I served with this man in Afghanistan in 2012. He is one hell of a man, and I like many others, feel honored and priveleged to have served with him. To SFC Fair, Fury From the Sky, All the Way, AIRBORNE!

I couldn't make it through Dress Blues the first few times I had heard it. The album came out about a year after I had ended my tour in Afghan and I just couldn't handle all those emotions that I never had time to fully deal with, they just all came out with that song.

Nathan Fair is my uncle. My mother's brother. I've always been a supporter and I love him so much. Hes been such a great role model, if I've never been a good model of his sacrifice and compassion. I'll always be his number one fan. I've never known another man that I've ever envied and loved more than him. He truly is to me a treasure. He just shows the depth of a man of character and integrity. Love you Nate. I'll always listen and hope one day to make you proud. You are a hero to everyone you come across. Keep strong. Voice is out of sync, but other than that great video. I want you to know how much these videos mean to me. I was raised in a military family. Last night I got news that one of my close military friends committed suicide. It just means a ton to me!

I know this is older, but one thing you always seem to leave out, the nurses that died. We had soldiers that never came back, but we had nurses that didn't come back either. Vets get a special funeral they get certain things. Rachel never did, she never got a thank you for what she did. Alot of them didn't even know they were going to Nam, until it was to late.

I never served but to all that did and is currently serving I Thank You from the bottom of my heart! I know those two words will never be enough to pay yall back but I will always be grateful for the sacrifices yall made and are making as well as your families sacrifices! My one wish is that every single soldier who is dealing with PTSD or just struggling with things in general has someone that they can talk to or go to for help without feeling ashamed or less than. Even if they don't wanna talk you can sit there in silence next to them and show them that you care and you're gonna be there fighting with them with whatever battles they are going through!! THEY FOUGHT FOR US SO WE NEED TO FIGHT FOR THEM!!!

this Memorial day i will be honoring all of my Brothers and Sisters who have paid the ultimate price. Stg "Doc" James and the others have been on my mind all week. i hope they know how much i miss them and what an Honor and a Privilege it was to serve with them. i hope they are waiting for me on the other side. so this Memorial day i will fire up the grill and drink a few cold ones like we did back in the day in your honor. No… no it wasn’t. I wrote this song and made the video, and years later the documentary was made and the former tomb guard asked if he could use it for the documentary and I said yes.

So if you didn't know, this song, dress blue, was about a boy, Matthew Conley, a student from Rogers High school who was deployed at the age of 18 then killed before returning home. Our school, Rogers, has a Conley memorial and we can all recall the flags lined up along the highway we used in memory of Conley. Me being a student at Rogers, I am honored to say that I'm glad for Jason's genorosity because he also went to Rogers. Rip Matt Conley ♥️♥️

Regarding the last video by VI Seconds. I will say, I've never been a real fan of rap.I did listen however. I could have gone without the language, but I understand that is part of the genre and the message. I really liked it. I could feel his pain and emotion in the words he was saying, further proven by the end of the video. I think most everyone could relate to the feelings he was portraying on some level. I empathize with him so much. Thank you, Billy for reacting to this video. You have brought new music to my attention and reminded me how important it is to be genuine with the people I love.

Zac does a great job with the song, but my friend Jason Isbell is the original writer and performer of this song. His version is, to me, better. Both are "in dem feels" songs.
