Mark, please make new videos on this channel. You are the only one in whole vision improvment community who can explain things so detailed and so good. Thank you for your efforts, i really appreciate your work. Greetings from Sweden
I think your theory is actually a fact. From my own personal research and correcting my own myopia, I have found that you are thee most knowledgeable and correct.
One month ago I began these daily vision exercises and today I returned to my eye doctor, who tests my vision at each visit. (I’m currently undergoing treatment for severe, untreatable dry eye.) I didn’t tell the nurse about the exercises. When I was done reading the lines on the eye chart she told me that I read two more lines than last time and vision in my right eye improved from 20/30 to 20/20 in the past four weeks! I was so excited I’m not sure I heard correctly, but I believe my left eye went from 20/40 to 20/30. These exercises really work! So grateful for this video.
There is no such thing as untreatable dry eye. You can cure your dry eyes yourself. Increase your intake of natural vitamin A (not synthetic). Do this by eating lots of butter (raw butter is best...get it from a farmer), liver, (you can get liver capsules if you don't want to eat the real thing), cod liver oil. Get a juicer and make fresh raw carrot juice. Order castor oil eye drops online and use it every night and throughout the day.
Mark, thank you for making this available to the world. You are right. I had scoffed at the notion of being able to improve one's vision - just a natural skeptic - UNTIL it happened to me entirely by chance. My new glasses had been killing the bridge of my nose, so I'd taken to doing without them and just suffering a fuzzy world for long periods of time. I was just enjoying a cup of coffee outdoors when I had one of those "flashes" in my right eye. For like 30 seconds, it saw the world in 20/20, BETTER than with my glasses. BUT, I was squealing the whole time - LOL. It felt like someone had stuck a pin into my right eye - that ciliary muscle, as I later learned. But here's the kicker: I knew when it happened exactly what that sensation was. In my younger days, I had spent 5 years bodybuilding. I knew too well what a locked muscle feels like when it finally loosens. That "stretch" - and, yes, it IS a stretch - has a signature sensation, and that was it I felt that day. Unfortunately, I haven't put the same discipline into my vision as I did my biceps and quads (YET), but, even being lazy about it, I have earned myself a weaker prescription in glasses. I really should make more of a goal of improving my vision. Thank you for lighting a fire under my a**. I probably needed it. :)
@@SuenosDePaz7 I really have no idea, as I wasn't trying to do anything at the time. I like to take my coffee outside in the mornings to hear the birds while I "come alive". It may have had to do with not being entirely awake yet. I wasn't trying to see anything at all, especially without my glasses on. I was just listening to the birds, sipping my coffee, and enjoying the blur. Without my glasses, the entire world is like walking through a living, breathing Picasso or Monet, nothing but light, shadow, and color - LOL. Maybe, it was because I wasn't looking at "objects" but, rather, at their characteristics - curved, straight, light, dark, dappled, shiny, dull, blue, red, silver, etc. Don't know, but that's the only thing I can think of that it might have been and pretty much how I approached future efforts to duplicate it. After the first few times it happened in each eye, there wasn't a sharp pain anymore, just a discomfort or weirdness, like there might be a tiny piece of dust in my eye when there isn't. Now, I've learned to feel the difference with my eyelids when blinking. When it's working, I can tell the absence of a myopic lump beneath them as they blink... which is also kinda freaky.
@@onedominant it’s weird you say this b/c i’ve always had a “pressure” under my eyelids. it’s not painful but it’s definitely noticeable. it’s so much a part of who I am I take it for granted. I will keep doing these techniques as I am convinced they work. I don’t know exactly what caused my myopia but I was always a “tunnel visioned” studious student who was not one to smell the roses or appreciate the full plane of peripheral vision. Carried a lot of tension in numerous places. Has your vision improved significantly overall by changing the way you see ?
@@SuenosDePaz7 Well, as mentioned, I'm pretty lazy about it, as in just doing a minimum - a bare minimum. I did shave 0.25 diopters off my prescription, and I have prevented any further decline in my vision for several years so far. The glasses I wore 12 years ago are still too strong for me. So, guess I'm on what one might call a "maintenance program"? I know, if I made the effort, it would make a difference. I just have a job that's virtually 24/7 now (hating it), so I have time for nothing for myself. :( I'm looking for another job, yes. Nobody should have to live this way. I haven't been able to eat lunch in over a year.
