Konstantin, this is worth translating in Russian and circulated . It wasn’t written in the Wild Bad West, but in the Republic of Moldova by an academic who knows what he’s talking about because they were under Soviet Occupation… THE GREAT RUSSIAN CULTURE. What is it? The usual situation is to turn a blind eye to the majesty and grandeur of a Christian fascist, terrorist and pedophile alike, like Dostoevsky. Whose novels are included as compulsory material in schools in Russian Federation. In reality, it is a culture of terror, exclusion, torture and summary executions. It is a culture of despair and the underground, both literally and figuratively. With the so-called great literature in which the imagery of the camps, of totalitarianism, of contempt for human life persists. However, there is not much talk about the great American, British, French, Italian, Spanish, or South American, Scandinavian, or Chinese, Japanese, or Indian literature. And in the end, about the greatness of a culture in the simplest and clearest possible way, I think, I can testify even the destinies of people who produce literature, art, culture. What was the fate of the great literati, as well as the other truly great people of Russian culture, in this case? Alexandr Sergheievich Pushkin - exiled (in Chisinau) and then killed (in a "duel") Mikhail Yurievich Lermontov - exiled (in the Caucasus) and then killed (in a "duel") Fyodor Mihailovichi Dostoevsky - accused, sentenced to death, amnestied and exiled to the camps (10 years) Leo Tolstoy - excommunicated by the Russian Orthodox Church Ivan Bunin, writer and laureate of the Nobel Prize for literature - emigrates Vatslav Nijinsky (dancer in Diaghilev's troupe) - emigrates, together with Miasin, Fokin, and Karsavina Teffy, writer - emigrates Sasha Chiornîi, poet - emigrates Merezhkovskii, writer and poet - emigrates Zinaida Ghippius, poet - emigrates Alexei Losev, philosopher, imprisoned in the camp, and his enormous and valuable library burned Pavel Florenski, brilliant religious philosopher, killed in the camp Nabokov - emigrates Kandinsky, painter - emigrates Shaliapin, famous singer - emigrates Sergei Rachmaninov, composer and performer - emigrates Igor Stravinsky, composer - emigrates Ilya Repin, painter - emigrates Mikhail Chekhov - emigrates Mark Chagall, painter - emigrates Berdiaev, philosopher - emigrates, included among hundreds of other representatives of Russian culture, for whom two philosophical ships were organized, intended to deport Lenin from Russia Pitirim Sorokin, famous sociologist - expelled Sergei Bulgakov, religious philosopher - expelled Serghei Trubetkoi, philosopher - expelled Konstantin Balmont, symbolist poet - emigrates Andrei Belîi, writer - expelled Nikolai Losskii, philosopher - expelled Prince Sergei Trubetkoi, philosopher - expelled Mayakovsky committed suicide Yesenin committed suicide Nicolai Kliuiev, poet, considered Esenin's teacher - executed Nikolai Gumiliov (husband of Anna Akhmatova and father of the future historian Lev Gumiliov) was executed Ana Ahmatova was banned from publication Lev Gumiliov, son of Nikolai Gumiliov and Anna Akhmatova, arrested four times and finally - camps Mandelstam, the poet, was exiled and killed Ariadna Efron, daughter of Marina Tsvetaieva - camps Meyerhold, an avant-garde director, was tortured and executed Boris Pilniak, writer - executed Alexandr Vvedenskii, writer - died in the camps Varlam Shalamov, the author of the famous "Stories from Kolîma" - camps Zinaida Reich, the mother of Yesenin's children and later Meyerhold's wife, was murdered in her own apartment Mihoels, the director, had an accident staged, that is, executed Likhachiov, the future academician, was arrested, exiled, and fired from everywhere Iuri Dombrovski, writer, more than twenty years in the camps Vavilov, the great geneticist, was tortured, during which he wrote a monumental volume The history of the evolution of the cultivation of the earth, text destroyed, the scientist dies of starvation, having previously endured about 400 interrogations lasting 1,700 hours Babel, writer, is tortured and executed The great poet Zabolotski sent to the camps The poet Olga Berggolz, pregnant, was tortured and after the beatings she gave birth to a stillborn child Marina Tsvetaieva was exiled and harassed until she committed suicide Daniil Harms, playwright and absurdist writer, dies of starvation in a mental asylum Sergei Koroliov, the father of the Soviet space project - camps The entire Bund Antifascist Committee was executed Director Tairov's theater was closed Mikhail Bulgakov was ostracized and banned Alexandr Gladkov, writer - camps Schwarz's plays were banned Andrei Tupolev, the great aircraft manufacturer - bearings Boris Pasternak, writer, was harassed and banned from publication Yaroslav Galan, Ukrainian writer, killed in 1949 Moisei Altman, Bessarabian writer of Hebrew origin - camps Iosif Brodsky, a famous poet, was harassed, convicted, and deported Soljenitsin was harassed, banned from publishing, and deported Dovlatov, a writer, was harassed and deported Galici, poet and singer-songwriter, was harassed and forced to emigrate Paradjanov, a film director, was imprisoned Mikhail Baryshnikov, ballet dancer, emigrates Nureev, ballet dancer, emigrates Andrei Tarkovsky, film director, was forced to emigrate Lyubimov, a theater director, had his citizenship revoked and was deported Revealing fact, but of the five marshals of the Soviet Union, Stalin orders the execution of three people as enemies of the people: marshals Tukhacevski, Egovor, and Bliuher, leaving alive his faithful servants, i.e. Voroshilov and Budionnii. Obviously, this is the short list of the Great Russian Cultural Purge, because the long list would undoubtedly include thousands of names of those condemned to camps and executions, of the tortured, of destroyed families and destinies, of the disappeared without a trace, of "cauterized" ideas ”, of burnt manuscripts, as well as about tens of millions of people killed. This is the real picture of a self-devouring culture that still faithfully follows the path of its own non-anticipation. ( credit Oleg Garaz)

