I've maintained that narcs should be registered and tracked similarly to sex offenders so you know. Who where and most importantly what they are. I truly believe this. What they do to people who simply didn't know they were being led into the middle of a minefield and left there while the narc stands to one side and smirks then goes and cheats when they get bored.

By your logic I should be coddled were I to sexually abuse children. It is after all what I learned as a child. No, NPD is not a mental disability. I have bipolar disorder, and am neurodivergent; THOSE are mental disabilities, I work with them, I'm self aware, I know what triggers things, I see my doctors regularly, I take medications. Narcassists KNOW what they are doing. They KNOW they are hurting you. It brings them satisfaction and temporarily they feel less crappy about themselves, not by doing the things I and millions of people w actual disabilities do to make ourselves better and the lives of those around us. They can control their behavior, just like they do around everyone else. Usually only one person gets a look at the beast behind the mask. Everyone sees someone totally different. They twist, manipulate, insult, gaslight, control, and damage the one who loves them most. The one they've convinced that they love in return. They intentionally make you doubt what you know, your experiences, memories, perceptions, and ultimately sanity...and they KNOW it. All with the sole intent of controlling and breaking and hurting you. And they know going into they will use you and damage you until they resent and ultimately hate and discard you, usually in the cruelest manner and make a point of doing so when you are not expecting it, for, y'know extra pain, a twist of the knife. And they KNOW it. They may not know what they are and so few as to be anolomolies would care because others are not people, they are things, things they own and will treat the way they wish. They know going into it they are playing a game with you. They KNOW it. They insult you to your face, they do it in oblique ways, overt ways, obtuse ways, and always humorless ways because they get off on hurting you. They turn people against you, knowingly, they isolate you ftom everyone and everything. They leave you a heap of flaming wreckage and if they get to see the pain they caused it makes them happy. They confuse, damage hurt, destroy, lie, cheat, and accuse you of doing exactly what they are doing...it goes on long enough they'll kill you. Maybe with their own hands, maybe you will take your own life, they certainly cause a host of serious and chronic issues. What they do causes brain damage. Literal brain damage. I suffer it myself. If they don't literally kill you they figuratively do. The person I was, that I loved is dead. Gone, will not be back. And let's not forget that psychological torture and emotional abuse ends there. They can and do lay hands on you, sexually abuse you. And they KNOW it, and they don't care. They have no sympathy, no mercy, no kindness, no pity, nothing redeeming at all. And they don't give a shit. Make no mistake, they are not non compis mentis. This is not a thing that should be coddled, treated with understanding, with peace. Offer your other cheek and they will take it as consent to go further. No, this is no mental disability. Understand this; I've seen that sobbing inner child that is my ex sitting on the floor because the room is bare, frightened and hurt, lonely, waiting for someone to open the door, turn on the light and hug him tightly, show him the room is furnished and beautiful and the door was never locked. I've seen that, I can still see that poor child. So...I understand. I know what made him, I know him better than he knows himself. I gave him my heart and he destroyed it. I understand, and I understand this is no mental disability to be made excuses for, to be treated gently and w forgiveness. The kind, smiling, gentle, loving, happy, empathic, woman I was...is in a very real way dead. I will show no mercy and my understanding will not extend to treating him or any like him with pity or peace...not ever. This is no mental disability to merely be understood and excused. If you find that "horrible" I invite you to take your own advice...whatever that actually was. Peace

My ex fiancé was one but it’s weird he has empathy for certain people and others he is vicious. So I believe you really have to observe them detailedly. I hope this helps

@MentalHealness Thank you! I called him out on everything, and his reply was whatever. And I didn't reply. The only reason I had him unblock was I had told him never to text me again. If he did I was going to get him for harassment. I did see him with his new girl at fair last night at demo derby. I was with a guy friend of mine.
