BLUE TONGUE SKINKs are on my bucket list. I will be interested to see how the plants work out and am curious if indonesians or northerns would be better with plants. I am surprised you didn't let the plants grow in and the soil cool for a while before putting the animal back in there. In the aquarium hobby we keep plants with digging and large fish with 3 strategies. 1. Use epiphytes and mosses 2. Let hardy plants establish themselves before introduction 3. Pot the plants and then surround the root base with rocks too large for the fish to move. Fill in the substrate to conceal the pot. It seems to work. Good luck!

Beautiful set up. I don’t know how it would work but you could potentially use liquid rubber to waterproof the enclosure and therefore prevent rot in the long run

Watching again for inspiration bc I’m getting a third bluey tomorrow. It’s really sad watching this now knowing Skye has passed away. :(

gorgeous set-up! im currently more of a mammal gal (4 rabbits, 2 rats, a cat, and a hamsters atm) but when i eventually expand to reptiles a blue tongue skink is my go to dream lizard

Hey Mike, has a look through your videos and can’t see an update video on any changes you made/extra tips, did toy end up making one or was it perfect the first time? Ours is an Aussie blue tongue (we live there), so just looking for some inspiration. LOVING the tunnels you’ve made, the black is perfect once the substrate is on 😍

Love it, I have wooden vivs too but was worried about high humidity and soil for a wooden tank.. Are you not worried about wood rot? Tend to just stick to the dry desert species as a result. Edit.. BLUE TOUNGE SKINK... I was writing as I was watching 😂😂😂😂