My husband is Russian and moved to the US about 4 years ago. He thinks Putin is crazy and that Putin wants it to be like the old USSR again. I told him that I heard this guy went missing and he thinks it quite possible that he might be dead because the election is next year and Putin doesn’t want any opposers or challengers to him becoming President again. What’s sad is, if my husband’s grandparents or parents pass away while he’s here in the US, he can’t go home in fear that they will either send him to the front lines, or put him in jail for thinking he fled when he didn’t. He came here BEFORE the war ever started. I worry that if he went back for a funeral they’d never let him leave to come back to me.

serpentza's RU-vid channel is exposing all sorts of bad stuff that is currently going on in China, a country that he used to live in for more than 10 years until he finally had enough. "China, the land of shortcuts and facade", as he often states in his videos. Search for his videos about Chinese electric cars spontaneously catching fire in parking lots, and while driving in the streets. Well ... these amazing cars are now also driving around in the streets of Moscow. So a word of advice to you, Ivan, Igor and Boris: Make sure to always have a fire extinguisher ready, when you're driving your brand new Chinese-made electric car. 😂

When the Soviets assassinated the former Tsar and his entire family in 1918, the government only announced that Nicholas II had been shot, and that his widow and children had been "moved to a safe place". It was later discovered that this "safe place" was Nicholas' own grave. Possibly Navalny has also been "moved to a safe place". I don't know which is greater, the Russian authorities' historical ability to lie or the ability of citizens to believe whatever the government tells them.

U know in the 70s or so in Finland you were not allowed to buy plain beer in Finnish trains. Instead you could only buy beer with food. So what happened is that they had a meatpouch they would sell with the beer. Then the person buying the meatpouch would give it back for the next person to buy. That way it was legal to buy beer in a train.

About Alexei Navalny, I hate to say this, but in view of what is going on in Russia, it is amazing that he has lasted this long. He is such a threat to putin's regime because there are many people in Russia who supported Alexei at the time of his arrest. @sotiriapapadopoulou8945
@sotiriapapadopoulou8945 6 месяцев назад
Yes! Thank you! Nobody mentions that. It's so strange. Three things are possible: 1) Stupidity, but that's out of the question 2) Blackmail 3) The decision to become a martyr, to help the noble cause of political change in the country.

Next time you could mention the Finnish border situation, I don’t know how much it is discussed in Russia. Russia is pushing immigrants into Finland and that’s why Finland has now for the second time been forced to close the border. Russians in Finland couldn’t go to Russia for Christmas because the border control was so full of the immigrants from Russia.

While I love the crazy news update and appreciate the effort being put into a more varied approach with pictures and video, don't feel you have to do it this way if it takes too much time, especially as you post videos nearly every day! I know how much time it takes to edit such videos so please don't stress over them. Merry Christmas to you and your family and of course we all hope for a better new year!

It's hard for me to believe Alexei Navalny has survived as long as he has - and that was when they were semi concerned with public image - now, they don't seem to care how they look to the rest of the world 🤷‍♀️we must carry on the work that all our friends have begun - we have no choice, I don't want to live in the world these cretins have in mind for us- the US has people like that, so do the UK, and I'm sure every other country does as well 🕵🏽‍♀️💯

It sounds like both sources are active: there's the clarity of the close pickup and the reverb of something a bit farther away or maybe a path through a speaker back to the mic.

The Chinese had to dump all those electric cars they had made for this pay as you drive electric cars. These things littered China. You know if the West is having issues with EVs then China EVs can't be of top notch with respect to quality. They catch fire in the West too Constantine, in fact it isn't just Chinese EVs catching fire. What's even scarier than that is that my next door neighbor parks his Tesla right next door, and when these things burn they don't burn normally nor can be extinguished by water, the smoke can kill you if breathed into your lungs. EVs are not the save all they supposed to be.

@@INSIDERUSSIA No . There is one recorded instance when a Tesla caught fire when it ran over some debris from a truck it was following. Nothing much to do with EVs.

Dear Konstantin thank you once more for your wonderful reporting on Russia. You can turn those serious legations into humours segments to lighten their sinister tone. I think that way also. A very sad state of affairs where a government murders anyone who has popularity that could topple the current regime or threaten the doctrine mores the point. Anything that might cause the populace to think a little differently is a very good way to get you murdered in most countries but particularly so in Russia. It happened before even in USA with President Kennedy when the CIA murdered him.
