of old Japanese people still have distorted view toward foreigners. But when I see your comment, I do not see any difference between you and these old, uneducated, Japanese. Please visit Japan once. You will love us and we love you.
Usually in any gs final I have my fav and root for that player. this time though I was slightly more rooting for Naomi but I feel bad for Petra. I can see she is holding her tears. She is very down to earth. Same goes to Naomi. She is so humble and talented. I hope this two women will meet in another grand slam again
My goodness, how refreshing. A young woman who is at the top of her game and is still humble, thankful and gracious. Her parents have raised a very fine young woman. She is a breath of fresh air in the world of tennis.
I think Osaka is the most humble & gracious player ever to have won a major in the women’s tennis history. How can anyone not like her. Her down to earth personality is what makes her more adorable.
I knew Naomi was going to win. She has such grace and she’s so humble. I can see here dominating this sport like how Tiger Woods dominated in golf. And I love that she’s so shy ☺️. Congrats Naomi!!!
Naomi Osaka remember that name its gonna be the new princess and in the near future the new queen if she's just take good care of her progress career well done bravo GS #2 🎾🏆🥇🎉🎊
Awesome Yes Naomi Osaka i was so routing for you here. What a great match, you showed great self control after second set. Wel deserved and we hope to see here in a lot more finals! And all respect for Petra Kvitová . She is indeed a great inspiration to all after here comeback. Congrats for reaching an other final after your injury.
not about Serena so why even mention her name. She has many titles so we are not comparing. Naomi is awesome and these are all about her and her game minus anyone else.
She is extremely gracious and deserves her moment on the podium without having to apologize as she did in NY for having defeated the crowd's favorite, Serena Williams. Both Williams and her fans in NY were a disgrace to tennis. That event hit a new low for the US Open.
Naomi is one special young lady, when you have a prodigious talent that’s still developing , combined with the most beautiful soul & heart warming personality, I think it’s safe to say WTA is in very safe hands for the next decade. Congratulations Naomi so exciting to watch your amazing journey. ❤️🏆🏆❤️
How on earth can anyone not like and admire this kid...what an inspiration...true champion..great humility in Victory......hope this is just the beginning of a Great Great career..
Great and tremendous challenge for you Naomi Oska on this year 2019 -A O international tennis competition and it's amazing and so good for 21 years of age and all the best for the future!!
I just love this girl!! She is the new Serena but down to ground!! I pray for her, May God keep her healthy n fit. Huge respect for her for being so humble!!