It was the easiest way I could think of to explain exactly what I feel when the muscles relax and move in my eyes. In the beginning I never felt the muscles, but I've become even more observant and now I feel them move all the time!

Dear Mark, THANK YOU!!!! I am starting with all your exercises today! I know that you speak the truth and I finally have found the right way of clearing my vision. so far I am -4 on both eyes and astigmatism on both, and within the last year and a lot of computer and phone activities my eyes suddenly got a lot worse. So I refuse to believe I need them corrected even further as I truly feel that it is a mental issue and I should be able to see clearly, anyone should. i have tried so many things and watched so many videos, but now I only watched two of your videos and I am already so grateful and absolutely certain that now I am on the right way, and I will heal my eyesight. THANK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART and lots of love and music from Vienna, Irmi
Clear flashes mean KEEP GOING YOU ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK. Ignore those who doubt. They are only validating their own lack of faith in the process and perseverance.
For me, this awarness of depth is working, I actually feel like I've unlocked a hidden super power - well being able to see clear feels like a super power.

@@harshittiwari4529 i think you use rocking "only" its because you just use only one technique, so your eye muscle go tense and even you focus to relax it cant get clear flashes
@@harshittiwari4529 i recommend you learn "triangulation" and "lensing" because those 2 technique depend each other and because if you use triangulation you see multiple object and see movement but it can disrupt your concentration if your lenses change position unconsciously (but you dont need to control your lens, let your mind know if its moving and dont stop your lense move or you might get another eye muscle tense), thats why you adjust the triangulation method inside your eye to match the place where the lenses stay so you need a large imagination so dont worry i can see clear flashes in this method and better take a lot of patience and determination because the "rocking" method is just the tip of the iceberg and our eye like multicasting in relax sensation that is why it get tearing and clear flashes
I did a search for "improve vision" on RU-vid. Found you. SUBSCRIBED. I'm convinced that vision problems today are primarily lifestyle and diet issues. I will ck out your vids. I'm willing to try long-term.
Hello Mark, I hope you're doing well. Thank you for sharing your experiences and what you have learned. I started my journey only two days ago, but I already noticed some things you mentioned. When I went for a run this morning, I focused on the trees alongside the road and cars moving by. I blinked a lot, but eventually I had a clear flash for a few seconds, even though my eyes weren't watery at the time, all without glasses or contacts of course. I also wanted to say you're great at teaching. You keep things simplified and easy to understand for everyone, even though you share a lot of information and important details. Greetings from the Netherlands!
I haven't really established a routine yet. Like I said I'm only two days in, so I haven't had much time to try things. But yeah I think I'll mostly do it in the morning as it gets dark early where I live. I have had tired eyes and a very slight burning stingy sensation in my eyes, do/did you experience this in the beginning as well?
I’m a new subscriber. You describe the eye training process so clearly. I’m so thankful I found you. I’m subscribed to both channels now. I look forward to watching you more often
Clear flashes better than hot flashes :) I have had clear flashes when I was doing an online course and had to read a thick textbook, and my eyes had started going presbyopic. However, I just kept at it, and then I started getting clear flashes while looking at the words. I was amazed. I kept reading and by the end of that class I had no problem reading books again. So I know it's not a predetermined thing, we don't have to just accept the deterioration of eyes with age...necessarily.
Yo guys this guy is right, this is the only legit method that is real. I am 1 year experienced in doing this. But the first three months i followed his method, i reduced 0.5 diopters per month but then i stopped following his method so it got really slow, didn't stop. Well i am from -2.75 and -1.75 with 0.25 astigmatism to -0.75 in both eyes. Now i am following this again because i got my answers!, If i followed this religiously i would be 20/20 by now
More than ever I feel that oxygen is the fuel of vision. Without it, we can't keep the "clear flashes" for a long time. And when we get a clear flash, we instinctively hold our breath to be able to admire the moment, so the moment goes also with the clear flash. I noticed that shortsighted people have something in common: a bad rhythm of breathing, which is always interrupted when doing anything, even simple tasks like when turning the head to the side, moving their arms and so on. Every single movent, can't do two things at the same time. Can't keep exhaling or inhaling while doing other thing. Always doing small hiccups in the breathing pattern, like have to pay a toll. This is the most difficult task, maintaining breathing rhythm all the time, no matter how important the task is.
