Without any hesitation and with complete professionalism, MNPD officers responded to reports of an active shooter at The Covenant School Monday morning.
All 5 members should get medals. They all have done such an amazing job. They just had different roles so not all of them had the opportunity to shoot. MEDALS FOR ALL 5.
@@randycastillo4530 Nobody is suggesting any such thing. ALL of these brave heroes should get medals and in my personal, opinion, HUGE money bonuses $$$
I wouldn't fall for this event quite so fast,...let's look at a few reasons why: ~ Why did the Nashville P.D. release the 'bodycam' footage so quickly, during a pending investigation, when under normal situations, it takes well over a month for authorities to release the footage? ~ If you're going to produce a PHONY shooting,......can you at least make sure the 'dead suspect' is wearing the same shoes they were wearing after they entered the building with a prop gun in a pre-evacuated school? ~ How did police know immediately that the 'shooter' was 'transgender? Did they look down their pants? ~ And lastly, with all that being said, who do YOU think is the real victim here?-------YOU ARE. ..........this was nothing more than a police training exercise that went live in the media. Why do you think News Channel 5 has been hammering out hundreds of propaganda videos related to this event??
How come the other officer also seen in action was not mentioned? The one without head gear and also the 1st one to barge in. His room clearing pace gave me an adrenaline overload.
Shoutout to the officer who entered first with the shotgun and lead the way during most of the situation. He did not fire a round so he is not receiving as much attention.
@@tele68 He is first in the school, first to clear a room, clears multiple rooms, heads to the stairwell, first to the second floor, first down the main hallway and first towards the gun fire in the last hallway. He just didnt shoot. The shotgun was primarily for door breaching.
@@drayne3750 Yes. And I'm thinking he's fine without the special recognition. Probably doesn't want it. I just hope he gets a couple days off to recuperate.
@@tele68 Not just as. Actually more vulnerable since in his hurry he didn't bother to put on head gear. Just an additional measure of fearlessness that deserves special mention." Probably doesn't want it" - says who? says the pompous one.
ALL the officers need to be honored. They All were there, ALL at risk, ALL ready and having to pull that trigger and take a life and give their life . Yes I understand that 2 actually did, but they ALL went in ,they ALL lived that hell . God Bless them ALL
As a teacher, I am so thankful for you saving innocent lives! As a mom, my heart and prayers go out to the families 😢 and as a daughter of a father in blue, heck yes! You define heroism! 💪

I loved the fact that one of my brother Marines was leading the charge with Rex as his wingman. This is the shit we live for, and will die doing it. OOH RAH!!!!!!! and Semper Fi.

Every single one of these officers are heroes Who knows how many more innocent people would’ve died if the police didn’t respond to the shooting and take the gunman out If any of the officers that responded to this tragedy are reading this comment right now thank you for doing your job and saving as many people as possible God bless you all

@@ashleypg1708 it certainly is. I can only hope that these types of crimes subside. But if they don’t swift justice by police on scene will be carried out for a permanent solution in each circumstance.
@@MadMax31577 with all due respect, never said every police officer is a hero, never said every police officer is not a hero. I said these officers did their job and in fact did a great job. What’s your point?
There's a few others that were with them that need to be recognized. The fella with the very short dark hair, holding the shot gun, he needs to be recognized also. The couple cops in uniform that were with them need to be recognized. Rex and Michael were amazing but this was a group effort, the recognition shouldn't be about the 2 who shot the shooter, the other officers protecting them and following them into danger need to be spoken about. They are all AMAZING

