What chapter in the sixth edition do they detail overactive and Underactive muscles? Or is it spread out through the book?

P.A. Gutierrez 4 you’re welcome. That page is literally the go to for the NASM CPT exam. A lot of questions revolve around muscle over active and under active. Reading 5,6,7, 14 and appendex E, Covers a lot of what you need to know to pass your exam. Know the basics of the opt model and what exercises go into each stage and any modifications (hoe to make them easier or harder) go with them. Example: a single leg balance is an exercise done the stabilization level of opt. Also know the overheat squat assessment and what muscles are overactive with any compromises in the squat. Page 196 for the overactive chart. Yes there’s questions about the other assessments but the overhead squat is their focus. You just want to know the basic reasons for the other assessments. Davies rest for upper body agility and coordination. shark is lower body agility and so on. Those things are the predominant questions. Study those thoroughly and the rest of the book you can just rely on the CPT study guide (part of online package once you purchase the certification course) that breaks down the test into the 6 domains. Other than that you’re golden

Straight to the point and the important shit. Thank you so much. I am 10 days out and just want to get this thing over with lol. I've already coached people and have my CFL1, previously owned a gym prior to service so I have a good feeling I should be able to pass. I just want to make sure I am studying the right stuff because there is so much information just to be focused on very certain things. I appreciate you.

Take a deep breath bro! If you have only two weeks and are able to put aside 3-4 concentrated hours a day. Maybe even a little less, you can crush it. Focus on the main things I talked about in the video and be sure to start taking those practice exams 4-5ish days out and marking the questions you get wrong. That will help you know what sections you need to revisit. Also, many of the questions are almost the exact same, just worded different. You got this shit! Lmk how it goes and stay driven brotha.

So I'm a senior in college right now with a full schedule of 6 courses, and I only have until 10/24 to take my exam. Any suggestions on how to study well in short spurts?
@nickwholesome
@nickwholesome 3 года назад
What's up man! I'm a senior in college as well. What I do that works incredibly well is a concept I learned from a book called "The One Thing" (Highly recommend) and Darren Hardy. Remove literally all distractions possible for 60-90 minutes (phone on airplane mode), set a timer on your phone and do not get up until the time's up. It will take about 20 minutes to get into a flow state without the distractions and then you'll start to see some serious focus power come into play!
@PwnageByAwesome