@@harshittiwari4529 I believe that you are trying to make this happen mechanically; in other words, you want to see the clear flash at the same time that you don't. "You want to open your hand while keeping it closed" Two forces fighting each other. To have a clear flash you need to do something (conscious or not) to enter parasympathetic mode. Even if it is for seconds. Although there are no shortcuts, you can start by singing a song while dancing. Or you can do the exercise that Mark proposes rocking or the Long Swing while you focus on your breathing, moving in a tiny movement your jaw to the left or to the right while open or closing your fingers or, a continuous slighltly head movement. But, if you really want to change something for real then you literally need to start at your feet, then go to your knees, then pelvis, then rib cage and so on. The best way to have clear flashes is to walk, moving.
Hi Mark, I have developed a technique that incorporates aspects of relaxing the eye, peripheral triangulation (and mobile movement when moving). I discovered this technique by practicing stationary movement and realized that I could relax my eyes without having to necessarily move my head from side to side or up and down. In short, I basically just let everything go blurry and relax my eyes. By doing this I've noticed that my field of vision naturally opens up and I can easily things in my periphery. In your free guide you say that blurry vision and sometimes double vision can be a symptom of ciliary muscles releasing or trying to release. Therefore, it seems that this technique that I will call "relaxing and letting things go blurry" might help me achieve some sort of ciliary release. What I've noticed is that holding this blurred and wider field of vision feels relaxing at first, but if I try to hold this state for too long I start to notice some eyestrain. When I let go, I see sharper compared to my "blurred and relaxed" state. But this is not 20/20 sharpness, it's just my regular myopic vision which is better than this "blurred and relaxed" vision I can induce through this technique. The second option I have when practicing this technique, is to relax and blur my vision (to see more things in my peripheral) and let go at the moment I start noticing strain. I then repeat this over and over letting my eyes go to and from a relaxed, wider and blurrier vision and my focused default state my eyes want to be in. This sort of speaks to what you were saying this this video. The sort of releasing and contracting of the ciliary muscle. I will therefore, experiment between these two variations of this technique. Tangentially, my question is as follows: is the eyestrain I am experience from trying to relax too much (or release or stretch out my ciliary muscle for too long) something you've experienced? If not I am maybe not on right path. Thanks for all your guidance and hard work!
Hi Marco, I have experience something similar to what you are describing. When we want to achieve something, we are sometimes do not let ourselves experience setbacks. When we exercise at the gym, the exercising makes us weak, but if we let ourselves rest afterwards, we eventually become stronger than we were at first. There seems to be the same behavioral issue people experience when trying to fix their vision. That is, some times the vision temporarily becomes worse before becoming better. That usually happens when people try to let go of controlling their vision. That sometimes scares people and they refuse letting go of controlling their eyes as a result. But this is not to be feared but accepted. It is like a leap of faith. I am having difficulty understanding your technique since you describe it in a contradictory way. You call it "relaxing and letting things go blurry", but you also state that you are "holding it" and then you "let go" of that state. It seems that you are describing "forced relaxation". But is that really relaxation? You say that you don't move your head while in this state. Are you staring when you are doing this? From I understand is that you were disengaging central fixation and engaging peripheral vision. But if your gaze did not change, this would mean that your were staring. Staring, contextually, could be helpful. i have heard heard of EndMyopia practitioners using short-term staring to resolve double vision. So perhaps what you are doing, slightly strains your eyes and causes them to become relaxed afterwards.