All first responders who go into the most active situation are fabulous. Each one is going into a life threatening situation. And the Dems wanted to defund them. That is cruelty. Look at how young they are. And they are polite. God bless them and everyone involved in this horrible tragedy. What a wonderful family of that police officer. A great example of love and caring .
officer Rex is the ONLY HERO!!! watch all of the body cam from both officers.Officer Rex is running, pushing other cops OUT of his way and running past them, putting himself 1st! when he heard the shots upstairs he ran PAST 5... FIVE officers! one on the stairs who just gets out o his way, when he gets upstairs he merges w/ 4 more police one of which is officer Callazo who is SHOOTING at ??? nothing in the hall way because he hears shots, he sees Officer Rex & waves him to go in front of him, Officer Rex then stands steady, aims, and fires 3 shots takes down shooter (pretty sure she was dead) stands still, stops shooting! now unless there is some LAW that says ONLY guys w/ riffles can go 1st (which I can not imagine, it would seem who ever can stop the bad guy 1st should do it) and if there is some kind of ?law? why didn't officer Callazo grab his riffle from get go or take someone else's? he was behind someone the whole way until shooter was daed! watch officer Callazo body cam, he is putting other cops IN FRONT of him, shouts to the cop behind him to go 1st "riffle 1st, RIFFLE FIRST! blue go/go/GO/GO! while he is SHOVING him in FRONT! then the next cop he puts his hand on his shoulder pushing him & says "go straight" then 2nd fl doorway grabs the guys shoulder yelling "keep pushing" again as he pushes him in front, it seems he is always keeping guys in FRONT of him the whole way! then he waves Officer Rex to go ahead of him, which he does, AFTER Officer Rex takes out shooter, officer Callazo tells the 2 cops in front of him "move move" "watch out watch out" it doesn't seem like he can actually see her clearly and then he starts shooting like a crazy man, screaming at her to "stop moving," "move your hand away from the gun," she is DEAD! can not move anything! & pretty sure the shots he fired at close range made her dead body move, jump on impact, pretty sure Officer Rex killed her! judging by the way her leg is bust backwards & she doesn't seem to be moving or screaming in pain...anyway seems to me like officer Callazo was "showboating" coming in like he was the guy...he wasn't! Officer Rex was!!! just keeping it real! props to ALL of the police they all showed up to "PROTECT AND SERVE" BRAVO!!! HOWEVER, Officer Rex Engelbert just happen to be the BEST! the fastest, the most fearless, the one who STOPPED the shooter! he is "THE" HERO! thus I don't think officer M Collazo should get any special acknowledgments, he does NOT deserve anything MORE special than any of the other guys out there, they ALL did their job! RESPECT to ALL of them!! AND Officer Rex is "THE" HERO!" and deserves ALL the GLORY/REWARDS!!! I am NOT disrespecting any of them, they ALL certainly did their job and should be very proud! esp after the Uvalde shooting
You are definitely making a very good point. I have watched the video on loop and I completely agree with you. REX IS THE MAN. THE ALPHA. He is the one who showed the most courage and led from the front fearlessly. Yes, Officer Colazzo was pushing others in front of him while T-Rex was hurtling past everyone, as if he couldn't wait to hunt down the monster. REX is the one who deserves the MOST credit. Beyond a shadow of doubt.

Pardon my wording but I just find it so sad that the way the cops handled the uvalde shooting was such a let down that we’re praising cops for what they should be doing for every school shooting, it’s their job to protect and serve, so to me these men are very brave obviously more brave then most but they aren’t heroes this is their job so I would hope they’d rush in and stop the threat.
True. I actually believe BECAUSE of the horrific failure Uvalde was (among several other school shooting response failures), this department is getting praised & recognized as heroes. They train for this, this is their job, and I am sure that's exactly what these officers would say in response to all this attn. But, I do believe we need to bring attention to this response, set a real example of how it should be done. Every single time. THIS is how you save lives.
Its easy to say its their job..but each operation likes these are spontaneous and random..how well you are trained helps but so many things that could go wrong...better not to compare..
The other 1000 Mass school shootings were heterosexual men must like the 98% of rapes against little boys and girls and the ninety-nine percent of children that get beat the f****** at home
Why are you not reporting the text messages and the 911 call that came from the shooter’s friend? The seven minutes that she was put on hold with 911. The seven minutes that could’ve save lives, including the suicidal shooter. And no one wants to talk about the fact that people did reach out for help to stop this. You need to acknowledge that, rather than trying to cover it up and brush it under a rug like it didn’t happen.

It seemed so sad that the girl from the highland park massacre on vacation in Nashville to see her BFF that was victim of the waffle house massacre became witness to the Covenant massacre..... And the poor young journalist girl breaking down on national TV with flashbacks from her gradeschool massacre experience..... It's atrocious these massacres are......
Thank you, gentlemen, for doing your job so diligently. This loser who chose to take these great people's lives will have to answer to God Almighty. You guys are heroes, and again, THANK YOU FOR RUNNING TO THE SHOOTING AND PUTTING YOUR LIVES IN DANGER.

It doesn’t matter if it’s their job or not? Since you are so concerned about “their jobs” why weren’t the uvalde officers doing *their jobd* properly despit having more than 377 officers? You know why, because you need balls and courage and not many people have that. They need to be praised a whole alot. 6 are dead and more could’ve died if it was for these officers.
