What a beautiful and very ancient landscape. Imagine the millions and millions of years it took to erode this landscape down to the beauty it is now.

Thx....I have worked on a ranch in Wyoming with a herd of bison....eight years....brings back memories...very lucky to have had the opportunity and the experience

I visited Teddy Rosevelt Park back in the day and the little house he lived in too. A very peaceful place ❤️

So happy to see this as we just there in September. Pompey's Pillar caught my attention in the Sunday morning piece, although it wasn't part of the RU-vid version. It bears repeating, possibly including some background about Pompey's Pillar.

I live fairly close to Roosevelt's Long Island home. It is filled with trophies like elephant tusks, which today would brand him cruel. He was multidimensional. He could be ecology-minded and a hunter, a Jingoist and a reclusive sort....He was human. It is sad that any good he did has resorted in people tearing down his statues.

Theodore Roosevelt came to North Dakota after the double punch of losing his wife and mother on the same night. He said forever afterward that had he not gone to North Dakota, he never would have become President.