@@aichujohnson8444 Hi Aichu, yes, the first variation is where I try to keep my vision blurry for as long as possible before letting go. In way, you could call this forced, but the first few seconds are relaxing, my eyes only start to strain after 10-20 seconds of keeping my vision blurry. Ultimately you are right, in a way the first variation isn't really relaxation, because it produces strain as I try to keep my vision blurry. The second variation of my technique seems to be closer to what Mark calls "automatic focus". Instead of trying to "force" my vision to stay blurry, I let my eyes come in and out of focus. So I start the same way as the first variation. I simply let my vison relax, go blurry and notice my peripheral vision. Things will be blurry for a while, but then I feel like my eyes will want to clear up the picture a little for an instant to avoid any strain, so I let that happen. Then I allow my eyes to go back to blurry vision. In this second variation, my eyes feel less strained because I am just letting listening to eyes, doing what makes them feel less strained, not trying to force blurry vision and not trying to clear things up either. You could call it the path of "least strain". Also sometimes with this second variation, this coming in and out of focus will happen very quickly. The object I am looking at will sort of flash or grow then shrink very quickly. With regards to movement I can use both variations while starring at an object or while moving. However, this second variation works better with the rocking technique and the stationary/mobile movement technique, as my eyes naturally want to clear up the image after I complete a movement (say once I have completed the movement of turning my head from left to right, my vision clears up a little for an instead before turning my head back the other way). In short, during the movement, my vision is blurry, but once a movement is complete, I can get clearer vision.
I experienced everything you mentioned but something that happens to me is that getting 20/20 flashes was relatively easy at the beginning but after a month it became more difficult to get them even though my vision was sharpening constantly. Did you notice something similar?
@@sanher20 Unfortunately I haven't gotten a full 20/20 clear flash yet, so you seem to be further along than me. Hopefully I can get one soon if I can get more consistent. Glad to hear you are experiencing the same things as me with regards to exercises and habits.
I noticed something very common when it comes to restoring vision: past experiences. . Even reading comments on several videos I could see what people say about emotional traumas. . I even understand this obsession with healing the emotional side, looking in the matrix structure of the mind searching for the meaning of our current "character". . But honestly, I believe more than ever that our own body is our subconscious mind. Everything (images, sounds, smells, flavours, touching, feelings) is storage in it. . "A sound mind in a sound body", the opposite also is true "A sound body in a sound mind". . Perhaps we copied some phase of our parents as a mimic, that is, we downloaded the configuration / condition of the way that our mother or father reacted to the life situations at a certain stage of his / her life. Most of the body posture of people with visual problems look like a victim of the destiny, victim of the world or victim of something or someone. . For example, I learned to walk in a way that makes it impossible for my legs to move up and down. What I mean I have a habit of dragging my legs, carrying my legs when walking. Not using the true potential of my legs. . I heard a lot of my father telling me to stop dragging my slippers in my childhood. That I was supposed to step on the floor, not drag my feet across the floor. . And my mother has vascular problems in her legs, I probably believe that I thought that was the right way to walk because I saw her preventing her from hurting her own leg. Even though I was born, my parents were already middle aged so I didn't have much of an example of being someone active, physical exercises and such. . I mean that we need to exorcise the type of character that we inherited from our parents, in order to be able to learn to see better with a better body. . After many months on this journey, I was able to understand that vision is just a sum of several factors and the biggest one is how our body deals with *gravity all the time* . And when someone says that we need to go to the past and resolve our traumas thoughts I think is not necessary, because we got into this thing of thoughts and traumas to feel safe in relation to our inability to deal with the planet's gravity.
I agree with this. I discover my childhood trauma causing the condition of ourself right now. I choose to heal my past and now I have the way to get my eyes normal again
There are two modes in the nervous system: receptive and active. the eyes must be in receptive mode at all time. it is very difficult to get clear flashes or crystal clear in "active" mode. sometimes you can be caught by surprise and enter receptive mode and get a clear flash or crystal clear. If you can understand what got you into receptive mode, then you can repeat that again, then another. Generally, we go into receptive mode when we use the body, in a different way, when we forget to follow a pattern and starting to operate in a natural way. many people need to silence their inner voice saying "BE CAREFUL". "LOOK WHAT YOU ARE DOING". "PAY ATTENTION". "OUTSIDE IS A DANGEROUS PLACE". they need to be courageous and strong, no regrets, "move on" without fear, with faith! this internal dialogue is preventing you all from unlocking the potential of your natures. These voices demand a defensive behavior from you, which limits your real movements. Some of you think that you will become deadpan or poker face, that you will lose your "personalities" that made you, that you "build with effort". This is another limiting belief. People who wear glasses are full of certainties and limiting beliefs.
