all of them have admitted and said many times on tour that they listen to all kinds of genres not just metal and the lead singer corey taylor has tweeted at many rappers wanting to colab with them and even did a collab with tech9 I believe it was and corey recently did a colab with a rapper

I think this is actually the most affable interview I've ever seen done with Clown. Normally he's always being very dark, sad and morbid. Here he's actually engaging. He's making jokes and not calling this guy names or talking about being depressed.

Well, earlier in his career they didn't, but if you look at his interviews now they really do respect him. This one is a exception in that Slipknot tries so hard to not give a shit, but it just makes them seem like assholes imo

Now thats what I call a pro journalist. Like him or not, you can disagree with his style, but he sure is professional: having the facts right, doing proper research, using neutral/proper language. Seeing so many "bad interviews" (that are actually unprofessional people trying to get anything interesting out of artists) I believe this should be the standard.

It's like saying Justin Beiber or One Direction is great cause how successful they are. Slipknot is the most bashed metal band because their music is bland and is entry level music. That's why they're so popular cause 15 year olds can't process the greatness of bands like Tool, Mastodon, King Crimson, or Isis. Today's generation of music and their fan demographics are just terrible and are destroying the music industry.
