Naval Assault of Athens (Massive Battles) 

Fun Fact: Athens has never been a city on the coast. Rather, Athens' naval power and trade was based in a port city just south west of Athens called Piraeus. This port city has been a prosperous port that has been open since before the Peloponnesian war, and is still the primary export/import harbor of Greece to this day!

It's so sad they made the Acropolis a single building. They should have made it into what it was used as, a stronghold you can put your soldiers on.

I'd really like to see a massive battle where you are the romans, with a naval attack on a celt settlement and its really overpowered. Like a massive roman elite army rushes into a rebellious barbarian town and wreaks havoc. Slaughtering everything and cutting down all who stand against them. I know tactically it won't be as impressive, but it just seems like something that would be so epic and satisfying.

Man, I've been listening to the History of Rome podcast for some time now and it rekindled my love for antiquity. I'm so happy you keep revisiting Rome II, I think it's a marvelous game.

Is there going to be another video on the roman legion evolutions? I loved that, it would be nice to see another.

I think a good deal of your units were lost to over-extension and maybe a little carelessness in this one. You rushed ahead with a small contingent of units before your allies were ready to support you, which lost you a good chunk of your rear invasion force and almost got you pushed backout completely. It's fortunate that your opponent made a really weird choice to send the bulk of his forces down to your landing site even though there were hardly any units left there in the second half of the battle, which left the door wide open for your allies. I get that that was probably what you were banking on the whole time, but I feel like it could've been done... less roughly, for want of a better term. Still a really fun video to watch, though!

Artillery ships are amazing I always bring two onager two ballistae for campaign like 8 evocati cohort maybe 9 not including general and rest usually are velites or auxiliaries with good late game stats it’s awesome can basically navy around capitulating nation after nation :3 those who didn’t know how to do naval battles in Rome probably expected to never have to pause unless they expected a mass click jumbled mess lol

Massed missile units seems way too OP in Rome 2 unless you have a massed missile group of your own which you never do as the defenders because you're spread so thin :(

Dogs would be perfect for pikes if they behaved realistically..

should stop to put more attackers then defender, beacuse then the defenders have an enormous disadvantage in gold, they have 20%less each (or something close to this) and they have also a persone less (so that they lose all the money from that person)