I'm doing Endmyopia and I should have watched this sooner but I was one of those people that wrote off clear flashes as little flukes and I should work more on active focus so to speak. But I'm getting tons of clear flashes. One after another. The best way to trigger them is to go outside in the daytime. They trigger every 10 to 20 seconds for me then. Inside not so much though. I think your explanation of what's going on makes sense.
Your the only good Myopia helper all the others make you pay but your great and also I get those clear flashes also but usually in the summer, anyways thank you so much 😊
Watching Walkthrough videos through cities here on RU-vid gives us the feeling of moving with smooth, rhythmic, wide vision, baby steps, using our glutes in tune, to move our legs. When the glutes are weak or out of tune, the shoulders and torso tire very quickly, we end up putting our strength excessively on the knees forcing the shoulders to fall forward and to balance this mistake we fight an internal struggle not to fall. We end up tired, out of breath, walking becomes tiring.

Take breaks and look at something in the distance to give your eyes a rest.
Hey Mark, great video. I already had some success with improving my myopia thanks to you and other sources I found. But could you also make a video about Astigmatism? While my Myopia has improved I have struggled much more with my Astigmatism.
I have astigmatism issues and i can say that i know for a fact that i never give my eyes time to rest since i use my phone and computer a lot,but this can also improve astigmatism,i believe it just takes more time than myopia itself,i believe a combination of using Marks techniques and just giving your eyes breaks can help,my eyes are always red and have eye strains because of this and i believe if i can get enough of a break and let my eyes heal my astigmatism can be way less if not gone
I will be doing a video on astigmatism. You first have to understand how you getting an astigmatism before you can start fixing it. Fixing it just involves doing the techniques I've already talked about. The hard part is understanding that it will take time and patience!

Physically a muscle contracts becoming shorter, not viceversa. My theory is the opposite: the eye shortens because external muscles contract, while myopic bulbs have those muscles atrophied.

If you are doing everything correctly clear flashes will be very frequent (every couple of seconds you should see them) and they will quickly push average quality of vision up. If however people will not fix the root cause of eye muscle strain, then clear flashes will be very rare and you can even experience pain, because when eye muscles will try to relax they will be pulled to their previous lenght by strained neck muscles.

You say you mostly have good vision but sometimes it goes bad if you are stressed etc. Can you specify how good the good vision is and how bad it gets when its not as good or when you are stressed in terms of numbers like when your stressed can you still see clear enough for daily life. Thanks.
Mark, when you have some time (and I know you don't have so much), you should look into David Webber - Seeing Clearly. He managed to NOT get blind from Uveitis using some ideas from Bates Method and Feldenkrais Method. At some point, he mentions that some ideas from Bates Method are good, but the Bates Method is not that practical - too time consuming I think he says. Don't get discouraged by the fact he is wearing glasses - I forgot exactly the situation, but he can't see without the eyeglasses because he doesn't have a specific part of the eye (it was removed during an operation). The idea is the same: you need to relax your eyes.
I hope you understand that this sounds really unimaginable for people who wear glasses for 30 years as you did. We learn everywhere it's impossible without surgery or lasik because eyes are physically damaged and that everything else is scam. Your biggest + is that you look trustworthy and you got those other videos with glasses on. I hope I can motivate myself to do this focus background stuff regularly and if it really goes down by 1 dioptre or more in next 3 months you would be the greatest hero of my life for sure.
I had my first real interesting moment: I watched the raindrops on my work window and then I got stings in both eyes. I kept waiting and I started to see more raindrops on the window and they were pretty sharp. Then I switched focus and saw everything outside a lot clearer. Not 100% as with glasses but way better than normal. Kept this up for at least a minute. 10 minutes later i checked my wall calendar with no tears in eyes and was still able to read from some feets farther back as usual last weeks. Thanks for your channel! I will keep on.

