Navi Mumbai International Airport, officially renamed as, DB Patil International Airport, or Dinkar Balu Patil International Airport, and more recently named as Adani | Navi Mumbai International Airport is an international airport being constructed near the city of Navi Mumbai, Maharastra, India. It will serve in parallel with Mumbai's existing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), becoming the second airport of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Once completed, both airports will serve as India's first urban multi-airport system.

Both airport serve different purpose. Jewar airport is going to be logistic hub where Navi Mumbai was built to ease traffic of Mumbai airport.

Yes, but I believe 2 runways are not enough for a city like Mumbai, I hope there is room for a 3rd runway that could be built in future if required or they might end up building yet another airport to serve Mumbai maybe up north near Vasai.

@@rosskrizevac9777 The problem is lack of land. They managed to create space with many people displacement and moving a full hill. I think they have done maximum possible. But hey, 2 runways are not bad. Dubai, Hongkong are pretty busy and nice airports still operate with 2 parallel runways.

I think this Navi Mumbai Airport will be on the lines of JFK and Newark in New York, NY, USA (Port Authority). It can become the busiest international passenger gateway in South Asia (India). This airport will be accessible through road, metro rail and bus eventually making it the main international airport serving Mumbai city. I wish this airport can construct an additional runway or two making it easier for future operations. Any idea if it will have MRO facilities for Big Airliners? Anyways, great work done by the authorities. Droneman videos are always spectacular

@@mallikarjunhiremath525 India has lot people focus and out of point discussions. Developed world has entire work done by machines and many times custom machines are manufactured for large work. The people are employed there only to operate and coordinate machines. It is still large quantity. But the machine operated work is of very high quality and very fast. The discussions for any project are done in technical and economical manner and hardly any political side is intrided in it. Rather politocians are not allowed at most of the places. The decision makers are technical teams not politicians. This keeps developed countries more developed. Our county remains developing because of low profile of technical and more powers of politicians.

Hi @droneman your videos are fabulous. I have a request. Could you pls also publish any videos or information on the resources the govt is establishing to source water and electricity from? Thanks for the video. One suggestion. The text you are shoing in the video is dissapearing so fast that we have to pause the video every time to read what is being displayed. Just slow down or let the text display for few more sceonds for the viewers to be able to read
