Christian Howes and Bobby Floyd recorded Nature Boy as a violin and piano duet in 2017 to document the continuation of a 20-year-plus collaboration. Says Christian of his mentor, "Since I met him in 1996, Bobby has taught and inspired me to approach music from the standpoint of spirit and inspiration, groove, swing and blues, and a sense of listening and humility."
Bobby and Christian perform in duo as well as trio or quartet formats, selecting from a repertoire which includes gospel, inspirational, jazz, and popular songs.
Nature Boy was recorded live at Notes in Columbus, Ohio in June 2017. Bobby Floyd plays and endorses Yamaha pianos. Christian Howes endorses Yamaha electric violins.