The less I started wearing my glasses, I was convincing my body and brain otherwise. I found every time I put on my glasses after having long periods of clarity, I would have to work twice as hard to get back to the moment the next time. That's when I realized I was stalling my progress by telling myself I still needed glasses when I wasn't working on my vision. If you have gotten clear flashes, you can already see perfectly fine. It's just a matter of convincing your brain and body that it's true. As for the double vision, for me it was a matter of getting the brain to fine tune what you're seeing. I found the more I stared at the solid and most clear part of the image, the shadow went away.
Hello Mark When i relax my eye, body and brain i get flash but i get falsh in my right eye only and it is getting better but my left eye is going weaker and weaker. What i do to get flash in my broth eye?
hey Mark, great video....question here....Are you planning to visit the DMV soon to get your driver's license restriction removed? (of course if you believe you can see 20/40 without any corrections)
Has anyone else experienced multiple ghosting with the image you are focusing on? I’m at -7 dpr and just started these techniques a couple days ago. I’ve noticed today that I was able to have a sharp, albeit slightly transparent, image when looking across the room about 20 ft. However there were about 4 to 5 of the images that each had a sharp outline. This was without glasses or contacts. I was looking at the chain links from my gaming chandelier and could clearly make out each link, unheard of just two days ago! But there wasn’t just the single chain. It was multiplied and I could not determine which was most dominant so I felt my eyes moving from one to another as I gazed at the edges of the links. I also found that with a weak pair of glasses, -5 dpr, I believe, I was able to see between 6 to 8 very clear green circles as I looked at my cable service box, which has a green circle of light. Again, I wasn’t able to determine which was the one I should focus on, since they all were about the same brightness and they also would jump around to a different configuration with either more or fewer circles each time I had to blink, which I tried to prevent as long as I could. Has anyone else experienced these phenomena? Do you think it is normal to have that many “ghosts” of the clear images?
Yes, in my opinion is the astigmatism effect. Since I only had astigmatism on my left eye and only left eye gives me this ghost images. But, to be honest its more the brain trying to understand the input from not only the eye, but for all other senses. I read somewhere that brains are blind, the sharpennes and clarity is only 6% on eye muscles. 94% comes from spatial notions, other senses (hear, smell, touch), peripheral field, muscles, myofascia, body position, etc.
When your muscles are not relax do you go back to a your -5 and -4 or do you go back to the -1 that you are at now? And when you say 95% clear vision is that -1 or 20/20 vision?
It's somewhere in between and it can constantly change. I noticed after I got good at getting clear flashes my vision never went fully back to -5. Every time I wore my glasses, I realized they became too sharp. Another thing I noticed is that the blur wasn't the same. It was often sharp but there would be multiple images (double and triple vision) that were misaligned. Continuing to work on the techniques caused the multiple images to be aligned over time.
Hi Mark, this is a great video. When I get a clear flash, is it normal for the ciliary to release but not fully. I've only just started to practice your techniques by the way?
Yes, i am wondering it too. My myopia id reduced with Jake Steiner's active focus method but now i see starbursts. He said it is temporary but i can not get rid of it for months! It cause to incrase my astigmatism.
Hi mark thank you for this Channel I have -7.0 glasses and contacts. I’ve been trying to not wear them as often as possible... but sometimes I have to and I’m scared it negates the effect of not wearing them. Could I keep getting softer prescriptions of contact lenses? Would that work too?
@@AboutTheAirplane well yes , you usually gotta get two pairs of glasses The first one is for distance And the second one is for close up And they both must provide blur You don’t want them sharp but at the same time you don’t want them weak to the point of them being useless , this is from endmyopia btw , so basically you need to reduce 0.25 if you trying to wear glasses , don’t reduce too much , and that means you have to do AF + peripheral vision while wearing the glasses Hope this helped
I have been following you for some time now from Nigeria. I have a question. My practice of your teachings led me to see the 20/20 line on the eye chart. But, I started noticing that after looking at my phone or computer screen, the chart becomes blurred up to four lines above that 20/20 line. What do I do? Thank you for your hats work.
