Your doing good! Exposing the bright spots of L.A. and orange county as well as giving exposure to businesses that I hate to say may need it due to the pandemic. Good job man this whole thing is nothing but a win win!
Yes most definitely a once a month sort of eating all these food outlets . I’m used to meat and 3 veg meals . These are fried , fried and did I say fried
You would think strangers wouldn’t approach others during a pandemic... 🤣 This video was so entertaining. Between Adam’s automobile weight, hungry acorn comment, and awkward “help me” look when the woman approached you guys, I was laughing so much. I’m really digging this series!
That was freaking hilarious! I think she might've just wanted her voice in the video! Adam's face was like, "Who are you and why are you standing so close to me?"
I have tears! I grew up in Long Beach and in the 70’s we had one on Los Coyotes Diagonal. We use to go every Friday night after football game and get a taco salad(the best). It was our all time best eatery. I hope I get back there one day as I have lived in Australia the past 38 years. I’ll go now and reminisce and cry. 😢😁🥰
Kath Hunter we use to go to naugles on los coyotes also every weekend it seemed after fri/sat night parties ,taco salads were so good at 1am. Went to millikan high. 😎
i kinda laughed when Shawn/Sean/Shaun/Shon made sure everyone knew he lived more south. then, it was even more funny when he said why he didn't hang around that area anymore after the lady came by. hahaha
The bun tacos rock. Just like the "bell beefer" that Tao Bell used to have. I just ate at this Naugles the other day and it was great. Naugles was THE late night, after gig place to eat. An egg, bean, and cheese burrito with fries shoved into it soaks up a lot of alcohol. I was crushed when they closed. Damn, now I'm hungry. Great episode. Peace.
Hello Adam. Good review of Stanton eateries! You mentioned the Bun Taco... when Taco Bell first came to Arizona, they offered what they called a Taco Burger. Which was a hamburger bun loaded with taco meat. Like a sloppy joe. It was my favorite item on their menu. The old car replica is cool! Thanks for bringing us along on your adventures! Food looks Really, really good. Have a great week!
“That lady is making friends “ 🤣 funniest thing I heard all day. Bun taco looked goood but I still think the fried chicken and waffles from yesterday is the best so far this week. 👍
Your lunch looked soooo good! It's fun to see what you are doing each day, Adam. Gives us all some hope that there really is stuff to do where one can still socialize, enjoy life and meet up with friends! Keep up the good work, Adam!
Memories of so many great times in the parking lot of the Naugles that I hung out in! The small bean & cheese cup was $.98 and they also sold Mexican Rice for the same price! It was great after hours as well as hangover food back in my day! Happy to hear they are giving it another shot!
Adam, there's an interesting backstory about how Naugles returned. In a nutshell, Del Taco inadvertently let the trademark expire and my friend Christian was able to challenge it in court and acquired the name. Great David and Goliath story. narratively.com/how-one-fast-food-superfan-brought-a-beloved-cult-chain-back-from-the-dead/
Nope@eclemensen, they had to 'reverse engineer' the recipes as the Naugle family wouldn't give them the real ones...so your taste experience may be tinged by 'nostalgia'. Dick Naugle's nephew Jeff Naugle runs BT's Buns & Torts in Visalia WITH the 'secret family recipies'.
@@spencerwelchii573 You took the words right out of my mouth! I was just about to comment on how this place is "Naugles" in name only and DEF not in menu! and that if you want REAL Naugles food you gotta go to BT's in Visalia, CA, which is run by Dick Naugles nephew! Great food there! LOVE the "Old-Fashion" cheeseburger, which was a classic Naugles staple that this place doesn't even have on the menu! This place's menu barely (if at all) resembles the actual Naugles menu. AND you know it's also not a real Naugles when it also lacks Dick Naugles posted motto of "Prepare food fresh. Serve customer fast. Keep place clean!" lol
@@macavitymacavity I’ll be honest, I tried this Stanton Naugles and wasn’t blown away at all. I think it’s mostly Nostalgia for people older than me (I’m 38) that remember the original Naugles. To me this new Naugles food tastes like a cross between Del Taco and Miguel’s Jr. It’s good, but nothing special… the beef in the burritos reminds me of the ground beef and cheese burrito from Bakers Drive Thru.
Very cool!! I used to love naugles!! I didn't even know they were back in business. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their bun tacos. The el taco place you went to the other day looks great too and they have bun tacos too...i got to go try them too! Thanks for posting this!!
The alcove of concrete was a part of a dumpster enclosure, i think. I had almost forgot about Naugles. Those hats and tees are so super retro. Amazing. Such a pretty place to eat, and so peaceful looking. hope you enjoyed.
I enjoyed this one thanks for taking me along adam for the ride always fun as always your always doing something different which I like keep up the good work
I’ve been meaning to go here forever. I loved this place growing up! So because of your video I broke down & went today. It did not disappoint I got the taco salad cup & it was so good! Thanks Adam
Naugles is a true blast from the past for me as we had one near my house in Suburban Chicago for just a couple years in the 80s. I remember loving that bean and cheese cup. They must have left the Chicago market when Del Taco bought them out.
Ive been hearing stories about Shakies for over a decade. We were so sad that location was closed by the time we were able to bring our son to visit. We love this series btw! My hubby grew up in the area you've been touring and we are loving the content!
You’ve got the coolest looking places to eat. Would love to try a bun taco someday. The bean and cheese dip looked good. The expression on your face when that woman stopped at your table was priceless. Hope y’all got out of there before she came back. Hope you keep these food series going. 😊
Loving this new series. Super cool seeing these CA spots. We don't have any Del Taco's here, but St. Louis does...always found it's either you love em' or hate em'. Thanks for sharing these. Take care man.
Back in the 80’s there was a Naugles in Bellflower close to where I lived and me and my bestie would hit that place in the morning for a beef burrito and fries after a little too much drinking with friends the night before. Our go to hang over food. Be careful in Stanton. Great vlog!
Hi Adam, I don’t often have a chance to comment but just wanted to let you know how much I am enjoying these videos. I watch every one and look forward to each one and it helps me feel better. Thanks and take care my friend
The look on your face when the lady said I'm going to get something and I'll be right back was priceless🤣 when I was a kid I lived in the Adirondacks of ny and my brothers use to chuck green pinecones at each other, my father would yell" YOUR GOING TO PUT YOUR EYES OUT! Looks like that can really happen 😱
Many years ago I was on the Company Opening crew. that must be 40 plus years ago. I started at Naugles at the Riverside store on 7th and Brockston. My self and John opened the Colton store and lived in a hotel. we both went on to open the Barstow store across from B-Hill. Those were fun times. The menu and the food was spot on and we were very popular with the customers in Barstow. that city is a hard one to work in because of the Number 1 Dell Taco Store still there and one of the top 5 McDonald's in the same general area. I am glad to see the Naugles come back. and I hope the new owners stay true to the idea from Dick Naugle.
I remember the mad greek haha. I never actually went there but would drive past it all the time. The look of the building and the unique name always stuck with me.
Adam the Woo you are one funny dude. 😆 Thank you once again 4 letting us join you on your food adventure. The food looked pretty tasty. Have you ever had a Taco Burger from Taco John's? That is what the Bun Taco looked like sorta.
I spent a lot of time in and around the LA area back in the 80’s and Naugles was my go to place, loved it. When I visited a few years ago I discovered Naugles was gone, I was heart broken. Guess I need to revisit so I can get Naugles one again.
redsqwirl Like they used to say on the best Rock and Roll station ever The MIGHTY MET KMET. I would rather have roses on my piano and tulips on my organ.WWWHHHOOOOYYYYYYAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
