this is kind of beautiful to me, nardwuar finally getting the recognition he deserves from a respected artist, and that artist getting some much-loved vinyls in return.
It’s sad nard won’t get the title he deserves until after his passing he is truly the greatest interviewer or journalist of all time he does his work and you can tell how impressed the person is
Interviewers have just convinced people that there’s a proper way to conduct interviews. So because he’s unconventional they write him off immediately despite the fact that he’s done more research, asks better questions, and is all in all just the better interviewer out of all them.
@@RU-vidremovesallmycommentswho exactly writes him off? Genuine question, I have no idea. The guy is clearly second to none in his field. And I haven’t done research on the guy outside of the comment section on his interviews on RU-vid. Just judging strictly on that, the guy is beloved and respected.
@@chrisramsey4926 in his early days basically everyone wrote him off. Look at his interview with sonic youth. He only became beloved once he started working with the hip hop and rap scenes, they appreciated his eccentricity but that was not the case from the get go. Even today there are people that don’t really care for nardwaur but now that he’s become more popular and the interviews tend to go viral they’ll still do the interview
@@chrisramsey4926just watch any of his interviews from the 90s and early 2000s. Blur, Slipknot, Henry Rollins, although he came around at the end, Krist from Nirvana, some brunette girl I’ve never heard of, sonic youth, and many more treated him like trash.
